Where to stay in Lagos

In the Old Town of Lagos, this hostel blends peace and convenience, located just a 10-minute walk from the beach and within easy reach of restaurants and bars. Was quite disappointed. Price low and good reviews so i booked but would not return. Rooms do not lock. Other travellers not considerate of others and no staff around at night to notice and deal with issues. (i.e. smoking in shared bathroom, drunk male returning middle of night, etc) Lounge area consists of a couch (sofa) in the kitchen area. Very near to tourist areas so location good.

It was a great place after two nights, so I extended my stay by two more nights. I asked the reception if I could stay in the same room, and they happily agreed. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable stay. There are also plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making it a convenient location.

This was a real find for us vegans. Such a different and calm vibe. Beautiful pool, moorish decor and amazing breakfast. We normally have to ignore the breakfast but here they supplied soya yoghurt - just ask for it- loads of fruit, oats, nuts, gorgeous bread, fresh orange juice and great coffee and a variety of teas. Gorgeous place. Full of style and character. Tucked under the old city walls so perfect place to explore from. Everything about it was just right for us. Maria couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Would very definitely recommend staying here …..a special experience.

Okay option for budget travelling. We had a 3-bedroom room. Clean, fresh and calm. Building is old in the good sense and cosy. Could remove some clutter, like old unused TV - it doesn't add value. Staff was really considerate and thoughtful.

We did not actually stay at this hostel but we met the staff working there and had a long chat. Prices are exceptionally reasonable and looked very comfortable. Staff was very knowledgeable and reassuring. If you are on a budget, we would recommend this hostel.

At the first side it might seems not the perfect accomodation place. The building is a bit old but all the imperfections disappear in front of the warm and kind welcoming of the host. He just not only changed our rooms last minute but gave us a map of the city, many advices and lot of kindness. Something that cannot be taught or è changed by anything and which really enrich the mind of a traveller...

I stayed 2 nights with a friend and we enjoyed our stay. We were scared by the negative reviews, but they must have made some changes since then because everything was great. We stayed in a private room, which was cheaper than getting 2 beds in other hostels. The room and bathroom was clean, the bed was comfortable and we also got towels. Shower was great, there's hot water and good water pressure...

I really loved this place. The owners were really nice and helpful and friendly. The people there were great. I met some really good people here. I ended up returning for a further 2 nights. The guy with the long grey hair called Dave who helps out there is cool. I would deffinately stay here again. Really good fair prices.

My only hesitation in writing this review is that the next time I look to stay here it may be booked! Incredible property, clean rooms, and great staff. Breakfast was very nice and the experience was once in a lifetime! Steps from the beach but elevated so there is privacy.

Unbelievable service,cleanliness, staff and food. We cannot say enough great things about Natalie and staff.
