Econo Lodge Canterbury Court in Christchurch

Very Old Motel, First room we were offered was not fit to Live in, 2nd room ( The type we actually booked ) was better but still very poor , We elected to leave after 1 night of 3 night booking.. The onsite staff were helpful , but the reception was closed when we arrived , Mid afternoon, and the Contact number went straight to voice mail, After Texting i was contacted , But still , not satisfactory service.

Disgusting dirty rooms, stained upholstery, stained carpets, we wiped something off the lino and the wipe was black. There was mould in the bathroom. The room we saw on *********** was absolutely nothing like the room we were given. The grounds were unkempt, and building exterior very rundown. on arrival we were worried about our truck getting broken into. I wouldnt want to stay there in the winter because there was only a tiny fan heater for heating. Dont fall for the pictures!!!!! Not worth half of the $170 we paid. What a dump!

The room was massively neglected. Un clean plates, cutlery tray. Mould on shower screen, tv with no remote (which was reminded about 3 hours later). Grounds were rough to say the least, rubbish & overgrown. Staff seemed unavailable, office wasnt open whole stay

This is the hotel with the worst service and environment that I have ever stayed in.
Considering that it is relatively close to Christchurch Airport, I booked two nights in advance online at this hotel named "Ikeno Hotel - Canterbury Courtyard"! When I arrived at the check-in counter at exactly 4 p.m. on the first day of my stay, the front desk door was already tightly locked (the online announcement stated that the business hours were 8:30 p.m. from Monday to Sunday, and there was no indication that I needed to check in online by myself, including an email notification). I had no choice but to call the hotel through a mobile phone translation app on the spot. The person who answered the phone was a male customer service representative. After communicating back and forth and making several phone calls for over forty minutes, I still couldn't check in. Eventually, I was able to successfully check in through the platform of China Ctrip.
On the first night after checking in, I took a bath. However, I found that not only were the facilities old and the shower room separated by a cloth, but the key issue was that the water pressure and volume from the showerhead were too low. The entire bathing process was like watering flowers. I managed to finish the bath with difficulty, but my body still hadn't warmed up. It turned into a painful experience... The wireless network is also extremely poor, intermittent, lagging and stuttering... That night, with hope, I used the email address left by the hotel to report the problem to them, hoping that they could respond and solve it. However, by the next day, there was no email feedback at all!
Taking advantage of the next day when I went out, at around eleven o 'clock in the morning, I finally saw an Asian young man on duty at the front desk. I then told him about what had happened yesterday. He took out his mobile phone and told me through the phone translator (I don't know if he really doesn't understand a bit of Chinese) that after they checked, if the water flow problem of the showerhead couldn't be solved, they would arrange for me to come back and change rooms in the afternoon. Judging from his attitude, there's no need to say more. When I returned to my room at 4:10 p.m., I found that the showerhead in the shower room had not changed at all. I also didn't receive any information or notifications from the hotel in my email. When I went to check the front desk, the door was still closed and there was no one around.
Recalling the experience of constantly making phone calls and sending emails yesterday, I also had the thought of reporting the problem after death. I can only say that I encountered such a lousy hotel in Christchurch, New Zealand! It made my hotel stay experience and feeling extremely bad! It is recommended that Chinese people who have just arrived in Christchurch be cautious when booking hotels and inns to avoid pitfalls!

考虑到离基督城机场比较近，我在网上提前预订了两晚这家名为“伊克诺旅馆-坎特伯雷庭院”的旅馆！结果入住第一天下午四点整到达入住接待处时，前台接待处门已关闭紧锁（网上公布营业时间是周一到周日晚上八点半，又没有任何提示需要自助网上办理入住，包括电子邮箱告知），现场我只好通过手机翻译软件打电话给该酒店，接电话的是一位男性客服，反反复复沟通，前后打了几次电话，四十多分钟还是没有住进去，最后还是通过中国携程网平台帮我对接才入住成功）。
入住后第一个晚上洗澡，结果发现不仅设备陈旧，淋浴房是一块布隔开，关键是花洒出水压力和水量太小了，洗澡整个过程就像浇花一样，勉强洗完澡，身子还没暖和，它成为一次痛苦经历。。。。。无线网络也是差极了，时断时续，又卡又顿。。。。。。晚上抱着希望，用酒店留的邮件地址向其反映问题，希望能帮助响应并解决，结果到了第二天没有任何邮件反馈！
趁着第二天出门，上午十一点多钟，总算见到前台接待处有一个亚裔小伙子在值班，然后向他反映了昨天的遭遇，他拿出手机通过手机翻译告诉我（不知道他是不是真的不懂一点中文），意思是他们检查一下后，如果花洒水量问题解决不好，就安排给我下午回来换房。看他这个态度，也就不好再多说了。结果下午四点十分回到房间一看，淋浴房出水花洒没有任何改变，电子邮箱也没有收到该酒店任何信息和提示，再去看前台接待处还是大门紧闭空无一人。
联想到昨天不断打电话和发邮件的遭遇，我也死了再反映问题的念头，只能说自己在新西兰基督城遇到了这样一种烂旅馆了！让我这趟住店经历与体验感糟糕透了！建议刚到基督城的华人预订酒店旅馆慎入避坑！

Very dated. Shower dripping all night. Oven took over an hour to cook pizza on full temperature. Couch was very uncomfortable. TV remote could only be functional whilst holding batteries in place. No milk for coffee. Overpriced

The whole unit needs a good clean - mould in the shower - the shower curtain hadn't been washed for ages - it was mouldy and had soap residue. There were no tissues ont eh box in the bthreoom. Light shades in all reas were filthy. Curtains were hanging off the rail in the bedroom - the kitchen blind was filthy - there were splatters up the kitchen window - the mugs had dirty rings on the inside of them. The unit smelled of old cooking smells. The carpet was worn and had holes in it. The Skirting boards were grimmy and dusty - there was dust under the bed in the lounge and a previous guest's sports bandage under the bed. The rubbish bins were smelly.We were in unit 10. There was mould on the window sills in the rooms and on the windows.

Very close to Wolfbrook arena , was the only good thing , very expensive for a terrible room
