Clean rooms and dorms in a great touristic area, only a 3-minute walk to the beach. The highlight of my stay was the staff—especially Dilishan, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended!

had two nights booked at the hostel. our plane ended up turning up very late the night, and the owner gave us a private apartment for free for that night, despite us turning up at 4am. he then gave us that private apartment rather than the hostel for our two paid nights, still charging the same cheap price. location is very convenient and close to the beach with, very cheap rates and a very friendly owner, who also got a boat trip sorted for us for a cheap price. would definitely recommend.

My stay at Sky Hostel Negombo was nothing short of perfect. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed like family. The vibe of the hostel is warm, friendly, and super chill — exactly what every traveler looks for after a long journey.

The hosts are absolutely amazing — kind, helpful, and genuinely caring. They go out of their way to make sure every guest feels comfortable and at home. From travel guidance, transport help, local tips, to just friendly chats — their hospitality is truly next level. You don’t feel like a guest here, you feel like a friend.

The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with proper ventilation and peaceful surroundings. The beds are cozy, the bathrooms are clean, and everything is managed with great attention to hygiene. The common areas are perfect for relaxing and meeting other travelers.

The location is also excellent — close to the beach, restaurants, local markets, and transport options. Everything you need is within easy reach, making it super convenient for backpackers and solo travelers.

What makes Sky Hostel truly special is the positive energy and social atmosphere. It’s very easy to meet fellow travelers, share stories, and create unforgettable memories here. It’s not just a place to sleep — it’s a complete experience.

Very nice hostel with a nice sunny garden, cheap laundry service and a super chill vibe. You can meet other travelers and have a great time here. Make sure you book with breakfast included! You'll get a great breakfast at SKY CAFE which is also a great place for super nice food and fresh juices for affordable prices!
On my way back to the airport I'll definitely stay a couple of days at SKY hostel again!
And also is very close to the beautiful beach!
