Hotel Pereslavl in Pereslavl-Zalessky

Oh, we have a mixed impression of this hotel. Wonderful Elena at the reception. We took into account all our requests and delivered 2 blankets and an extra pillow to the room. Large room size, wonderful wide bed, good bathroom. Nice size of the living room. Bathrobes in the closet. There is a water cooler on the floor. There is a kettle in the room. But ... there are no cups and spoons, well we brought with us, the towels are "worth the powder", so I wiped my face and had to drink an antigestamine, because I am allergic to that amount of powder. Probably a covid. And most importantly, we arrived at 18:00. Wanted to eat in the restaurant cafe. We were told: "we only have soup and salad, we are waiting for a group of guests." Obviously, we are not guests of this hotel. I want to praise for a lot. But everything was spoiled by this moment. We come to see the city and the sights, not to run in search of food. In the end, the same wonderful girl from the reception found us a place to eat, 15 minutes from the hotel. And there are queues at the tables. It turns out that finding a place to eat deliciously in Pereslavl is a difficult question!

Pereslavl, an old Russian city, where Alexander Nevsky was born, baptized in the Transfiguration Cathedral, which was built at the behest of the city's founder, Yuri Dolgoruky. Nowadays, there is a huge bust of Alexander Nevsky on a pedestal on the square in front of the church.
Despite the small size and number of Pereslavl (about 36.0 thousand people), there are more than 15 Orthodox monasteries and churches, many are being restored, for example, on the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo, the Church of the Forty Martyrs (Sorokosvyatskaya). A beautiful architectural structure, it is white against a bright red background. The church is active, services and other Orthodox events are held.
The hotel where we stayed is located in the city center, called Pereslavl. Not bad, but you need to take their slippers anywhere (even in the suites), no, apart from that there are no refrigerators in standard rooms, it's sad to realize, but this is the reality.
About the city itself:
There is a lot of greenery, trees are shrubs, in a minimum amount of flower beds.
Comparative livability is noted in a very small square in the very center - the rest of the streets and squares are simply in a terrible state, there are no pedestrian paths forced to move along the carriageway of highways (while the flow of tourists is very large), the grass along the city roads has not been mowed for centuries , (there is a photo) in the yards one can see desolation and lack of garbage collection. In a word, the city administration under the leadership of the Head does not carry out its work in full, and for residents and visitors there is no need for a comfortable stay and accommodation. It is sad to see and realize that the glorified Pereslavl is included in the excursion program of the Golden Ring, with the historical attractions of which not only our compatriots, but also citizens of other countries want to get acquainted😰😰😰
As a tip for the city administration, take basic measures like in many (similar) cities on this route.
