Disappointing. The view was good and the room was clean and comfortable, but, while never rude, the staff seemed wholly uninterested in helping us or responding to questions. In fact, it felt like we were an inconvenience to their day.

Arrived at about 4.00 p.m. went to check in to be told quite abruptly you can't check in we have no linen. Little by way of apology - you will just have to wait. We did not know how long it would be and sat in reception with our cases along with other people. WE finally were allowed to check in at quarter past five. Its a big hotel maybe grand 40 years ago, but interior i dated now still charming but much need upgrade. Room nice ok size, great balconey view, big telly but same dated. Breakfast maybe ok, had much better selection arrangment in Norway. Same great view when eating.

Brilliant hotel with great location. Excellent breakfast and dinner service and professional and kind hosts and hostesses. Good local beer in the bar. The view over the Nordfjord from the restaurant is very picturesque. All rooms have fjord view, comfortable beds and great amenities.

We had a pleasant stay at Oden Fijord hotel last may . The manger and all the staff are vey nice The room is spacious and has a balcony overlooking the fiord ,the view is amazing The restaurante has glass walls which also enables the view , we had dinner twice , dinner and breakfast very good

I have recently stayed here and found that the service here was excellent. I had made a telephone booking a few weeks before, as there was a glitch in the online booking process (now resolved). The booking was easily made by telephoning the hotel reception, without requiring any advance payment. I am fairly sure it was the same friendly receptionist who checked us in when our party of three arrived...

This was an excellent spur of the moment stop during our road trip through Norway. The rooms were clean and comfortable (heated bathroom floors were an added bonus). The staff were polite and amicable, provided excellent service and the breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend this hotel highly to anyone who needs a good place to stay for the night!

This was a really nice small hotel. Staff was so friendly, since this is small, they knew us after day one and talked to us and shared sightseeing recommendations. Food at the hotel restaurant was excellent.

Attended a cousin reunion. Very good breakfasts and dinners.

The Gloppen Hotell is lovely in every way. The room was beautifully decorated, modern, spacious, and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The view from our window was priceless. We loved everything about this hotel. Breakfast was quite special. The selection of foods was vast, so beautifully displayed, and delicious. Everything about the Gloppen Hotell is grand!

Wonderful Updated historical Gloppen fishing hotel Really enjoyed the hotel. New section was modern and very comfortable. Bed and bedding was great. Very clean. Bed too soft and room too simple (no place for two people to sit and to put your belongings.

Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Liked the hotel and the room. Couple of problems with the room - door to adjacent room left unlocked, faulty glass shower door. Still overall a good experience.

The hotel is in a great location, right by the fjord, with a waterfall right outside the window. The view of the fjord from the hotel's hot spring observation deck is fantastic! The hotel has a great seafood buffet for dinner!

There is plenty of parking, but the hotel itself can be quite busy because it accommodates tour groups. The location is excellent—right next to the hotel there is a small waterfall and a nature trail that leads directly down to the town. Both breakfast and dinner were good, and the room was decent.

Location is good. Breakfast was very good. Swimming pools and sauna in the morning were great. Standard room was not good with view to the street and we had to close the curtains for whole stay. The group travellers were too loud at the pool area and in the lobby.

Excellent host. Booked a last minute stay here for 4 people (2 rooms) and they were immaculate. We didn’t realise that one of the mountain roads were closed during the winter season (google maps showed it was open) so ended up calling the host who gave us directions using an alternative route which was very helpful. Had a great stay here a few days ago. Beautiful location (just a few minutes away from one of the best viewpoints in Geiranger) and very welcoming host. Ian has been hosting for a while and has a cute travel book where previous guests leave notes of appreciation (including those from Brazil, Israel and Singapore!)

What a wonderful hotel!! The rooms are very cute, spacious and well decorated. The hotel was a bit far from town, but the spectacular view of the fjord made up for it! Our host, Ian, was amazing and went above and beyond to help us have an incredible stay!

The location in Geirager is unbeatable. The staff are helpful, but the size of the hotel makes it feel somewhat impersonal. Breakfast was extensive and offered something for everyone.

The view of Geiranger Fjord from the room was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very kind.

We enjoyed coffee at the cafe in the front of the hotel. I saw a sign about a gift shop/ gallery so I asked and I’m glad I did. It was a great collection of local artists. In looking for the gift shop I got to explore the hotel, especially the new section and I wished we needed a hotel as I’d love to stay there ( but we were on a cruise!)

The Fjord is stunning. The hotel rooms view its majesty.Swimming is just a few steps away .You can warm up in outdoor sauna. The lapping of water rocked.me to sleep like a lullaby. Will return

The location is not as good as other hotels higher up. The room is very small. I visited my friends’ room in Hotel Union - great views and excellent room and beautiful dining room with excellent views.

Fantastic views from a hotel one mile from the madness that is Geiranger when the cruise ships arrive. The manager and his partner were gracious and accommodating, the hot tub felt great after a long day. Full bar, lovely restaurant, and the manage will take you into town as requested. Or, rent an electric Porsche and explore.

Really enjoyed our stay, room on 6th floor with great views of fjord. Room and bathroom although on the small side was functional. Dyson fan/heater helps keeps temperature in the room comfortable. We were during the shoulder season so Geiranger was kinda quiet, but parking at hotel did fill up pretty quick in the evening. Breakfast spread was one the better on this trip.

Our 7th floor room was spotless, comfortable, and the balcony overlooked the fjord. Coffee,tea, and water available in the lobby. We had 3 breakfasts and 1 dinner buffet in the Hyskge dining room. Delicious food,attentive service, and sweeping views over the fjord. We used the shuttle and the car charging station. Staff were professional and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel is located just outside the village of Geiranger, away from the busy center. A shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes, making it easy to get around. Our room (310, Double Room Panoramic Fjord View) offered a fantastic view of the fjord. In good weather, the furnished balcony is perfect for enjoying the scenery. There is possibly no better location than this. Every room faces the fjord. Balcony’s allow you to relax and watch the sun disappear behind the mountains and the Gerainger lights twinkle on. Service was immaculate too!

I had an excellent stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. My room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.I would definitely stay here again.
