Good hotel in city center Almost a new hotel in city center, seafront restaurants and breakfast area.

Great location on the water. I was able to check in early since the room was ready, very appreciative. Buffet breakfast was very nice, lots of options, even gluten free.

Good location, the breakfast is the best in Norway, the price is reasonable. I was given an early check-in. The only regret is that I was given a barrier-free room. The brightest light is the toilet light.

The breakfast was good, but the room was very cold. The air conditioning only went up to 24 degrees Celsius and didn't blow any hot air. The room was reasonably clean and tidied daily, but the window glass was cracked which was a bit alarming.

There are just so many pluses about Clarion Hotel the Edge. First of all, the staff are not only friendly, but professional in answering our questions. The room is clean and beds are so comfy. And of course, great breakfast! I will stay at Clarion Hotel again when I visit Tromso in the future.

After visiting the Lofoten Islands, Tromsø felt more like an optional stop than a must-see. Location: The hotel's location is good, close to the pier. Room: The hotel corridors and rooms looked quite dated, not at all like a five-star hotel. The room was tiny. Paying over 2,000 NOK a night for a single room in January, it felt ridiculously small. I've stayed at two different Radisson hotels in Oslo that were much better than this one in Tromsø. Plus, the mattress was incredibly soft, with absolutely no support. At this price, aren't you going to get better mattresses for your guests? The moment I lay down, the whole bed just caved in....

The front desk staff were very kind and even upgraded our room. The view from the window was beautiful. Overall, it was a good stay. Just remember to re-tap your card on the door lock when you leave.

I booked a sea-view room, but a large building was blocking the view. The bathroom cleanliness was quite poor; there were red and black hairs on the tiles that remained there for both nights of my stay. The female receptionist was also a bit cold.

The hotel is centrally located near most tourist spots and meeting points for tours. The breakfast is nice with a variety of food but would be even better if there can be variations between days. There is also a gym and sauna overlooking the harbour. A nice place to stay in town.

Good location ,near downtown ,room is good as advertised.

My second stay in this hotel in a Standard Double Room. Difference from my previous booking of a Superior Room is that there were no slippers and no coffee machine. Go for the Superior Room for better in-room amenities. Nonetheless, the service, location, breakfast were excellent. We saw the Northern Lights from the harbour just a couple of minutes of walking from the hotel.

Thon hotel Svolvær is way newer and better than the thon hotel lofoten in term of the room, breakfast.

Hotel location is very good, right next to the docking harbour for cruises and there are a few car rental companies nearby. However, we arrived on a very busy day and they only had limited parking spots on a first come first served basis, so we had to park quite far away. Feels budget, standard business type hotel, room does not have kettle and reception originally said there are none left, and to get hot water from the machine downstairs (bring it cup by cup) Until the wife made a reasonable but firm request to sort it, then reception went around other rooms and found us one. They had a new intern practising his job. He was the best. He was so helpful and nice when our family arrived. Also other staff was great!

Clean room with good shower. No hot drinks facilities in room. Could do with soft seating in reception and a few more baggage trolleys.

Defunct card. Lived in a room for handicapped. Nice room and bed with electric adjustments. WC is mounted a bit close to the wall. Fantastic breakfast. When ordering room i did a mistake and ordered Thursday to Saturday. And then Sunday. When i came they combined these 2 orders, but they haven't done it so my keycard was defunct.

Check in simple. Excellent breakfast buffet. Room clean and serviceable for a brief overnight stay.

The location is amazing! All the pick up spots for the activity were 3-10 mins walk. However, the nightmare started when we got to the room to realise that the bin was full…. The location is very good anyway Tromso is very small town but super beautiful so from hotel to basically every where is super easy. The breakfast is really great lots of selections, hotel staff is super friendly and helpful.

Low value for money- room rate was ridiculously expensive. Room while is decent size, it is extremely sparse with one extremely thin pillow, no desk, no tea/coffee, no desk/ chair. Two lonely arm chair and that’s it!

Great location ! Right in the city centre ! Excellent buffet breakfast ! But can’t enjoy it well because of Chinese customers who were loud. The 2 breakfasts we’ve had there felt like we were in a market because of them ! Staff should do something about this so other people can enjoy their meals with peace. Hotel was well kept !

This hotel was comfortable - great bed and pillows It’s convenient and walkable and the staff were great! The only thing I didn’t like was the automatic bathroom light. Not so nice to have such a bright light in your face at 2am! Shocks you right awake!

Fabulous views, central location, well priced In this price range, we have to say this is one of the best hotels so far. The views are fabulous. There are water views even if you have a city view! The bed is comfortable and good size, the location is convenient. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent 3 night stay before our cruise to Svalbard. Wonderful view of the harbor, nice room, delicious breakfast, friendly staff. Highly recommend!

The views are incredible – from my room, I could see the Arctic Cathedral and the cable car. The location is excellent, and I was very satisfied with my three-night stay. However, the cleaning service was a bit of an issue. For consecutive nights, they don't clean by default, and you have to book cleaning a day in advance. When we first entered our room, there were cleaning tools and dirty cups left...

The location is top-notch, but everything else is just so-so, a bit like a cruise ship cabin. If you're mainly in Tromsø for activities, it's suitable, primarily because of its convenient location. The airport shuttle stops right outside the hotel.

The room was clean and tidy. There's a Rema supermarket nearby, and several small shops to browse. One of the outdoor gear shops even had Arc'teryx. However, many shops were closed during the New Year period and reopened on the 6th. We checked in pretty late like at 2am, and was glad the frontdesk was still open and they very quickly helped us check in without hassle. Pity that parking is paid (but do not park right outside the hotel at omma!, there's a waaay cheaper parking just the street across for 1/3 the price!) Room was normal, nothing special!

Decent stay, premium room comes with nice sea port view. Could have made more effort to make parking easier as foreigners are not familiar. Got a parking fine as we did not display the paid ticket but successfully appealed after writing in but caused inconvenience.

Location is good, just walk a few mins to the shopping center, convenient store and restaurants, 20min walk to airport. 24hrs reception, it's convenient if you take a night flight. Room is clean and comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful. I really enjoy staying here.

Convenient location and clean. Unfortunately we came over Easter Holidays and only a few stores were open (outside of hotel). Hotel bar was also closed.

Extremely satisfied! They even gave me a free upgrade. The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel is super close to the port and the pick-up point for day tours. It's warm, clean, and tidy. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, especially convenient if you're catching a ferry. The room was very spacious. They also offer indoor parking for a fee of 200 Krona. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options. However, the underground parking area had a distinct restaurant smell, which wasn't very pleasant.

Centrally located in Tromsø, just a short walk to the pedestrian street, and there's a large supermarket right behind the hotel. The room wasn't huge but perfectly adequate.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the city center's commercial district and major transport hubs. Key city attractions are also very close, and the breakfast offers a good variety. The front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping staff all perform their duties efficiently and work in an orderly manner.

The hotel is conveniently located near bus stops and an airport shuttle, making it perfect for independent travelers. The service is excellent, and both the facilities and amenities are top-notch. I especially appreciated the heated bathroom floor.

Easy walking distance to most attractions in Tromso. Breakfast selection was amazing. The bed was soft and comfortable. Bathroom spacious with everything you need. Staff were very friendly and polite. Most spoke more than one language which was helpful.

How is it possible to not have black-out curtains in a place that you know the sun it's out on the sky non-stop.

The hotel is very well located! It allows you to avoid having to drive to do some shopping or go to the mall. The staff is warm and helpful (especially the restaurant manager who was there on the morning of January 31st). The breakfast is more than adequate! Facilities: Parking is convenient, everything you need is available, but the hot water isn't enough for two consecutive showers – you have to wait between washes. Cleanliness: Clean and comfortable. Big area, nice location, we even watch northern light in terrance!

Everything was good, the view is stunning, it’s simply amazing. The only problem is the ultra sensitive fire alarm. Even if you boiling water it will trigger the fire alarm. The receptionist is easily contactable via WhatsApp and they will guide you through how to reset the alarm.

I absolutely loved this place, especially the kitchen. There's ample parking with electric vehicle charging stations, and you can see the Northern Lights from inside the room.

Such a beautiful place and so serene. We stayed at their little red cabin, and the mountain view is iconic. The cabin has everything we need and we can even do our own cooking. The checkin experience was seamless too through their app. Totally recommend to stay here if you are visiting Lofoten.

The location is fantastic! It's super close to the reindeer meeting point, the Northern Lights meeting point, and the bus stop. We were traveling with a toddler and stayed in a business room, which was very spacious with two 1.6m beds and still plenty of room. My only slight disappointment was that the pictures showed scenic views, but we were given a room on the 4th floor with a view of a rooftop...

This hotel feels like a budget chain in China, and it's not great value for money.

Awesome location, lots of cafe and restaurant nearby , clean and very good services. We stayed just a night and we were lucky to see northern light by 15 minutes walking form the hotel ( as advised by the receptionist) A perfect place to spend during your stay in lofoten ❤️

The location is fantastic! Our balcony opens right up to the sea, so we could just sit there and relax. The breakfast area was lovely, with a great variety of food, and it starts at 7 AM, which is super convenient. Definitely worth staying here!

A small cabin by the sea, toiletries provided. Still no slippers. Housekeeping isn't done automatically; you have to request it. Breakfast is excellent. It's a 10-minute taxi ride to the airport. Sport 1 and the main area are a 5-8 minute walk away. The whole town is like a small area of 500*800m, so everything is within walking distance.

When we first walked in, we did not like the look of the hotel, at all. It gave us the creeps. But the desk clerk was very, very nice and our room was nice and mostly comfortable. There was heat wave and the hotel had no air conditioning or even a fan. Our view was fabulous and the breakfast was excellent

Highly recommended! The hotel is beautifully located, right on the marina. There's a good restaurant on site, which is also popular with locals, and you can also sit outside. The room was good and clean; it was a truly wonderful experience to stay there, and it was one of the best hotels on our trip to Norway. You have to find or pay for parking.

Very welcoming and kind staff. 10/10 service and we will definately stay there next time we are in Bodø.

The hotel's location is fantastic, and the rooms have kitchens if you want to cook your own meals. The rooms were quite warm. The front desk staff was also very helpful. Tromso is generally expensive, which was the only downside of the hotel. Other than that, everything was great.

We received a free upgrade. The lady who checked us in was bubbly and helpful. Our room was warm, clean and spacious. Very happy with our stay.

The room was nice and quite clean.

This is an apartment-style hotel, labeled 4 stars, but it's not even as good as the 3 stars in China. The small, winding parking garage is very difficult to park in. We stayed on the fifth floor, and the windows were not soundproof at all. Cars and motorcycles were noisy most of the night, making it a very bad stay.

I was very satisfied with the early check-in and the willingness to change from a double bed to a twin bedroom.
