An excellent place to stay - Jim made us very welcome. The location is ideal, being handy to places to eat, the Govett Brewster Gallery and the spectacular coastal walkway. The room and bathroom were very clean and well equipped, and the guest laundry was very handy. We would definitely stay there again if we got back to New Plymouth

A short notice stay to attend a funeral was arranged and we were once again well accommodated and assisted by the Bella Vista team, thank you. Excellent service, studio room and location once again. Why go anywhere else!

Our second stay at Bella Vista New Plymouth and we chose this motel as it is within our budget, always clean, lovely comfortable bed. Also it is central to museums, cafes, the waterfront. Our main reason for this visit was to attend the festival of lights at Pukekura park. Our motel was quiet and private, looking out onto a grassy yard. Managers are friendly, approachable and helpful.

Excellent overnight stay, Wonderfully clean and well presented room and bathroom. Wonderful greeting on arrival .... not sure why the manual says Jim is a work in progress - he's awesome with a great casual kiwi sense of humour. Nothing was a problem - and had we even had one the service would have been amazing (I am sure) Perfectly located on the edge of the city with easy strolls to the city centre, museums, cafes and bars. No need for ubers here!

This was a great motel. We booked a Superior Super King room which had a great bed, simple kitchen facilities and a good bathroom. It was clean and tidy and down a quiet street just off Devon St (which appears to be New Plymouth's party zone) and about 3 mins walk to the sea. The guy at reception was friendly and helpful and gave us a couple of Candy Canes, so he deserves a mention. It's also directly opposite a free modern art gallery which has a superb cafe (open at 08:00 for breakfast). For dinner we ate at India Today on Devon St. which was spectacularly good. New Plymouth's youth appear to have a habit of buying really bad cars and then drawing everybody's attention to this by fitting monstorous exhausts and cruising up and down Devon St. They clearly have no shame!
