Peacefully quiet
Bled is overwhelmingly busy during the high season and it was delightful to retreat back Lukanc in the countryside to avoid the hordes people. We had amazing views of the mountains from our balcony. Breakfast was simple but fresh. Cooked pancakes or eggs are available on request. Room was on the small side but having the external balcony offset the small room size. The walk into Bled Lake is about 20mins, longer to Bled town which is probably best accessed by car. The hotel sits within a small village which is worth exploring.

Welcome was a bit unfriendly. I had to wait a minute after ringing the bell. A stressed looking lady arrived without a smile and asked if I had a reservation. I was happy with my room, but about 20 minutes after I arrived the lady knocked on my door saying I had been given the wrong room, and that the couple who had reserved my room were waiting downstairs. I was nice and agreed to change rooms. My new room was a closet with a bed. I work in hospitality and understand that mistakes happen. However, where I work we always offer something to please our guests after we mess up. Nothing was offered, barely even an apology. I had written them in advance to let them know I was vegan. I received a reply reading this would not be a problem. When I arrived for breakfast there were no vegan options. The lady (same as the day before) saw me and asked if I would like scrambled eggs. I write lots of reviews. This might be my first 1-star review. They truly deserved it.

Beautiful view from the hotel. A bit off town so you have to all a taxi. Overall nice personnel and clean hotel.

This is a very comfortable, quiet hotel just away from the scenic views of Lake Bled. It's well worth your stay. They provide a lovely breakfast too. On the night that we stayed, there was quite a dramatic thunderstorm that light up the surrounding hills and kept us awake for a while but certainly no fault of the hotel :-) We enjoyed the thunderstorm on our balcony which every room seemed to have.

Nice hotel with serene views!
Very nice stay here if you want to stay away from the city center and noises and distractions. Its a taxi ride of 7 minutes to city center or a long walk there. So you will need a taxi company # handy especially at night. But very easy to access. Lovely stay and very peaceful and serene. Breakfast was good too! :)

Situated in a breathtakingly gorgeous location just 5 minutes drive from Bled, this Hotel Garni exceeds all expectations!! It is family-run, affordable, clean, nicely maintained with air conditioned and spacious rooms, and has a beautiful exterior. It is in a safe, quiet, pastoral village with views of the mountains and hillside from the balcony and breakfast area. The items on offer at breakfast are rich, fresh and plentiful, with some hot crepes and eggs cooked to order. All of the staff at the hotel are kind and professional, and our family has had great experiences here on two different weekend leisure trips to Bled this year. I whole-heartedly recommend Penzion Lukanc if you are planning a trip to this area!!

What we liked: The lady that checked us in (I think her name is Tina) was excellent at everything she did. Not only was she working reception, she also worked in the bar in the evenings and also in the breakfast room ! It's a beautiful and both our rooms had balconies. The air conditioning was effective. The view of the mountains and surrounding areas from the balcony and hotel as a whole is amazing. Free carpark and we always got a space. Excellent standard of daily housekeeping. Other things to note: It would have been very beneficial to have a restaurant on site, as there are no local shops or restaurants in the immediate local area. You have to drive or walk down to Lake Bled. There is no lift in this hotel, and we did struggle with our bags on checkin and checkout.

Excellent experience. This place was beautiful and in a beautiful setting. It was quiet, clean, comfortable rooms, a truly excellent breakfast, helpful staff, close to Lake Bled while being in a quiet, rural location.
