The location is quite central, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the city centre and its main attractions. Walking to the Arctic Cathedral, located on the other side of the bridge, takes approximately 40 minutes.
The staff are very polite and friendly. I would particularly like to mention Clelia, who checked us in, in a highly efficient and courteous manner and also kindly facilitated our aurora tour. Another front desk officer, Sworna, is an excellent professional; she dealt with us very politely and facilitated us very efficiently.

Several aspects of the stay were disappointing. The advertised availability of tea and coffee in the lobby felt more symbolic than real. Cookies were unavailable most of the time, and the waffle station ran out within approximately twenty minutes with no refilling.

Housekeeping was not provided at all during the stay, despite repeated assurances. As per the stated policy, cleaning was to be provided on alternate days. In reality, not a single cleaning was carried out in the apartment during our three day stay. I attempted to speak with the manager at the front desk and was informed that the housekeeping staff had left early due to Christmas and that the number of guests exceeded the hotel’s capacity to manage services. This explanation itself reflects inadequate planning and poor operational management, particularly during a predictable peak period such as Christmas.

Internet connectivity was a major issue. There was no functional WiFi in the apartment building next to the hotel. In apartment 204, the WiFi signal was completely absent. A complaint was made on 22 December around 5 pm to the bearded staff member on duty, who assured that the issue would be fixed, but it never was. The WiFi network of the main hotel building was visible but extremely weak and unreliable in the apartment building.

The front desk staff member with a beard, who was on duty on the evenings of 22 and 23 December, repeatedly provided inaccurate and misleading assurances regarding both internet connectivity and housekeeping. None of these issues were ever resolved. This staff member was unreliable, and his commitments could not be trusted.

Overall, while some front desk staff members were courteous and helpful, the management performance was poor. The justification of high guest volume during Christmas and reduced staffing is not an acceptable excuse but rather a clear indicator of weak management and inadequate contingency planning. The messaging exchange with Klaudia, the manager, was unsatisfactory and further reinforced this impression, particularly in the context of handling operations during high occupancy periods such as Christmas.
