Reviews
Had a wonderful stay at the Kempinski Pearl from the moment we entered. We were travelling will 2 little kids and this was the best location and hotel in terms of facilities and amenities. Loved the Breakfast, Room and View, Pool, Beach, Gym and Spa.
Nour at the Check in Desk was super helpful and gave us a lovely room and also assisted in a late check out as well since we had a night flight. 5 stars for her, for being so polite and nice.
Caroline from the breakfast reception was again so wonderful and welcoming. She also arranged a cake for my daughter's 1st birthday and made it so special.
A big thanks to the valet and entrance staff as well as they were so courteous and helpful each time we got our rental car and luggage.
Overall a fabulous stay in every way and a truly 5 star experience! The best hotel on Doha for families with little kids. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again!
I booked 8 nights over New Year’s Eve for my girlfriend and myself and paid over €4,500 for the stay. We expected a luxury experience worthy of the Kempinski brand. Instead, we checked out after the first night. It turned out to be the most expensive single night of my life.
The lobby feels more like a shopping mall than a luxury hotel, and the pictures on the website create an impression that simply does not match reality.
The hotel itself feels outdated. Our room had a dirty carpet, damaged bathroom seals, and the shower drain smelled strongly and was partially clogged. Completely unacceptable for a hotel in this price category. We also received one of the worst rooms possible, facing the street.
The restaurants around the hotel island (where you are transported by golf cart) were equally disappointing. The food quality was shockingly poor. Some dishes were sent back or left untouched because they were simply not edible, while prices remained extremely high.
Breakfast was another major disappointment. The noise level was unbelievable, more like a crowded shopping mall café than a 5-star hotel breakfast. Service was slow and disorganized, and when I asked three times for a coffee cup so I could pour coffee myself, I was given dirty cups each time.
There were also large numbers of poorly behaved children everywhere, inflatable play areas on the beach, and even people dressed as Disney characters entertaining kids. This made what was supposed to be a romantic couple’s vacation completely unpleasant.
For New Year’s Eve, we had already paid for the gala dinner, but it was extremely cold and windy outside, making it impossible to enjoy the event. Despite this, the hotel still kept the setup outdoors.
When I complained to management, they wanted to offer something (actually they did not offer something soecific, they were just talking) to convince me to stay. However, I had already booked a flight to Bangkok because I simply wanted to leave. Despite paying €4,500 for eight nights and leaving after one, there was no refund or compensation possible.
I know the Kempinski Hotel Vienna very well and have stayed there many times, which is why I expected a similar standard. Unfortunately, the Kempinski in Doha did not come close to that level in any way.
The overall impression: a shopping mall with hotel rooms attached rather than a luxury resort.
If someone believes this hotel deserves its 5-star rating, they probably have never stayed in a real 5-star hotel before.
Extremely high prices for extremely disappointing quality.
A crib and toiletries were provided in the room. In the morning at breakfast, we received a very warm welcome from all the staff, including restaurant manager Aly, who took complete care of the baby, and Chef Falal, who prepared the most delicious dishes for us.
We also received a fantastic welcome and excellent service at the pool and the beach. The lifeguards and staff go above and beyond to ensure everything is to your liking.
The rooms are spotless and are cleaned and tidied twice a day.
All of this is in a beautiful hotel that more than deserves its 5 stars, conveniently and quietly located on the Pearl. You can easily explore several lovely locations on foot.
Assorted Buffet breakfast
The entire staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the breakfast buffet is extensive with a wide variety of options.
A special mention goes to Safaa, who made our stay especially pleasant and always looked after us for our well being with great care. We would also like to thank Elisabeth from the security team, who greeted us so warmly every day and always brought a smile to our faces.
The hotel is very child-friendly, we felt completely comfortable as a family, and we would definitely return.
Greetings Dzenisa
The location is ideal, offering both exclusivity and convenience. The room was exceptionally spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed with refined details that reflect true luxury and comfort. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided to ensure a flawless stay.
The staff were remarkably professional, courteous, and attentive, always anticipating needs and providing service with genuine warmth and precision. Their dedication to excellence elevates the entire experience to the highest standard.
The facilities are world-class, perfectly maintained, and designed to offer both relaxation and sophistication. From dining to leisure areas, every space reflects quality, elegance, and attention to detail.
Overall, this hotel represents luxury at its finest — a perfect balance of comfort, service, and refined atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional stay, and I will undoubtedly choose this hotel again in the future.
First, we returned to our room after several hours only to find the door was never properly locked. The latch was lifted, meaning anyone could have walked in. This is a serious security failure that no hotel should overlook.
Second, my wife previously contacted the hotel to ask about a private ladies’ pool and was clearly told there wasn’t one. Upon arrival, we discovered that this information was completely incorrect. This reflects poor communication and unprofessional management.
These are not small mistakes — they show a severe lack of accuracy, training, and responsibility. It is unfortunate that a hotel under the Kempinski name operates with such weak management.
