Ohtels Gran Hotel Almería in Almeria

The hotel has a great location, very close to both the old town and the beach. It has its own parking garage, though getting in requires a bit of skill. Cleaning was very prompt. Surprisingly, breakfast included drinks, and the food was very fresh.

Great location and looks great. Modern and clean. Pool area is small, but no issue with beds and the pool was perfect. Breakfast good. Rooms nice, I felt they could have been decorated more and a wall mirror would have been appreciated. That said, a great room with balcony.
We didn't fly until late evening and there was nowhere, other than the hotel WC to change...no shower facility, which wasn't great.
That said, we would stay here again. Had a lovely stay at the hotel and Almeria.

New hotel, spacious room with a fine bathroom. Only a complimentary bottle of water in the room on the first day. No coffee or tea facilities in the room. Lovely balcony. Comfortable bed, super breakfast!

The sea view is of the harbor under construction. Not charming, but it could be worse. The city is a fifteen-minute walk away. Perfectly doable.

Parking is available at the hotel, if they have space, for €18 per day. Surrounding parking garages are more expensive.

Everything was wonderful, friendly service, good and plentiful breakfast.

Happy to be back and the hotel looks wonderful, fresh ,spacious and light after the renovations. My group was very happy with the rooms and the location . Breakfast is a favourite with options for everyone and having an egg station is amazing, also freshly squeezed orange juice !
Lovely to see some familiar faces too , all the staff both front and back off house do a marvellous job ! Thank you to Paula the conferencing Manager for supporting our group ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Would be nice to see some chairs on the balcony but hopefully they are on their way .

Lovely hotel, seems a mix of business and pleasure. Very tastefully decorated and comfortable, well staffed, great choice at breakfast. Small pool, nice for a dip after sightseeing all day. Central to all sights.

A great hotel. Really good value 👏 views across the harbour are wonderful and the pool was fab. Very nice staff too.

The hotel had just been refurbished so few snagging problems which didn't spoil our stay. Very helpful friendly staff. Would have been nice to have seats on the balcony and extra pillows. Breakfast not really worth the extra €14.00, a few nearby cafés were really good.

Was a bit sceptical after reading some reviews but we just finished our holiday after the renovations and it was great! Everything was new and clean. The breakfast was great and really appreciated having items like eggs made fresh. You have standard items like bacon, eggs, beans, but also fruit and pastries. We liked the room and slept well - it was not loud at all. The area was very good, quite close to the beach and also the city centre! The staff were also very kind and patient - the check in and out was super easy and we also booked a taxi via reception which was no issue either.

One improvement could maybe be adding some chairs onto the balcony as we didn’t have anywhere to sit but the view was lovely. Also the seasonal pool’s opening months are incorrectly displayed on Expedia (where we booked) which was a slight disappointment as we couldn’t use it but nothing to do with the quality of hotel! Really recommend and would return :)
