We had a wonderful stay at Gems Guest House in Tangalle. It’s a very quiet and peaceful place — perfect for relaxing. Our room was really cozy and comfortable, and we felt at home right away. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with anything.

A special bonus: there’s amazing espresso-style coffee just around the corner, which made our mornings even better. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a calm place with warm hospitality. We would definitely come back!

Very dirty place. Angry owners. Bad and slow WiFi signal. Bring incomplete portions. Do not know how to make cocktails. If you want to leave earlier, the owners asked for that money!

Owner is very rude, and the spaghetti tastes like soya noodles. We ordered soda water but got tonic. When we made a comment about the food and wanted something else instead, they were very hostile and they wanted us to pay for everything including 10% service charge. Don't go here!!

We had a lovely stay at Gems Garden Guest House Tangalle. The room was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated, making it a very comfortable place to relax. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, always attentive and happy to help, which made us feel at home right away. The breakfast was typical Sri Lankan style and very tasty – a great way to start the day. One of the highlights is the perfect beachfront location, with a restaurant right next door. Enjoying delicious cocktails and playing billiards in the evening added to the relaxed and fun atmosphere. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. We would happily come back anytime.

Paradise Friendliest family.nice restaurant at the sea, good food. Best breakfast with hoppers.place to stay at.. Marakolliya beach is not overcrowded . Nice family. Little girl was amazing. We definitely recommend this amazing guesthouse.thanks ruwan.good luck.
