- We dislike to use kitchen only at night. I hope use all day.

I’ve never been to Saint Petersburg before so when I was booking hotels here I thought I’d tried two different ones, see what they’re like.
The first one I stayed in was hotel/hostel diplomat. When I first arrived, I had a little anxiety, because there’s no sign, and you walk into a dingy hallway and up to a very old, very small elevator. Get in the elevator and you must push buttons 7 and 9 at the same time to get to the front desk. The receptionist does not speak a word of English, but is veryhelpful and very nice, and there all the time.
The rooms are clean, can open the window, mine was on the fourth floor, so above much of the street noise.
It’s an inexpensive hotel/hostel, clean and bright with washing machines, kitchenettes, everything you need.
It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price and what you get it’s a good deal. And for a hostel/hotel, it deserves five stars. And once I moved to the other hotel, I so regreted that I didn’t spend all my time here. I would’ve come back to it in a heartbeat. (It was booked.) Looking for someplace inexpensive? Stay here.

Very nice hotel. Good and helpful staff. 20 minutes walk to Moskovski voksal (train station), or 2 minutes walk to local bus station.

Good breakfast and service

Nice quiet and clean place. Only 1.3km of main street in St.Petersburg. TV in room, good toilet, exellent. Everything is perfect except breakfast. It's awful!
