The lobby was very nice, rooms are very ssmall and needed some upgrade, toilet looked and felt like it was about to fall off the wall. Breakfast was always the same the 4 days we stayed.other than that it was a quiet and peaceful stay

We had a great stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are clean, beds are so comfy, the bar was great, restaurants were awesome. We went swimming across the street in the harbour…in December!! It was great overall.

I love this hotel. I stayed there during a layover and it happened to be New Year’s Eve. My room was upgraded so I had view of the fireworks over the harbor.

The staff are very friendly and professional, and there was all kinds of little perks we didn't expect, like turndown service, a complementary pastry and drink tray and amazingly comfortable rooms. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Location was great, very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Our rooms were even ready for us when we arrived early in the morning which we appreciated after an overnight flight. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is tired. We learned that they are starting renovations next month. Once the renovations are completed, we would stay here again. It is in a good location with many great dining options close by.

Although the hotel is outdated, I dont think I have ever been to a hotel where the room was so spotless. I appreciate a clean room versus it being updated. Parking is also pretty easy, didnt get to use the facilities but lots of options for the continental breakfast. I do have to say though it's quite disappointing to not have a tea/coffee boiler or a microwave in the room or acess to a 24/7 machine...

Great hotel Great Hotel to explore Ponta Delgada and the island. Has a large parking spot and is also near to a mall where you can get all the things for your day trips.

Alright but not outstanding I would describe the hotel as "so-so". It's very much a package holiday place - a big hotel with lots of people so to be fair is probably not where we would usually chose to stay. My kids were both interested in the gym but it is closed down - which was annoying. The room was fine with a very large balcony. The quality of the food at the buffet breakfast was very mixed...

Excellent place to start your island adventures. The room was comfortable and had everything you need. The spa was definitely worth it. I think breakfast was a favorite with the variety and delicious choices. The chef will make any kind of egg you want. They offer help with activities and are incredibly helpful and friendly.

This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We were very pampered and the breakfast was outstanding. Even the mimosas are included.

Staff were great. We only stayed 1 night during a stopover but the staff went out of their way to help us see a little of the area in the little time that we had. The room was quiet and clean, the breakfast excellent and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Everything was impeccable, super clean and spacious rooms for 4 people, 5-star reception service, very good breakfast and they never let anything run out, always replenishing the food. The indoor pool was very good, but the water was colder in the last 2 days. One or two employees in the restaurant could be a little more friendly.

The hotel is fine, highlighting the breakfast with a lot of variety and quality, it is a bit far from the center about 20 minutes walk and the attention at the reception is quite questionable, the attitude of the blonde girl at the reception leaves much to be desired.

Excellent hotel, where we were warmly welcomed. Very peaceful, with a pool, sauna, and Turkish bath, and the added bonus of providing towels for use both in the hotel and outside, on the beaches or in the thermal baths, which can be changed whenever necessary. The breakfast is very varied and emphasizes local produce, cheese, fruit, and yeast cake. Definitely a must-try.

The pool didn't have hot water due to a problem, they knew this but didn't notify us before booking and it was the main reason for choosing the hotel, the sauna was cold, one of the showers didn't work and the Turkish bath only when I was leaving did I realize there was a button to turn it on.

The cleanliness rating of 4 is due to the pipe smell in the bathroom. The rest of the room was impeccably clean. The breakfast is excellent. The hotel is located in an area where there is plenty of free outdoor parking.

Bright, clean, affordable, lovely pool, breakfast is included with the room, parking is available right outside the hotel at about .50/hour. ($20 US overnight) - rough estimate. Parking on the street is SUPER limited and the streets are SUPER tight.

We didn't have breakfast as we had an early start the following day. I highly recommend this hotel for the lovely and welcoming reception staff and the huge rooms! We had a big bedroom, a hall, a bathroom, a large balcony and a separate lounge/diner/kitchen. The hotel was also in a good location to explore Ponta Delgada on foot.

I been to Ponta Delgada Azores few time, first time stayed at Neat Hotel Avenida the location was great and convenient at the centre of downtown! I checked in very late and the reception staff excellent friendly, room is clean, near by have a lot cafe’s and restaurants! I will come back to stay here again, obrigada

Cozy, quiet hotel. Very helpful staff. 10 minutes from the airport by taxi. There is a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, you can warm up after a cool winter walk. Very central with comfortable rooms, and the breakfast was absolutely to die for — especially Grandma’s bread rolls and the wonderful selection of cheeses. Even the restaurant impressed us with good food, friendly service, and very reasonable prices. A truly delightful stay.

This is a refurbished older building that was modern inside with a few touches of the past in the lobby area. It was very convenient for catching tours that met you just at the corner of the street as the streets themselves are too narrow for the vans. The breakfast buffet was terrific with many options. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean and contemporary. Helpful desk staff.

Are stay was excellent. Only thing I would recommend is the pool should be heated as it was very cold.

This was our second visit to Hotel Gaivota Azores and we would come back again gladly. The staff are very warm and friendly, there is a parking pass available to rent, there is free breakfast, they offer a birthday cake delivered to room to celebrate a bday, and the view is amazing. We love it there! Zero complaints!

We had a junior suite which had a large balcony and a fantastic panaramic view of the harbour. On arrival we were welcomed and checked in speedily and found our room beautifully presented. Breakfast and eating area very good with lots of choices. Very central to all that happens in P D and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good hotel, comfortable, close to city centre. It rates itself as 4 star but it given that amenities and furnishings were basic, I think it is more like 3 stars. Also, bathroom had a musty odor - I think it’s because of the high humidity in this region and if they put a small dehumidifier in each room that would solve the problem.

Super nice and friendly staff! Had an issue with my flight so my stay was shorter than booked. The lady at the desk told me to contact Booking so I would be refunded for the day I did not stay. Room was clean, bed is too soft (personal opinion and common complain from me) and the window seem to not close properly, so some noise from the street could be heard.

This small hotel (30 rooms) in the centre of Ponta Delgada (Azores) has his own garage for free and free WiFi. Everything is nearby this hotel, (also the harbour and restaurants). The rooms are very quiet, and the bathroom is clean. Really friendly people are helping you at the reception and the continental breakfast was good - besides that there is a good supermarket in the same street.

Staff/ Service: The staff at the reception was always kind and helpful, though it has to be mentioned that some staff are more 'useful' than others when asking for advice. The whole experience was a pleasure, 12 days of heaven. From the friendly staff to the cleanliness of the Hotel and the quality of the food at Palm Terrace we got the full service.. treated like royalty and definitely going to come back during the summer months. Superb boutique hotel, right in the centre of town. Roof-top gym and infinity pool were excellent, with lovely views over the city and harbour. Our room was clean a d well appointed, with a small balcony. The breakfasts were very good, and the restaurant meals were also very good. Secure parking available for 6 Euros a day. We loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious with balconies, well equipped and very quiet. The beds were comfortable and the shower very efficient. Breakfast had a good choice and was well stocked. Location wise it was a little further to walk than some hotels but that wasn't a problem for us.

Well-located hotel with free parking. In-room tea kettle and refrigerator are available. There's a balcony with a table and chairs. Decent bathroom with soap and lotion. No frills, but a great full breakfast and friendly staff. Towels are provided so you can take them outside so you don't have to use the ones in the shower.

The management is a bit chaotic. Remember to keep receipts for any fees you pay to prevent employees from charging you twice.

Location was great. Staff was great. Our room was facing the hotel restaurant, could not open the window otherwise smell of food along with the the flies and the noise would come in. The room was not cleaned properly. I think they forgot to vacuum the floors or they used a mop very quickly. It felt gross to me. Bed was not the best either. Price was reasonable.

The room was tiny, most of it occupied by a king bed. The ceiling in the washroom was wet and dripping. On the positive side, the room was clean and the breakfast was very good! The hotel is very close to the City Gates square and the harbor. AFAIK, there's no parking available at the hotel. All in all, a good short stay at a reasonable cost in Ponta Delgada's downtown.

We were there during the Christmas holiday, and there were only a few other guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very welcoming. We had family in two different buildings and the rooms were perfect. Everyone enjoyed gathering for breakfast. It's a lovely, quite private property, yet close to town.

We stayd over a week here and really dont see a point been in any other hotel if you want to be in good location, Hotel is near airport so short trip (bolt costs 5-8euros depending on the time and how busy), easy walk to the Ponta Delgata capital. I was able to book a low rate room during the holidays and I was very happy with my experience. Breakfast was great (included), staff was friendly, comfortable bed, and my room was very clean. I’m glad I asked for a room away from the elevator so it was quiet. My only complaint is that the jacuzzi was not very hot. It's nice to park the rental car and walk the city of Ponta Delgada. Good restaurants within three blocks, easy access to and from the airport, and very clean, spacious rooms. Breakfasts were good (Nespresso self serve coffees create long lines) and plentiful. The also have a well trained restaurant staff for dealing with a lot of people between 7 and 10 am.

The location is close to the airport, but the bus from the airport to all Ponta Delgada hotels is a flat price. The breakfast is relatively simple. We ate it for four consecutive days and it was a bit greasy. The indoor facilities and environment are normal four-star hotels.
