We chose Villa Kiva based on the rating in *********** and we were not disappointed. We had an Africa room with a sea view, more expensive but worth it. Staff exceptional and food was first class, including catering for gluten free needs

Great restaurant. Wish I could say I stayed there but was staying somewhere else. I ate there every day for 4 days over the Christmas holidays . Great food, service, and view.

It was an incredible experience! We stayed for seven days and loved everything. The hotel's location is perfect, right in front of the beach and very close to the north of the island. All the staff were extraordinary and did everything to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Pietro, who played a key role in making our vacation unforgettable. The hotel food was delicious and the half-board option was definitely the best choice. If we return to Zanzibar, Villa Kiva will be our choice again.

Incredible experience at Villa Kiva hotel & restaurant. Amazing and friendly staff; big, fancy and Incredibly perfumed rooms; nice gardens and pools; comfortable place; good breakfast and dinner. Must repeat! Asante sana!

The perfect relax and re-coup! Loved our stay at Villa Kiva. Great location, fab beach, nice restaurant and comfy rooms. Varied menu with lots of Zanzibari and international food to cater for all tastes. Reasonably priced wine too so we got a couple of bottles to enjoy over a few nights. Special mentions to Mussa and Jenny who made our stay fun with their help and great conversations. We enjoyed the yoga classes and I booked a massage too which was really good. Our room was well appointed with a beach view - it all felt private and relaxed. The beach hakwers can be a bit annoying to it's good Villa Kiva have some private raised beach beds and loungers within the hotel where the hawkers can't go so it's peaceful, as well as their garden loungers and pools. Some nice things to buy as well in a mini shop such as clothing and sun creams in case you need anything.

Excellent beach front hotel to relax after our safari in Serengeti. Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel. Grace made sure we had a memorable time made us an arrangement with a nice guy, Ali, for our transportation and island activities.

Our staying at Villa Kiva has been absolutely amazing! The hotel is really nice and well integrated with the nature. Rooms are confortable, the private beach with sun beds is a mix of relax and privacy. The staff is so kind, everybody is smiling and wants to help you to stay the best possible. In addition, food is absolutely delicious: from breakfast to dinner, we never missed our italian food even for one day! And what about the SPA: we had a Swedish massage, and it has probably been the best massage we had in our life!! Last but not least, the beach is wonderful, wide and perfect for long walks; and the sea is like a swimming pool of dreams. Tides here are not a problem at all! In conclusion, Villa Kiva has been for us the perfect fit for what we searched: not in the commercial part of Kendwa and Nnungwi, with amazing beaches and a great relax with delicious local food!

The room was a little small, yet had a nice view and ocean breeze. The mini split air conditioners were crazy loud. It took until the 2nd morning to figure out how to turn them off, they weren't necessary anyway with the ocean breeze and overhead fan. I spent most of my time outside anyway. The grounds were really lush with lots of shade and flowering plants including baobab trees. The restaurant had a large menu with some great choices. The bartender was also creative.

I went there to have some mango ice cream. They charged 2$ for a scoop. They didn't have plastic spoon so I couldn't take it away. But I loved sitting there and having that ice cream. The view was excellent. Ice cream had more ice than the flavor of fruit. It was certainly not the best of ice creams I ever had. But the music and view was definitely the best.
