The lobby was very nice, rooms are very ssmall and needed some upgrade, toilet looked and felt like it was about to fall off the wall. Breakfast was always the same the 4 days we stayed.other than that it was a quiet and peaceful stay

It was my first time at this hotel, I went with my 4-year-old son and it was excellent, very pleasant, with an excellent breakfast with a lot of variety. My only complaint was that I found the scrambled eggs strange, at least not like I'm used to eating them that way; maybe they're made with liquid egg or egg white, I'm not sure, but apart from that everything was excellent. Good location but hallways are a bit dark. Rooms are alright with good water pressure in the toilet.

Normal hotel unit within its category. I didn't like the fact that I was given a Twin room when the reservation was made for a double room with a double bed. The Hotel noted that this error was due to the information received through the platform through which I made the reservation. Super location and nice service, the view of seaside is perfect!

Everything was absolutely wonderful! They are super friendly and always go above and beyond. Feels almost like you’re in a cruise.

Staff were very friendly. Beautiful size room and always very clean. Bed was very comfortable. We received a free bottle of wine with our stay. We also had to check out before 7:00am, so we were provided breakfast to go. Would definitely stay there again

The room and staff were excellent, as well as the l9cation. The only downside was the traffic and street noise, but its in a city.

This property is tired. We learned that they are starting renovations next month. Once the renovations are completed, we would stay here again. It is in a good location with many great dining options close by.

asked for early check in and a call for when room was ready, never received call. Desk service not friendly at all.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice but would be better to have more diversity. The issue were the cards to open the room. Had to ask reception to charge cards at least once a day. Thank you :)

Although the hotel is outdated, I dont think I have ever been to a hotel where the room was so spotless. I appreciate a clean room versus it being updated. Parking is also pretty easy, didnt get to use the facilities but lots of options for the continental breakfast. I do have to say though it's quite disappointing to not have a tea/coffee boiler or a microwave in the room or acess to a 24/7 machine...

Great hotel Great Hotel to explore Ponta Delgada and the island. Has a large parking spot and is also near to a mall where you can get all the things for your day trips.

Alright but not outstanding I would describe the hotel as "so-so". It's very much a package holiday place - a big hotel with lots of people so to be fair is probably not where we would usually chose to stay. My kids were both interested in the gym but it is closed down - which was annoying. The room was fine with a very large balcony. The quality of the food at the buffet breakfast was very mixed...

A very cool hotel, the staff is incredibly friendly. I was delighted. They brought champagne to my room as a compliment. They made concessions before check-in. The food is delicious. The rooms are clean. I'm happy. The pool is warm.

Everything was impeccable, super clean and spacious rooms for 4 people, 5-star reception service, very good breakfast and they never let anything run out, always replenishing the food. The indoor pool was very good, but the water was colder in the last 2 days. One or two employees in the restaurant could be a little more friendly.

The hotel is fine, highlighting the breakfast with a lot of variety and quality, it is a bit far from the center about 20 minutes walk and the attention at the reception is quite questionable, the attitude of the blonde girl at the reception leaves much to be desired.

Excellent hotel, where we were warmly welcomed. Very peaceful, with a pool, sauna, and Turkish bath, and the added bonus of providing towels for use both in the hotel and outside, on the beaches or in the thermal baths, which can be changed whenever necessary. The breakfast is very varied and emphasizes local produce, cheese, fruit, and yeast cake. Definitely a must-try.

The pool didn't have hot water due to a problem, they knew this but didn't notify us before booking and it was the main reason for choosing the hotel, the sauna was cold, one of the showers didn't work and the Turkish bath only when I was leaving did I realize there was a button to turn it on.

The cleanliness rating of 4 is due to the pipe smell in the bathroom. The rest of the room was impeccably clean. The breakfast is excellent. The hotel is located in an area where there is plenty of free outdoor parking.

Bright, clean, affordable, lovely pool, breakfast is included with the room, parking is available right outside the hotel at about .50/hour. ($20 US overnight) - rough estimate. Parking on the street is SUPER limited and the streets are SUPER tight.

We didn't have breakfast as we had an early start the following day. I highly recommend this hotel for the lovely and welcoming reception staff and the huge rooms! We had a big bedroom, a hall, a bathroom, a large balcony and a separate lounge/diner/kitchen. The hotel was also in a good location to explore Ponta Delgada on foot.

Great hotel. Centrally located with parking (for a fee). Rooms are very quiet. Staff is excellent! Only complaint is mattress and pillows are uncomfortable.

Great quiet place to stay close to the historic district. Rooms I stayed before and after sailing for two weeks were fabulous!

Antillia is a great place to stay. Amazing location. Free parking is a fantastic perk. Such a great sauna. Very clean. Suggestion; the pillows are really second rate.

Very central with comfortable rooms, and the breakfast was absolutely to die for — especially Grandma’s bread rolls and the wonderful selection of cheeses. Even the restaurant impressed us with good food, friendly service, and very reasonable prices. A truly delightful stay.

This is a refurbished older building that was modern inside with a few touches of the past in the lobby area. It was very convenient for catching tours that met you just at the corner of the street as the streets themselves are too narrow for the vans. The breakfast buffet was terrific with many options. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean and contemporary. Helpful desk staff.

Are stay was excellent. Only thing I would recommend is the pool should be heated as it was very cold.

A very friendly welcome and a delicious breakfast. Excellent location in the old town. The pool was cold due to its shady location.

Nice hotel, excellent location, walking distance to many bars, and restaurants.

Greatest pizza place right on the corner. Staff was really nice and helpful. Downtown was a 3 minute walk.

Very clean which is my number 1! Staff are all very nice, especially the cleaning ladies. Breakfast is really good and many options included with your stay. We were upset to have missed it some mornings! Overall I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Excellent staff -- both receptionists and housekeeper. Delicious buffet breakfasts also

This was our second visit to Hotel Gaivota Azores and we would come back again gladly. The staff are very warm and friendly, there is a parking pass available to rent, there is free breakfast, they offer a birthday cake delivered to room to celebrate a bday, and the view is amazing. We love it there! Zero complaints!

Great location. Great apartments overlooking the harbour. Very clean. Parking is quite expensive though and you can't smoke on your balcony.

We had a junior suite which had a large balcony and a fantastic panaramic view of the harbour. On arrival we were welcomed and checked in speedily and found our room beautifully presented. Breakfast and eating area very good with lots of choices. Very central to all that happens in P D and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, great walkable location, spacious clean room. Only thing we did not have in the room was an iron but the front desk let us use a steamer. Would stay again.

The room was nice and clean, the breakfast and the server lovely. Parking was challenging.

Very clean, great location, near restaurants, great breakfast.

The entire staff was friendly and great. The location was perfect, as I was just a few minute walk to the Marina, restaurants, and shops. The hotel and room were all clean and inviting.

Good hotel, comfortable, close to city centre. It rates itself as 4 star but it given that amenities and furnishings were basic, I think it is more like 3 stars. Also, bathroom had a musty odor - I think it’s because of the high humidity in this region and if they put a small dehumidifier in each room that would solve the problem.

Quaint hotel with a nice breakfast and friendly staff. They opened breakfast a little early for me to allow me to check out early.

Convenient location and pleasant staff. Would have been easier not to have to figure out where to park. Nice to have breakfast included but 90% was the same everyday for 6 days (scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, yogurt, cold cereals)

The hotel sits within a pedestrian-friendly zone, which makes walking around town easy and enjoyable without worrying about heavy traffic. We stayed at this hotel for around a week. Staff/ Service: The staff at the reception was always kind and helpful, though it has to be mentioned that some staff are more 'useful' than others when asking for advice. While some staff members might just hand you the phone number of the local taxi service, others help you to manage and organize the whole trip. Thank you again for your awesome service...

The whole experience was a pleasure, 12 days of heaven. From the friendly staff to the cleanliness of the Hotel and the quality of the food at Palm Terrace we got the full service.. treated like royalty and definitely going to come back during the summer months. The beautiful lights and decor for new years and Christmas was breathtaking as walking the streets downtown Ponta Delgada is a must at night...

Great breakfast, friendly knowledgeable staff. Beautiful room which was recently updated. Close to shops and the harbour for easy walking. Building is well maintained and very clean. Bar and restaurant on site is great if you don’t want to venture out. Have stayed here many times and will always come back.

Superb boutique hotel, right in the centre of town. Roof-top gym and infinity pool were excellent, with lovely views over the city and harbour. Our room was clean a d well appointed, with a small balcony. The breakfasts were very good, and the restaurant meals were also very good. Secure parking available for 6 Euros a day. We would absolutely stay at this place again.

Great off season stay! Wonderful staff. Spacious and clean room. Safe & inexpensive dedicated parking. Breakfast included. Only issue was some unsavory people in the adjoining park. Overall, great location and stay.

We stayd over a week here and really dont see a point been in any other hotel if you want to be in good location, Hotel is near airport so short trip (bolt costs 5-8euros depending on the time and how busy), easy walk to the Ponta Delgata capital. Also the hotel has good size parking garage with low cost so renting a car will be effortless. Breakfast was decent nothing special but fresh fruits, pancakes...

I was able to book a low rate room during the holidays and I was very happy with my experience. Breakfast was great (included), staff was friendly, comfortable bed, and my room was very clean. I’m glad I asked for a room away from the elevator so it was quiet. My only complaint is that the jacuzzi was not very hot. This is definitely 4 stars for the Azores, but not a high-end hotel like in the US...

We stayed at the Azoris Royal Garden for 6 nights as two adults and a 5 month old infant. It's nice to park the rental car and walk the city of Ponta Delgada. Good restaurants within three blocks, easy access to and from the airport, and very clean, spacious rooms. Breakfasts were good (Nespresso self serve coffees create long lines) and plentiful. The also have a well trained restaurant staff for dealing with a lot of people between 7 and 10 am.

The location is close to the airport, but the bus from the airport to all Ponta Delgada hotels is a flat price. The breakfast is relatively simple. We ate it for four consecutive days and it was a bit greasy. The indoor facilities and environment are normal four-star hotels.
