Helen Hotel in St. Petersburg

+ We were there from 1 January until 8 January, and honestly, the hotel was lovely. When we arrived, the hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays. There were festive lights from the bottom to the top of the building, and the entrance was also decorated. At the end of the entrance stairs, there were two Nutcrackers on both sides, plus really nice touches like Santa decorations and trees. It felt warm and welcoming right away. The location was a big plus for us. The entrance is situated between a couple of shops. To the right, there’s an Asian restaurant, and to the left, there’s a store. If you go around the corner, you can see the fountain next to Palace Square. So the hotel is within walking distance of Palace Square, which we really liked. It gave us a great opportunity to wake up and walk to attractions instead of having to plan transportation every time. It wasn’t far from the metro, which we used throughout the stay. Along the roads leading to the hotel, there are many restaurants and souvenir shops that we ended up visiting more than once. The location was absolutely a boon. What really stood out to us, though, was the hospitality. As foreigners who speak very little Russian, we felt genuinely welcomed. The receptionists were helpful from day one. Throughout our stay, they answered my many questions and gave us great suggestions. Our package included breakfast, and it honestly changed my mind about hotel breakfasts. Normally, we skip it and just go out and decide where to eat, but this time, the convenience and quality were worth it. Every morning, we went down to the restaurant (Tillander), and it was bustling with visitors. The staff were welcoming and punctual, the atmosphere felt warm and festive, and I was honestly surprised by the breadth of food variety. The room was also great. Everything felt neat, and housekeeping was consistent. Nothing to complain about, really. I was surprised by the overall level of hospitality and comfort.

+ The rooms are new and decorated in a modern Style. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The Hotel is located in the proximity of all touristic attractions. Finally the staff was very helpful.
- The standard room is a little bit small but it has enough space for 2 guests. Sound isolation was not perfect but we were lucky to have silent neighbours

+ Everything was great only one of the staff stopped us to enter the restaurant because of no reason
- One of the staff during Thé breakfast asked my wife to remove the trench coat to enter the restaurant and daily we are entering without any issue this is really too bad

+ Exceptional service. Spacious and clean room with super comfy bed. Breakfast was good too.

+ It was such an amazing experience at Helen hotel. They treated us well and helped with everything we asked for. The staff were so professional and friendly. The breakfast had good variety options but it was repeated almost every day. The location was also great as we can access nevsky street really closeby and many other attractions such as tour bus and museums. The room is very clean and the best part was that the bathroom has a bidet!
- There is stairs right at the entrance with no lift so not accessibility friendly. (The staff helped us though)The room view was not nice unfortunately. No halal option in breakfast. Hallway noise isolation did not exist and we heard steps all night but it wasnt terrible.

+ Located right in the heart of the city, close to significant landmarks. A lot of dining options in close proximity. The room was very spacious and had everything one might need. The bed was super comfy. I particularly loved big beautiful windows overlooking the quiet yard with a Christmas tree in it. So cozy and peaceful. There were nice toiletries in the bathroom. The mini bar had a lot of drink and snack options. The breakfast was nice, but could use just a little more variety. The staff, particularly Etery and Andrey, the bell boy,(I hope I got the name right) were extremely helpful and friendly. I was allowed to check in 2 hours prior to the check-in time. All in all, a great stay. The hotel is lovely, I highly recommend it if you are traveling to Saint Petersburg.
