Belgische Loodsensociëteit in Vlissingen

The room was located in the basement. Make sure not to book the (family) rooms (i.e., Scherpshut 8, 9, 10, or 11); it was sweltering in there. There was no air conditioning. We asked for a fan, but they didn't have one. The only window could be opened, but that meant people could easily jump straight in from the street. A different room wasn't an option. Pets—in this case, a dog—are allowed in the room, but it was far too hot for the dog as well. After a few hours, the dog woke us up, thirsty, and drained a whole bowl of water (normally, the dog sleeps through the night). We ended up opening the window and the door to the hallway, despite the risk of someone entering our room. It was a terrible night—uncomfortable and vastly overpriced.
