The hotel included two meals, and we stayed for three nights, so we went to a restaurant for dinner every night. The food was generally good, and the barbecue and pasta pizza were delicious

Tui Blue Bahari is 5*+ There is space, good food, great private beaches, 5 restaurants, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. There were more sunbeds than guests when we stayed and towels are available poolside

The three meals were very good, the pool was beautiful, the beach and the sea were perfect. The band performances by the pool at night were very high quality and the atmosphere was great

There are bars in the garden, by the beach and at the pool, which are all manned with waiters and bar staff who are happy and efficient

There were some sunbeds around the pool , there was no problem to find sunbeds at the beach. Beach towels were changed each evening in the room. During the day at the reception if needed

A big plus for original Coca-Cola drinks and bottled beers – a small detail, but it really makes a difference. However, there are also some downsides. The hotel is very much focused on Italian guests

While the rooms have a nice local style, they definitely need some maintenance and repairs – in my case, the shower sprayed water onto the ceiling, and the bathroom door didn’t open freely

Another issue, though not the hotel’s fault, is the presence of very persistent Masai sellers on the beach. They can be extremely pushy and even guilt-trip you into giving them money

One uncomfortable situation was when a cleaning lady entered our room despite being asked to come later, and said she would just wait inside – which was not appropriate

The infinity pool was in pristine condition, the breakfast and dinner buffet had a great selection and the Jetty restaurant was convenient for lunch too

We booked the partial sea view room and it was fabulous from all the little details inside to the private verandah outside, perfect for relaxing whilst reading a book or watching the boats go by on the sea

The spa is excellent value for money. Food is very good and plentiful and the staff can't do enough for you. There is a children's club but overall this is a very quiet resort without late night entertainment

Sultan Sands is a wonderfull resort, located on de beach. The resort is well maintained, luxurious and beautifully set up

It perfectly sits on the kiwengwa beach there is nothing better than that. The food the service the peaceful vibe of the whole resort is just addictive. I honestly didn’t felt like going back on my last day.

The only downside is that it's quite far from Stone Town, about a 20-minute drive

! The beach is only a couple of minutes away, but there is also a very nice pool to relax by…! The food served is of very good quality, but above all very tasty! Most importantly, all the staff is beyond fantastic! From the cleaners, the waiters to the reception staff and the owners, everyone has been an absolute star to make sure our stay was great! The location is great, second to the beach and nice and quiet when you need it, beautiful designed with palm trees for shadow and a big pool kept cool where the kids can play. The staff is so nice and the food good too
