Hotel Sauce in Zaragoza

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Sauce. The room is thoughtfully decorated with a clean, understated European style. The bathroom is spacious, and the shower works wonderfully—it was a very pleasant place to stay.

The hotel is also perfectly located in the heart of the old town, making it easy to walk everywhere.

That said, as the hotel is in an old building, sound insulation between rooms could be improved. While street noise is well blocked, we could clearly hear sounds from the stairwell as well as toilet and shower noise from neighboring rooms.

This place is all about the location. It's blocks from main square for the Pilar church and the main attractions and TONS of restaurants. You'll get the best deal booking on their website. Check in was easy; one negative is that they do have physical keys that they ask you to leave when you depart the room but they just have them behind the desk (so anyone could just grab a key?).

They included a crib with no issues or additional charges. The room was simple but the bed was two doubles (aka big King) so it took a lot of the floor space up. Great shower pressure. The outside windows are double paned and you cannot hear a thing from outside when both are closed.

Service was great, they cleaned daily and replaced towels. We did not get the breakfast package and opted to have breakfast there once during our five night stay. It was fine but they were out of acai.

The only major improvement they can make and that you should be aware of is that the interior of the floors are LOUD. The doors can only be opened with a key vice door knob, so you have to slam the door shut (and its loud and can be heard in your room when every room slams their door). It's vinyl flooring with the stairwell open, so you'll hear every noise (door slams, people in stairwell, and for some reason everybody decided to have the loudest conversations when exiting the elevator). Additionally the door to the room has a sizeable gap (appx 1 in/2.5 cm) that allows noise in. If they put even low grade carpeting, it would reduce the reverberation of noise.

The interior noise aside, it was a great stay and it will be our place to stay when we return to Zaragoza.

What a sweet place! So convenient with the restaurant/bakery attached. It was great for vegan food, and super-popular. All the staff we encountered were phenomenal. Great location too. If we ever get back to this wonderful town, we want to stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sauce in Zaragoza, but what truly made it unforgettable were Angela and Alex from the staff. These two are simply exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They went above and beyond to help with every little detail, always with a smile and a kind word.

Angela and Alex are probably the nicest people I’ve met in Spain — and that’s saying a lot! Their kindness and professionalism made me feel completely at home. If you're visiting Zaragoza, I can't recommend Hotel Sauce enough — not just for the cozy rooms and great location, but for the incredible people who make it special.

Fantastic place to stay. Great location, cozy functional room, extremely clean, great service and collaboration from staff plus they offer delicious breakfast & coffee. Will come back to Zaragoza and will certainly stay in Hotel Sauce again. Highly recommend it!

The staff is lovely. Our room had a funky shape and the AC didn't flow as well, but they were very accommodating and offered to change the room. IN the end, the AC worked perfectly well. The food in the restaurant was great!

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are light and airy and very clean. The staff are terrific and all seem to speak English really well. The cafe downstairs is really good, we had all our breakfasts there and finally its position for visiting the wonderful sites of Zaragoza is ideal. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Hotel in the center of Zaragoza. Very friendly staff. The bathroom is a bit small.

Cheap and cheerful with a good location. Rooms are nothing to write home about but the service and staff were friendly and helpful. Communication prior to arrival was good. No parking on site (it's right in the heart of the city) but paid options available nearby - as they make clear. Good value.
