It's impressive. If you go to León, I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful building with a charming little square. You can have a drink at the parador cafeteria by the river. And check out the León Museum, which is free to enter.

It was a former convent that housed pilgrims. The style is typically Spanish, not simple and refined as I prefer. Now it's a luxurious and comfortable hotel, complete with a bar and restaurant. The quality of the products is unquestionable, as is the excellent flavor of the food served. It overlooks St. Mark's Square: a beautiful view.

Breakfast was delicious with so many fresh local options. Parking was safe. The Parador León was exceptional with its grand staircase, ancient architecture and its unique library, courtyard statues of St. James, etc. The huge plaza outside the hotel is relaxing for a stroll and don’t forget to stroll over the 2,000 year old bridge next to the hotel and along the wide River walk. We love the Parador León Hotel in Spain and its location.

Pros: not in the center but still walkable, gorgeous facade and attached monastery, nice included breakfast, beautiful and ample standard room, pleasant staff everywhere in hotel

Consistent guest experiences
I saw some guests being guided around the hotel. It would have been nice to have a policy to do this for all guests as I only found doors to the cloisters because I am naturally curious and was determined to find a way. Also, even though I could hear folk on the exterior courtyard, I had no idea where it was.

I was expecting to compromise on the quality of the room/facilities/food/service to stay in this magnificent historical building at a premium price, but there are no compromises here. This is the best of the best, true 5 stars and worth every penny. Impressive work by the management, the staff, the architects and the decorators.

Stylish luxurious 5 star Parador in historic building. Modern interior and 5 star features a supprising behind the ancient exterior. Good service and food, better than a typical parador. Great location. Not the cheapest but good value. Impressive bath room. Well designed. Secure parking.

It is just amazing when you stay at a parador hotel that you are able to visit a period of History. The hotel is spectacular and Grand and far more than I expected. The staff in all parador hotels are so wonderful and nice and professional and the one in Leon is no exception. The spaces in this hotel are massive and so Grand and well designed. Our room was beautiful and the experience at the restaurant, the bar and the breakfast were perfect. I highly recommend staying here when you're in. Leon.
