3 star hotels in Hemsedal

We stayed here for 5 days during our ski trip ⛷️ as we arrived, we couldn't believe, that this is our accomendation! The pictures on booking.com are not representing how the hotel is. The rooms are much nicer, the lobby is very welcoming and the breakfast has everything you need. Also the staff and service is friendly and on a good level. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel 😊

summer time here have limited food options and restaurants may not open daily but it is a quite and pretty town.

4 of us stayed 5 nights in an apartment which could sleep 6. It was on two floors and had 3 bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and a balcony right above the river. It was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were super nice and helpful. Everything we asked about was immediately seen to, and information sought for us. The location was great, right in the centre of town and we could walk to shops...

I did not stay here just dropped in to use the gym. This is excellent for a hotel and allows one off drop ins (for 125kr).

I am extremely happy to have chosen this hotel for some relaxation, having researched for a few days. I feel like I found a great bargain gem. The service has been wonderful. Reception has been really informative and consistent. Rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Amazing view. Easy and best in class to check in/out online! Good parking just in front of cabin. Good kitchen utensils selection, good storage, warm floors in main social room. 25 min drive to Geilo if you want to go skiing there (we did). Clean and modern look as in pictures.

Overall great place in a beautiful location along the river. We rented a 3 bedroom container style house because the other rental for 5+ people wasn’t available. The overall space suited us just fine, beds were super comfortable, bathroom was nice, kitchen was easy to function in and had the bare essentials. We were bummed though that they didn’t tell us about the amenities with the ropes/zip line...

Fantastic location.... cleaning could be better. The place is a super location and concept perfect. But it needs some better cleaning. Also not good thatbthe restaurantnis not open for meals andvthere is no reference to this. Even when we spoke to the main switch board they had no idea about the openi g times if the restaurant. They thought it was open.

The facility itself isn't bad, but it's located in a spot where there's not much to do, especially if you're coming from Italy for a trip to Norway. We chose it to break up the train journey from Myrdal to Oslo, since we were traveling with three children, but it wasn't that great. High season had already ended, and we were practically the only guests at the campsite (besides us, who were in the chalet...

The accommodation was very pleasant and well-located in a quiet area. I thought I had rented the cabin on stilts because that was the photo in the listing. This was not the case. I found the information regarding our assigned accommodation unclear; we arrived late in the day and called the provided phone number to inquire about our accommodation, but no one answered. We finally found our accommodation...

It was modern and kids had a great indoor play area and outside bouncing thing. BUT… 1 toilet building for the entire camping… NO shade anywhere but inside. NO kids entertainment like promoted… Would not recommend this camping for a long stay.

Cozy and warm cabin where you are instantly out in the nature once you step out. The shared toilet and shower is clean and comfortable. I tried their sauna and it was very relaxing. I recommend this place for anyone who like to spend time alone with nature when visiting Geilo. I decided to extend one more night upon arriving.

Basic Rooms were very basic but beds were ok . Toilets and showers were very clean

I stayed at Øen Turistsenter for five nights in February 2025. The Customer Service was excellent, including one of the staff helping me with the washing machine, my Hytte was warm and breakfast great. Only drawback going outside to the loo at night and to wash. Otherwise I have no complaints at all, and I would recommend Øen Turistsenter to anyone I know who would like to visit Geilo.

Local cozy and warm cabin where you are connected to the nature with outdoor toilet in winter and summer I recommend it so strongly with nice and kind lady welcoming you next morning for not included breakfast.

Room and amenities were very good. I would stay away from the breakfast, not much offered. Everything else was completely satisfactory

This property was perfect for our needs. Very simple, very clean, very affordable, and the staff was very friendly.

Centrally Located Apartment Good location in the centre of Geilo. We had a two bed apartment with a lounge area, kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy bed. Downsides, you can't specify where in the block you want to be. Although we booked over 6 months ago, hoping for a view, we found ourselves on the ground floor looking over some sheds/shacks with very little view of the spectacular scenery. Also,...

We really enjoyed the stay very nice place!

Good location, a 5-10 mins walk from the station, short distance to the ski bus stop. Ski storage room in the block. Lots of supermarkets within walking distance. Quiet at night. Well equipped apart from no tea towel or microwave. TV bigger than the one we have at home! Tiny second bedroom with bunk beds but was OK for our teenagers for three nights.

The hotel is very good, with a history of more than 100 years. The breakfast is rich and delicious. There are supermarkets and restaurants not far from the door. English communication is fully understandable.

There is no water bar in the room and no floor towels in the bathroom

I stayed here with family twice this year. The cabins are cosy. The beds are very comfortable, the cabin is warm and the kitchen had everything we needed to self cater. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would love to visit again.

Very nice beds and kitchen, it has fridge and dishwasher, sauna, upstairs and downstairs bathroom. We hit our head on the ceiling some times. Some thing is also broken. Could get more shelve in the bedroom. Have wifi.

Smashing little place for self-catering ski holidays. Hytten are well appointed, clean and warm. The snow was very deep till the kids got hold of it. This side of the resort is percet for beginner to intermediate and the regular busses that run to the other side of town will have advanced skiiers on the runs quickly. Great value family accommodation close to good April skiing. Assuming you are not looking for five star hotel accommodation these cabins are conveniently located and well maintained. We stayed in the more modern “superior” cabin which lacks a covered outside space but has a wonderful view. The older cabins have more kitchen space but we managed to cook fine for 10 in the space we had. We’ve been before...

The cabins are perfectly situated close to Geilo Center, and the nice hiking tour around Ustedalsfjorden. All cabins have nice surroundings between the trees, which makes it cosy. We have spent several summervacations here, and Geilolia always delivers. Sitting out on the terrace with table and chairs on a sunny day ,or spending time inside by the fire feels great. Or heating up the sauna after hiking...

we were six ladies having a fabulous weekend at Geilo. The apartment had all we required, and was very well equipped. But since the area still is a building site, the environment was a bit slippery and dirty.
