We were only on a day’s visit in Alta and booked a trip to the igloo hotel . Understand that there different theme each year and that builders and artists build this awesome structure. 2nd of its kind in the world, cost 395NOK per person which included the ice glassed vodka. You admire all the sculptures and wall craft - as well as the ice church. You can stay in the hotel , and as check in was 8pm we were able to look into the various rooms and suites. Not sure if I could sleep on insulated mattress, sleeping bag and reindeer skin. The area has had the warmest March and you could see that very soon it will all melt - until next year. We spent about 2 hours there , enjoyed the visit.

Great Hotel/Lodge, very friendly staff. When the Northern Lights are there, you can easily see it from your room with a stunning landscape in the background. It is convenient to have breakfast and two dinner restaurants. However whilst the food is good, for the price I would have expected slight higher quality of the dishes.

We did not stay in the hotel, but we visited the ice hotel to enjoy the beautiful sculptures and the amazing artwork, that the hotel itself is.
It is very much worth a visit, to admire this special type of accommondation, even if you need to leave an entrance fee.

So wanted to come here to stop in the Ice Hotel. Slept really well! On arrival they took you through the procedure for sleeping in the Ice room. The sleeping bags were very warm and due to my thermals I was very earm and comfortable. Theres places to sit if you needed to to come back in and warm up. Spar is great, breakfast good, lots of choice. If you dont have a car I do recommend booking the hotel shuttle. 500 nok one way and 25 mins to the airport.
I only stopped one night. Will definately be coming back again but for longer. This was at the end of a two week trip around Norway

This review is just for the Iglu Hotel visit. It’s quite nice so far, if you haven’t visit another ice hotel so far. I compare it with the one i visited in Lapland last year, close to Rovaniemi. That was way better than this one and the entrance fee was half. I know Norway is more expensive and it’s worth to visit, but 70€ for 2 pax is a lot.
They put a lot of efforts in it to build so I am glad I can support the future of building it every year

Everything about Sorrisniva was above and beyond our expectations. Booking our stay and excursion package, airport transfers and check-in went very smoothly. The ice hotel was an amazing experience and is truly impressive. The Wilderness lodge and our river room were beautiful. The food was the best I had in Norway at both Lavvu and Maku. The excursions were well planned and made for great memories. And I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, making a wonderful experience that much more enjoyable.

We were very lucky to have this place on our list! Although we had no idea the ice hotel wasn’t finished yet, they still allowed us to join a construction tour, just a week before it was finished when the artists were still working on each room, and to meet some of the artists, as well as have a drink! What an amazing structure!

The dining was delicious, Ben was a great bartender with perfect suggestions, and his dining service was excellent.

We were also glad to FINALLY see the northern lights for the first time while staying here, after 5 nights of straight fog.

All facilities were beautiful and staff incredibly professional and friendly. They organized all activities and dining in advance as per our request. A truly 5 star experience all around.
