Alda Zaragoza Independencia in Zaragoza

What a lovely hotel in Zaragoza! I had the pleasure of staying there for one night, and I must say, it’s perfectly situated right at Plaza España. The room was quite spacious, and the price was just wonderful for my stay. Plus, it’s conveniently close to all the major sights, making it an ideal choice for exploring the area.

Very well located hotel, near the heart of Zaragoza.

The main highlight of the hotel for us was its partnership with a nearby (underground) parking lot (Parking Indigo - Plaza España). The hotel provides a discount bringing the cost down from €18 to €12 per day. Although most of the parking spaces seemed to be reserved (private), we had no trouble finding a space to park during our 3-day stay. It was hard finding hotels around the same area and same price range with free parking, so the discount was a nice extra.

Nothing special when it comes to the rooms. Bathroom a bit on the small side, but not too bad. Breakfast, which costs ~€8/person (June 2025) is decent, with a few options of bread, pastries, cheese/ham (jamon), fruits, yoghurt and cereal; also coffee, tea and juice - again nothing to brag about but good enough.

Make sure to call and request a double bed if you are a couple, as we were given a room with 2 twin beds and told there was no availability for double-bed rooms. The two twin beds can be moved together though.

Overall a good hotel that offers the basics and in a very central location. Perhaps a bit overpriced despite us booking more than 3 months ahead of time. Maybe that was because our stay was during the Aragon MotoGP weekend, which might have pushed prices up.

Room 211. The room was small but perfectly formed! Nicely decorated and cozy, very comfy beds. Decent bathroom and good water pressure for the shower.

No views (except the side of the building next door - so you need the lights on) BUT that's not so bad because there's no noise from the street or traffic and because the hotel is in a great location you're straight out onto Plaza de España anyway.

The whole hotel was very clean and the whole team very friendly. Very much enjoyed our stay there.

Our room was small but very clean and comfortable and perfect for a couple of nights exploring the city. Its location is fantastic as you can walk to all the main sites and el tubo area in the evenings.
Shout out to Carlos at reception, who went above and beyond to help us and make our stay enjoyable.

I liked the hotel, i spend one night only without breakfast so I have nothing to comment on that. I had a problem with the bathroom water not going down but it was fixed straight ahead.
I saw some dirt on the bed sheets but nowhere else. Overall, its very good for its price.

The location is excellent, it's right in the heart of Zaragoza, but because of its architecture it's rather quiet. My room was small, but well-equipped and comfortable. The breakfast isn't outstanding, but diverse and satisfying. For this price I think this is a very good catch.

For the price we couldn't have picked a better location to visit the old town.
Parking in the underground opposite is a bit pricey
