Guest House Velania in Pristina

The owner (the professor) is very friendly but the guesthouse is not very clean..my room smelled and the towels were not so clean so I couldn't use them

Worst hostel ever!
I’ve been traveling to many places, but have never seen such a despicable and run down place: smelly, dirty, insecure (doors can’t be properly locked or don’t close, so I pretty much slept on the corridor with open door directly to my backpack) and - politely speaking - unfriendly staff.

Very disappointed to experience that in Kosovo and it’s not even justified by the low price. You can find a clean and safe place in the city center for less money! I had a booking for three night but got sick after one night and left for a much better place in downtown. Good decision, better would be to never have been there!

Interesting how many 5 star ratings with similar text... keeps the rating up, but please read the text of all ratings about this “house of horror”!

My recommendation: Stay away if you want to be safe&healthy!!!

The place is the house of horrors. I’ve been to many hostels, and this is by far the most disgusting building I’ve ever entered in my life. First, we arrived to our room to discover brown and black spots all over the pillows and sheets. Our “two beds” was one bed and one sofa. We knew after 1 minute in the building that we needed to leave. We decided we would sleep there and leave the next day. Then in the corner where they have plants we heard scratching. There was a bat in there. We freaked out and got a new room. What a terrible mistake. It was also filthy with black spots on the pillows. It smelled rotting. We were frantically trying to find a new hostel when I saw a random tile in the corner... I lifted it up to discover BLACK MOLD. It was huge. I have lots of photos of it. Black mold is extremely toxic and can cause many health problems. My brothers ears were turning purple and we felt ill. There was more mold in the bathroom from the leaking roof. I was terrified to touch anything in the room. We left at 2am and were refused any refund. The boy who checked us in was also extremely racist, saying all the Mexicans/black people in America are criminals. This place is a health hazard. Do not ever stay here. I was going to sleep in the car if we hadn’t left.

Very cheap place for a short stay-double room for 20 eur.,but as the others said:dirty sheets, broken beds, smells in the room and if you are brave and dare to use the kitchen on the floor, you will find dirty dishes and old cups.The bathroom was good.The owner doesn't speak English-only Serbian or Albanian and she is very rude- opens the doors of rooms, goes inside without a reason for asking stupid questions. Don't believe on these photos published!

NEVER AGAIN. Want to find hair below your bed sheets? So this is the right place for you. Ugly, with dirty rooms, WIFI that does not work and cold water. In addition, all the blankets of the room smelled to smoke. Finally, the Hostel is located in the middle of nowhere, far from the citycenter and restaurants. I will never go back to this place! You can find much better places with similar prices.

Room was disgusting. Sheets were itchy. Bathroom fixtures didn't work. There was a moldy hole in the floor. The management held my passport hostage until I paid 40 euros more than was required for a single nights stay. The cleaning staff insulted my girlfriend and made her cry. If I could give this place 0/5 stars I would.
