Right in the heart of the city, this beautiful, quaint, and clean hostel is a hidden gem.
The owner was accommodating and welcoming. The rooms are warm and tidy, and the shared bathrooms are clean.
There's a common breakfast/eating area and the halls are filled with plants.
A lot of attention and care has been put into this hostel and it's a welcoming place for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago!

Great location, wonderful host Ana & super clean private rooms. Shared bathroom was also clean!

Had a great stay here, 27 euros for my own double room was unbelievable value. The location and host are wonderful. The bed was so comfortable I had the best sleep and was totally refreshed for my camino.

Hostal Bayon might be an older property, but it might offer the best value in Leon!
I stayed in a spacious double room with a small balcony for only 25 euro. The room and the decoration showed signs of age, but the bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well.
There is a shower and a sink inside the room, so you only need to use the shared bathroom to go to the toilet.
The location is great; both within walking distance of the sights, the bars, the restaurants and grocery stores and shops, and also close to the Camino de Santiago.
Even better, a breakfast of toast and coffee is included in the price!

I cannot recommend enough Hostal Bayon for your stay in Leon. Not only it is cheap and central, but the owner is absolutely amazing ! She will help you as much as she can and will make you feel at home. I have been there once before travelling in the west of spain and I came back there at the end of my trip, feeling like coming back home. Everything was perfect and I will recommend this place to all my friends and family !! Thanks a million !!

Good service, but a rather old place. Shared bathroom, althought there's a shower inside the room. Breakfast took place in an small room, on a single table with other guests. Perhaps a bit overpriced for what you receive.

Stayed here for 2 nights as a couple before beginning a Camino hike. Service was warm and welcoming at all hours - very kind and responsive. Room and facilities are slightly rough and dated but extremely clean. For the cost, this hotel is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Easy walking distance from everything, including the train station.
