A large outdoor pool, another (adults only) pool on the first floor, an indoor pool, spa area, more than enough comfortable sun-beds (fortunately no early-morning towel race !), tennis court, fitness room, terraces with a sea view and a little shop
I previously visited this hotel when TUI Blue relaunched it quite some years ago so I knew it was spacious with good sized rooms and grounds. However, PortoBay have refurbished it and raised it to a new level
The large grounds are immaculately maintained and PortoBay have added a board walk to their adjacent hotel, the Falesia. I was surprised that we could use the Falesia bars and charge to our room at the Blue Ocean
Enjoy a cocktail or other drink at the Lounge Bar, with a daily happy hour (50% discounts). The Lima Bar at the pool offers nice snacks and drinks service
On arrival, we sensed our stay would be enjoyable when a porter met our TUI transfer coach and collected our luggage to take to our room
The hotel is well staffed and all were very friendly and efficient including a drinks service around the large pool area

Beautiful resort, pool was amazing. We did the breakfast buffet and it had a ton of options and they catered to my celiac. The beach is a little walk away and is gorgeous.
Would definitely stay there again.
Vast swimming pools with plenty of sun loungers. Children’s pool and play area are good. Family rooms large and led straight on to the gardens. Gluten free dietary needs well catered for
A ripped towel was left behind the curtain presumably from the previous occupant. This should have been removed. The folder in the room states that we could request a nespresso machine
The hotel is in a lovely position close to the beach and the boardwalks offer a beautiful walk into Lagos for those with good mobility. We had a superior room with a sea room and cannot fault the room itself
We go to buy an iced coffee and are then told that we can’t put on the room. We ask at reception again and appears that payment has exceeded as rooms not yet paid for. We said we would have paid on arrival
When we asked at reception they said they would find out. Nothing appeared and we return to the desk to ask again. They then offer us a kettle which again doesn’t appear and we have to return to the desk

The pool is nice but I wouldn't recommend ordering food by the pool, overpriced for what you receive - the drinks were fine though. Otherwise the stay was good and no issues!
We had a lovely time at the NH Tivoli Lagos. The staff was super nice and welcoming, and the hotel offers some great amenities like a nice pool area and a relaxing sauna
The indoor swimming pool and gym were small but were available if you wanted them and never busy when I was there
I sat round the outside pool which was pleasant but as it was early March I didn't attempt a swim!! Breakfast was very good
The Highlights:
• Breakfast Buffet: Absolutely spectacular! One of the best parts of the stay. It's just a few minutes' walk into the Old Town, and a very quick Uber ride to some of the best beaches in the area
As I was travelling alone I chose a large hotel with amenities. The hotel was very large and my room was a 5 minute walk away from reception. The room was small but for just me, was perfect
Lagos, Estrada Da Meia Praia (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Needs a better gym, the poolside staff could be more helpful.
The place is an amazing with ocean views, an amazing 1 hour walk to downtown Lagos, we would consider staying here again.
Finally, the entertainment and activities were fantastic and are great for kids and adults. Live Djs and singing ballads at the pool, headphone disco, magic shows, Fado and an amazing Algarvian folk dancing and singing
We recommend this place if you want a spot that is walking distance to the marina and town (10 mins) but has the nice pool to cool off after a day of touring. Very good breakfast buffet too
Other than the pool, there’s really not much else to do here. We ate at the main restaurant, it is buffet style and everything was delicious. Other than that - typical watered down drinks at the poolside bar
The pools are beautiful, the buffet is fantastic with lots of options and themes, good quality meat and fish, yummy desserts, local choices and most of all the food was fresh and flavourful
We had a lovely view on the 5th floor and could see the sunset from our terrace. Very nice hotel, and the service is really good. The lady who works at the pool bar is a great bartender

Fantastic resort with multiple pools with 5 minutes walk to the beach. Our two bedroom apartment was clean and modern. There is ample parking and we felt very safe as two women walking late at night time
Close to a beautiful beach, has a good restaurant and lovely pools and spa area. Would stay here again.
A challenge to park, but true everywhere in Portugal. Outside pool very cold, but indoor pool very warm.
Spacious three bedroom apartment was perfect for our three day stay in Lagos. Very clean and well-appointed.
Resort property isn’t beachfront per se but you can’t complain when it’s less than a 5 minute walk.
Jaoa on check in and Anita Santos, Guest Service are great Ambassadors for there employers. Accommodation, Spa, Restaurant, bar ( thank you Mario) all delivered more than expected
The white lady and black gentleman at the front desk were incredibly welcoming. No deposit was required, and check-in and check-out were quick
This is the largest hotel I've stayed in in Portugal. The hotel facilities are complete and comfortable, and the service is warm and welcoming. Parking is convenient and free, making it ideal for travelers with cars
Very beautiful resort, right by the Atlantic Ocean with direct access to coastal boardwalk. One bedroom apartment was very spacious and well equipped. There were total of 3 pools including spa pool
The boardwalk to the cape is right next to the hotel entrance, which is very convenient. The hotel's dining is particularly excellent. It's a hotel with great value for money and highly recommended
A very large hotel with great views, very close to the beach. Affordable price, large room, washing machine, kitchen, microwave and other daily necessities. It was a very good experience.

Great property with amazing sea views: just walk less than a yard walk to a great beach. Safe and quiet, friendly staff, cared pool area, and a very clean studio made us wanting to stay longer.
This property is stunning ! Pool
Was amazing , room comfortable and food was great. Will be back !
Glorious sea view on top of the cliffs, beach a couple of minutes walk (with 2 excellent fish restaurants, reasonably priced), and yet only 2 miles from the town (only €4 for Uber)
A beautiful setting with ocean views. The staff is professional and friendly. The food is good. It would be nice to have breakfast and dinner options other than the buffet.
Lovely hotel, close to the beach. Well-groomed area. The room is a little dated, but clean. The kitchen has all the utensils for cooking. I recommend this hotel.
The staff at this stay was amazing! We had such a good time. Very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice dept for a family of 5, well equipped and really well located about 15 minutes from downtown and nice beaches. Totally recommend for families with kids
Nice large apartments with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, nice kitchen… should have stayed here longer instead of leaving for Albufeira…
Best pool I've ever booked for a holiday. I was able to swim laps every day. Great range of sun loungers and tennis court. The room had a massive balcony but the beds were very hard. The bedroom was a little musty
The complex is about a 15 minute walk from town which is easy on the way in but can be a struggle to get back up the mammoth hill after dinner and a couple of beers! The grounds are tidy and well kept but can be a bit tricky to navigate with a buggy / stroller
The apartment was clean & comfortable however the hobs are a pain every time you clean them if you are not very careful you turn some of them on. We were fortunate enough to miss the school kids
I can imagine it could be pretty noisy then as there is almost no soundproofing. If you don't have a car expect a Taxi to cost between 4. 55 & 6 euros depending on the taxi company

There is a parking lot right beside the hotel which is also very reasonably priced, 5 euros/day. There is also a rooftop pool, which is great, if you just feel like taking a bit of time to relax and unwind
There is a rooftop on the pool with two tanning decks (one on each side of the roof) and a bar in the lobby
Marina rio is in a great location in Lagos across from the marina. It is quiet and well maintained. The hotel is across from marina where you are only 10 minutes walk to the old district
Marina Rio is in a great location right by the marina and a short walk to “old town Lagos”. Everything you need is within walking distance or a short uber ride
Nice rooms, clean, amazing location, but the faucets in washroom aren’t good low water pressure and the pool was closed.
But I’d definitely come back to the hotel.
It was in a great central location, with modern beach vibes. The only issue was the pool was under maintenance

We really enjoyed that the hotel wasn't too big and the breakfast area was very spacious, so that it didn't feel crowded. The pool area was great, usually quiet and with enough nice relaxing chairs
Clean room with an ocean view, very helpful staff, tasty breakfast and even a complimentary drink!
Also, just a short walk to the beach and two very good restaurants by the ocean. Bring camera!
Highly recommend. Very nice staff and amazing breakfast. The rooms are new and the rooftop patio has a great view of ocean. Easy walk to beach and great restaurants
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with a lot of options and fresh. The pool was beautiful, it wasn’t heated but during the summer it would be amazing
Lots of great amenities including a gym, swimming pool, and pool table! Rooms are fantastic and have plenty of space. They also provide a free breakfast buffet that had enormous variety and was exquisite
What a gem this hotel was and what an incredible find! If you have the pleasure of staying here, you won’t regret it. Staff are extremely kind and service was exceptional

There are several small pools throughout the area which look great (even though we couldn’t use them due to the season). The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive
It was three small swimming pools, although one is a private pool for room #12. Plenty of plants on the property to give it a warm feel. I would stay again if I end up in Lagos again
Lovely boutique hotel. Breakfast is excellent and staff lovely. Only thing to be aware of is that parking is on street, which wasn't a problem at this time of year but may be an issue in busier months
Excellent, very charming. With several pools . One directly in front of our room, so nice. And the guests here are also very nice...on top an excellent breakfast. Thank you very much for this great stay.
10/10 would recommend to anyone thinking of staying very friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds with spacious rooms. Very easy to get to the main areas beaches centre of town and in a nice quiet spot
We stayed at this hotel as a couple in February during the off-season and really loved it. The property is beautifully designed with lots of care and charm

Perfect location! Right on the beach and 20 minute walk into the city. Very clean. Nice pool. Delicious restaurant with breakfast included.
Great hotel! Good value for money.
Notes:
Breakfast could have more options.
More umbrellas by the pool.
All in all - great stay!
I was very well received, Reception always great and willing to help. Breakfast is wonderful! Out of sight. The girls who work there are super helpful and friendly. Great cleanliness, perfect location
Hotel at good location right in front of famous beach and trail. Hotel room is good but partial seaview needs ypur effort to go out of balcony and see. Good breakfast and view from restaurant.
The location was excellent near the beach but the room was very bad a family room one of the wall sides of the room was not straight and very narrow the ceiling and the wall was leaked as if it was raining on the beds and the wall was very wet
There are many choices for breakfast. The hotel is next to the beach and close to various attractions. It is very convenient to go to and from the bus station. It is also easy to get a taxi

The staff are all lovely (apart from the girl who works in the bar who was very miserable ) the pool area is lovely and peaceful and we never had problems getting a sun bed
Kitchen has everything you need. Pool was never overly busy and always had spare sun loungers
Perfect apartments for family holidays. Very few beer, football and noise types. Aimed as a family destination, walking distance to Meia Praia beach, 2km. Ample space, on site tennis and pools and a restaurant.
This is our fourth time returning to Jardim da Meia Praia. We love it and could not recommend highly enough.
Quiet, safe, spotlessly clean and well maintained.
We plan to return again.
We went into town a few times and this only cost €4 in an Uber. If you want a nice peaceful break this is definitely the place for you
We stayed in a lovely 3 bedroom townhouse in August , the rooms wereso clean and had everything we needed for our short break
👍 They have a large swimming pool and a bar next to it, and they have a big screen TV - if you are into sports (this week is eu-fotball)

A very decent hotel in the city center near the marina. I recommend the pool and a room with a sea view.
As it is unheated the outdoor pool was freezing in Spring temps of up to 18 degrees. We hoped to use the indoor pool which although tiny, had a cost of €10 per person
We didn't use either as we are family of 5 and the restaurant was expensive compared to local eateries! Our biggest issue was with the pool
Our stay here was short notice and that was no problem with them. the place was beautifully presented clean. everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable was avaliable to us

Great place to stay in Lagos! The area was super convenient, a short walk into Old Town and directly in the marina and on the river. The breakfast was super delicious. The french toast was the best I ever tasted
The room was nice and spacious. The only negative is the room wasn’t cleaned well. There was still sand in the shower after cleaning and crumbs on the floor. Other than that it was a super pleasant stay
We loved our stay! Had to get a new room at first due to a smoke/must smell and that took quite some time but after that it was great. Delicious hot items to order plus sparkling wine! Loved the pool and rooftop bar
A special highlight was the live saxophone music on Wednesday evening by the rooftop pool, which created a wonderful atmosphere. Everything about our stay was perfect
Loved this hotel! Right across from marina for all your boat or kayak needs, short walk to beaches and to the old town area. A market and cafe are right behind the hotel but anything you’d need is very walkable
The room was spotless comfortable, and very well maintained with Marina View ! The breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options , one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had

Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms and beautiful ocean view. The only negative is the pool is freezing. They should heat the pool.
Private and first class
This was an amazing property with gorge on views, beautiful facilities and great service. The room was huge and had a large terrace overlooking the ocean
Incredible customer service, Anabella was extremely helpful in suggesting activities around the area. The views from the property are amazing. Top notch hotel.
However the bathroom has obviously been used for a disabled person previously and although very clean was in need to some TLC
On the way to the property there is a lot of development ongoing, but once inside this was not obtrusive
The hotel food and beverage was solid, room service prompt and friendly, and the breakfast had many choices. We would definitely visit again!

There's a relaxing Jacuzzi or a small pool to swim in which was appreciated. We certainly enjoyed our two nights here in Lagos
Beautiful location close to all amenities Atmosphere so good and relaxing really caring thoughtful staff Rooms absolutely clean Great value I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough 5 and more Thankyou for a wonderful stay
Praia de mos 10 min walk away but you have to be there early to get sunbeds. Do you have a car I would recommend Meia Praia
A bit far from the town, but that's why I can rest quietly. The air conditioner wasn't working but staff brought us a big fan :) Thank you for your kindness.
A quiet area but you can easily walk in 20 min to centre of Lagos. 5 min with taxi back Great morning walks nearby. Ponta de piadade 1,5 km away
The breakfast was nice and suited most diets (Cereals, toast, cakes, ham and cheese, bacon eggs and beans). The pool area was clean and well maintained but the pool was too cold to use during our stay in early April

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Mar Azul. The room was extremely clean, spacious, and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the compact kitchen, which made it convenient to prepare light meals
The flats are very nice and clean. Not very sound proof though but we were lucky with our neighbours :) The pool is wonderful! Cleaning staff are amazing. Beach 5 min away (not trolley friendly road)
The location is excellent, just a short distance from both the historic center of Lagos and the beach. For those renting a car to explore the Algarve, the hotel’s parking facilities are a huge plus
The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help, which really added to the experience. The room also had a private outdoor area — a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning
We had the most amazing stay here! The apartment was perfect and had everything we needed. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Very close to a beautiful beach!
There is honestly nothing negative to mention. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lagos

First, it costs 4-5 euros to ride a bolt from the terminal
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old town
The room is small, but it has a terrace
It was nice to drink wine on the terrace with a view of the pool
The rooms are basically independent on the first or second floor. The rooms have balconies and there are two swimming pools nearby. We encountered some minor problems after checking in
Great hotel! Recommended! ! The lady at the front desk will give you a map to tell you how to get to famous attractions. The sangria in the restaurant is delicious, and the breakfast is also good
The cleaning lady was very enthusiastic and friendly and helped us solve the problem quickly. It's a pity that I only stayed for one night, it's definitely worth a vacation here
However, the room felt rather damp, and the hot water wasn't hot enough at night, so you need to shower early, otherwise you'll only get lukewarm water
And the food! Dinner was so delicious every day! There is a set menu with appetizer and two mains to choose from; all of it is excellent! Parabéns to the chef. About the staff: they are incredibly kind and knowledgeable
Staff were very attentive and helpful, breakfasts were great with a big range of options (including vegan which was a big reason for us picking the hotel)
The chef prepares dishes that are beautifully prepared, creative and delicious. The hotel has it all - a stunning location, fabulous staff, sophisticated and contemporary rooms or suites, and wonderful dining choices
The bathroom with its modern amenities was spacious and had a wonderful rain shower. Our suite provided the perfect respite after a day of sightseeing. Another reason to stay at this hotel is its restaurant
The room itself was lovely with a stunning sea view and veranda - location wise we were about a 25 minute walk away from Old Town which was perfect for us as the hotel felt very peaceful and tucked away
We loved staying in this stylish hotel surrounded by the stunningly beautiful views. Our suite was modern and sophisticated with dark wood ascents that help create a relaxing environment
We enjoyed the fabulous views from the restaurant as well as the fabulous menu. The friendly and professional staff contributed to making our dining memorable
