If you are planning to spend your vacation in Gorny Altai, but do not want to go far, this is a great place! Distance from Barnaul - 265 kilometers.
Nearby is the Devil's Finger Mountain, not far from the village of Aya with numerous leisure options, the Turquoise Katun complex (a special economic zone in the form of a large recreation center with an artificial lake), Tavdinskie Caves and Siberian Las Vegas (Altai Palace casino) ).
The base is located on the left bank of the Katun River. There are both inexpensive houses without a shower (it is common on the street), and more expensive ones with a shower and a TV in the room. Breakfast is attached to the second option.

We rested in September 2020. Stayed in the main building - the rooms were on the 2nd floor. The room has a kettle, refrigerator, TV, towels, wardrobe. It was very cold at night, but the administrator kindly offered a heat gun for 200 rubles per day.
Rooms are comfortable, clean (as far as possible in the realities of Altai). A huge minus is that it is quite difficult to wash - due to problems with the boiler room, boiling water is pouring out of the shower (in autumn it did not bother much, because it was possible to warm up, but washing your head is very problematic).
Noise isolation is so-so, but it should be borne in mind that, in principle, good audibility in wooden houses.
The breakfast was delicious (different cereals every day with milk, something for tea). The services of the complex claim the ability to order lunch and dinner, but we were kindly refused these services, referring to one thing or the other. As a result, we managed to have dinner with a fight only twice (this would not have been a problem in the tourist season, but in September, within a radius of almost 5 km, nothing worked). This should be taken into account and taken care of in advance.
The main building is under the cameras, so it's safe enough there, which is not to say about the houses on the territory.
The territory of the complex is cozy, there are gazebos, a playground (not new), parking, a bathhouse, access to the Katun. You can calmly walk along the river bank to the new bridge over the Katun and on the territory of neighboring recreation centers.
The staff is very friendly, but the playfulness and not sincerity is noticeable.
In general, the location is good, the territory is well-groomed and well-maintained.
