Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar - All Inclusive, Nungwi1 / 30

Mjini Magharibi Region, Nungwi, Nungwi Rd, Nungwi, North Coast Zanzibar 🧭 Map
Already saving up to return. I LOVED everything, Rebecca at the buffet restaurant and the Indian manager were exceptionally good to me.
We LOVEDDDDDD (!!!!!!!) it here!! So much so that we decided to book twice in the same vacation. We hadn't booked anything for the last part of our honeymoon, and we decided to come back to end our honeymoon here. The service is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly (genuine, not the fake friendliness), the rooms are amazing and the beach is soo clean and beautiful. The food is also amazing!! Which...
Amazing hotel to stay. Being an avid traveller, I can say this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed. The food is exceptional in quality and quantity. The staff are very friendly and cater to all needs. Such a lovely place to be to relax and enjoy the all-inclusive vibes. All staff are smiling and show so much care towards you. We were specially looked after by Abdallah who mostly works in...
We stayed in both Jumbo and Palace. We checked into the hotel at night, they gave us a room near the reception (the reception is more modest compared to Jumbo). Our room was 300 and was terribly far from the restaurant and activities, it was hard to walk up the hill. But you could ask to take you by buggy. In the first hours of our stay, I seemed to like Palace less, but then I realized its specialty...
It is a bit pricey but the service and food very good. It is an all inclusive resort and everything is free. They have a bar and service for 24 hours. They have multiple restaurants and one of their restaurant open three times a day and there is another restaurant that opens till late. You can use RIU Jambo resort facilities. There are about four or five restaurants open for dinner time but to get...
Friendly staff, hotel located on a beautiful beach but no restaurants, shops around. Often power cuts during the day.

MELIÁ Zanzibar, Kiwengwa1 / 30
7.4
Mjini Magharibi Region, Kiwengwa, Kiwengwa 🧭 Map
An incredibly large hotel—at least 45 minutes from one side to the other, so it's convenient to use the golf carts. A wide variety of restaurants, several beaches, and pools. Very cozy, secluded pavilions, completely immersed in the jungle. The sand on the shoreline is stunning. The coastline itself is endless—over 10 km.
I believe that having booked in the premium level area, the car services should be more efficient.
Initially we had some issues with our villa and with the condition of its balcony, which was due for refurbishment as the neighbouring villa was being worked on - so it wasn’t a great start, however the staff were attentive and sorted us out by relocating us a brand new private villa which in one word was WOW! Everything else was excellent and would most certainly recommend.
Wonderful place , felt like heaven , we had a perfect experience, felt in love with the place and the team of the hotel were welcoming and helpful .
This is my second time staying at Meliá, and it won’t be my last. It’s not only because the hotel and grounds are beautiful. It’s the staff, they are exceptional, they’re the most friendly, smiley, professional and provide amazing service. Every room is cleaned twice a day and I’ve left valuables lying around and everything has always been safe. My only complaint this time was that there was no working...
1. The ambiance is fantastic! 2. The main restaurant's chef seems Indian, and we had a rather terrible dinner. Luckily, we switched to BBQ the next day, which was a bit better. Bookings at the other restaurants aren't easy. You have to book a full day in advance to be sure. 3. The beach party on our check-in night lasted until midnight and was incredibly loud. I made several complaints starting at...

Kiwengwa beach resort zanzibar Tanzania. Dreamy beach paradise. Stop searching and book this incredible hotel on the beach this place is a gem, rooms are spacious beautifully tiled and pristine. The food was excellent. We specially enjoyed breakfast
Excellent customer service from start to finish—friendly, attentive staff and quick problem resolution. Our original room had a stale smell, and washcloths were unavailable with toiletries not replenished unless requested. We had to switch rooms, after which room service became available, but we weren’t initially aware of it; a 24-hour room service or snack option would be appreciated. Areas for improvement...
Absolutely fantastic holiday, the hotel is amazing, right on the beach but with plenty of pools too. The restaurants were all great, such a good selection. Our room was fabulous with the comfiest bed. The staff could not do enough for you and always happy and smiling. We were chilled right from the minute we got there to the minute we left. Such a memorable holiday for us celebrating a big birthday...
Positives: The hotel area is huge, boasts very good facilities, has 3 separate pools and a beautiful beach area thus avoiding overcrowded areas. Negatives: Considering that this is a 5 star hotel, the rooms smelt of mould, electricity circuits had issues with lights flickering and lights not working. Room finishing was very poor. Having stayed at Tanzania mainland in Serengeti, I felt that accommodation...
Emmanuel The hotel manager & also all the staff at the restaurant 10/10 Going to miss this beautiful resort Love from Monica, Ibrahim & baby miracle
The hotel is next to the beach, the beach is beautiful with white sand, and the hotel is quite large. The environment is OK, there are two bedside restaurants, one buffet restaurant that I didn't try and it looked average, and the other a la carte restaurant. It was also average. The room was normal and not luxurious, and there was nothing to see near the hotel. Stay here to enjoy the beach, don't...

Luxurious hotel, deserving of its stars Beautiful grounds, pools and room. Very attentive service. Good and varied food. I really enjoyed my stay
The hotel grounds are beautiful but the staff especially the staff at reception didn’t seem too welcoming. I also explained that we were celebrating our honeymoon and was told the room would be decorated…it never happened. The food lacks flavor…for such a big resort it would nice if it were more dining options. The rooms are also dated could use some remodeling.
We had great time at this hotel. Good evening entertainment and food was great! This hotel was busier then the other three hotels we stayed in zanzibar. Nice little beach area and bars. Would stay again..
Good value for money, the room is big, can accommodate three people, suitable for a family of three. Two balconies, many large hotel swimming pools, and great views. It is said that the drinks are all-inclusive, but in fact the free drinks and drinks are relatively few. The buffet is quite satisfactory, not amazing. There are relatively few Chinese people, and I met one. The service attitude of the...
It was my first time staying at an all inclusive hotel and i loved it. The hotel is huge and there is a lot to do in the hotel. I stayed at the beachfront room so I had the best views and the best room in the hotel. The staff was amazing and the food was even better.
We stayed at the Zanzibar Royal for couple of nights in June . Beautiful hotel, top notch and friendly service. The food was excellent. Lunch and Dinner buffets were had different variety. Mr. Muru and his staff were very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The pool area and the beach were beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Highly recommend staying here. The staff were lovely. A massive shout out to Innocent who served us during our romantic beach dinner and also went above and beyond the following night for beach buffet dinner. An honourable mention to Sufiyan or Sufiyani I cannot remember his name properly but really great service at Bar & Grill restaurant. Hotel amenities were great with good food at both buffet restaurants. Only downside was that...
The facilities are very good, the service staff is very friendly, and the beach is beautiful
The room was very clean and had a balcony, which was very convenient for drying swimwear. The hotel was very large. We stayed near the front desk, and it was a long walk to the restaurant and the beach. The staff were very friendly. The hotel included two meals, and we stayed for three nights, so we went to a restaurant for dinner every night. The food was generally good, and the barbecue and pasta...
Great hotel, complete facilities, good service, and the sea in front of the hotel is also beautiful. The breakfast and dinner package is very cost-effective, and there are three free restaurants to choose from. There are only hotels nearby, not many restaurants.
The three meals were very good, the pool was beautiful, the beach and the sea were perfect. The band performances by the pool at night were very high quality and the atmosphere was great. On Saturdays, we caught up with the beach dinner and the Masai show. The room was large, the waiters were friendly and the service was good

It was a perfect Trip! The Hotel, the room, the buffet everything! Especially Allan, he works at the poolbar and in the evening at the dinner!!! Very friendly! Hakuna matata! We come back again!!!
My partner and I stayed here for 10 days in late September. On arrival we were greeted at reception with a drink and a much-needed hot towel after a very long flight. Our luggage was taken to our room while we were checking in, during checking we were provided a map with all relevant information such as restaurant times and provided...
This is a very nice and beautiful beach resort along the east coast of Zanzibar. The staff was so friendly, the accommodations nice, beach was spectacular colors and chairs in the shade easy to find. I can say it's the best hotel in Zanzibar
Zuri is not just a resort, it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave! This was our third stay at this resort. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family, and that is entirely down to the incredible people who run this place. Hotel Manager Romano sets the tone for everything. His warmth, attention to detail, and the genuine care he puts into our stay is shown in...
It’s with a heavy heart that we leave tomorrow. Zuri Zanzibar is quite simply one of the most special places we have ever had the privilege of staying. The location is stunning — and the days here have a beautiful rhythm to them. Mornings begin with fantastic yoga, the perfect way to ease into the day, before the sundowners on the beach each evening bring everything full circle. The evening entertainment...
Beautiful hotel, all the facilities are very good, but the beach access is the best part—plenty of space. The staff is super friendly.
Pros - Beautiful bungalow room & pool & nice beach. Cons- customer service for the wait staff & room service extremely slow. We would ask for a simple thing for the room & it would never come or take a few hours to be delivered like water or an iron. Food at the only beach grill the Bahari Beach Grill pretty terrible. Lastly, they say it’s a private beach but they allow others to still sit and take...
We absolutely loved our stay at Zuri Zanzibar. The bungalows were a wonderful surprise — beautifully designed, set in the middle of lush greenery, and offering great privacy. The housekeeping was excellent, and everything was always spotless. The food was also fantastic; we dined at Maisha every night and the chef’s daily suggestions were consistently amazing. Great stay service food and facilities Staff is very friendly and welcome Only bad thing is that if you come for the beach it’s not the best in the area due to the rocks
Amazing hotel ,great customer service 10/10 l highly recommend.
We had friends who were staying close by who wanted to come have lunch and drinks at the hotel. They were asked to pay $20 per head to access the hotel. We ended up going to thier hotel for dinner and drinks. Otherwise service was good.
Best birthday weekend ever! The staff were warm, welcoming, and full of joy 🤗. My beachfront room was breathtaking, waking up to the ocean was pure bliss. Huge thanks to the team on 31.08.25 for making my birthday so special with songs and a beautiful cake. Asanteni sana! 💜
Great place, I loved the staff
The beach at Nungwi Dreams is peaceful and quite. Ideal for a perfect getaway. High standard of leaving which I could recommend any day any hour. The breakfast buffet wow it's the best that I have ever experienced in Zanzibar.

Beautiful hotel, welcoming and helpful team
This hotel was fantastic; the ocean and pool alone were enough to make the stay fulfilling. I highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway!
Not a bad hotel for this location. Positive staff and service.
Beautiful hotel, very kind and helpful staff. Major drawbacks: the beach and low tide, lots of sea urchins, and the distance from Nungwi town center. The manager forced us to pay €90 per person for a Christmas meal even though we don't celebrate Christmas, but they refused to budge, and the meal was mediocre.
From the moment we stepped inside the reception to the time we checked out, we had the most memorable stay. The whole resort was beautifully presented, clean, luxurious and peaceful. We booked the partial sea view room and it was fabulous from all the little details inside to the private verandah outside, perfect for relaxing whilst reading a book or watching the boats go by on the sea. The infinity...
The hotel fell short of 5-star standards due to inconsistent service. Key issues: • Our booked seafront suite was unavailable on the first night due to overbooking (later cited as maintenance), and we were placed in a family house with unused amenities like a kitchen and extra rooms. • Service was lacking: staff were friendly but unhelpful. One left us at the buffet without seating us, and another...

We were looking for a getaway and the Diamond Mapenzi Beach Hotel in Zanzibar was exactly what we needed. Comprising of endless days in the sun, friendly staff and the most exquisite resort. The beaches were clean and easily accessible. The resort is spacious and can be as private as you want to be. This is a place that recharges your batteries and wants you to come back for more !!
Spent a lovely 9 days at this hotel. The place was spotless and so well run. The food was delicious and all of the staff exceptional. Id like to make a special mention of Waziri who was so attentive to our needs around the beach area. Would have given 5 stars but our towels were not changed the whole time we were there.
What is Diamonds mapenzi? Is the place where you can recharge after work hard and make your holiday unforgettable. Starting animation team to the all department staff are extremely unforgettable special animation team made our holiday went above and beyond. Everything was great beach room, pools, foood gardens and check in and check out Hopefully back again !
We were welcomed with such generosity from the friendliest staff. A special shout out to Omar who did our introductory walk through and by the time we left, we could sincerely call him a friend. We had a very good experience. Their food is so nice. We were warmly welcomed at the restaurant by Hafidh and he served us very well..
The hotel is great, very welcoming Cleaned and environmentally sound However it is located very far (about 1h30min) from what we call “pinterest” beaches. At the moment we came, the roads were in chaos due to roadworks and repairs. Overall, for those who just want to stay at the hotel, without really wanting to explore the city, it’s a great choice.
Greatest hospitality from the lounge from Suleiman…I’ll sureLu come back

I loved everything but to name a few: the stunning beach that even has a walkway into the ocean, the hotel staff’s attention to guest, the gym, the location, the spa and overall the smell of flowers/plants all over the resort. This resort had a wonderful staff and BEAUTIFUL VIEWS from our beach front elevated villa. Unbelievable place! My girlfriend and I care a lot about the food we eat at resorts we visit. Tulia was at a 4/10 when it came to the food.
From the moment you arrive to the final drive to the airport this place is true paradise! Service above and beyond, the property has 16 rooms in stunning bungalows. The maintenance and amenities are top notch. Walking distance from the Pongwe Beach. Staff are incredible and will do anything to make you happy. The hotel has their own little farm which provides the freshest ingredients for all the food...
We travel a lot and we must say that Tulia was by far one of the best choices where we have stayed. The staff, food, garden, services, spa, entertainment and the overall impression was absolutely perfect. The all inclusive meant truly everything from seafood to champagne. Also we got airport transfers and massages as complimentary package so it was great deal. ALL in all this was the best holiday...
Where to start? The Tulia is located on a beautiful private beach. The food and drink selection are amazing. Rooms are large and situated amongst the most beautiful greenery. The staff are warm and genuine, and seem to enjoy working there. The food is excellent. Our kids loved the water slides and the beach activities. It comes at a hefty price, but this level of hotel in other markets (Thailand or...
We travel a lot, and great service is rare — but Tulia gets it right. Lucas in the restaurant remembered our preferences after the first day, and it never felt forced or scripted. The team works seamlessly, and you can feel the pride they take in their work.
We chose this place because we were tired — not just physically, but mentally. And somehow, Tulia understood that without us ever saying it. There was no pressure to do anything. We ate when we were hungry, swam when we felt like it, and spent a surprising amount of time simply sitting and doing nothing. The food was consistently excellent, the surroundings beautiful, but more than that, the whole...

I came with friends to see the sea. It is in the center of Stone Town and has a good location. Overall it is good and I will choose it again if I have the chance.
Good, could be great with some changes.
The location is in Stone Town, which is convenient for sightseeing. It is a very good hotel in the area with good facilities, but it is a bit expensive
It's not new, but very beautiful. When we checked in, they said there were no sea view rooms, what a pity...; The hotel is on the west side of the island. Don't forget to find a sunset cruise to watch the sunset, which is the highlight of the hotel on the west side of the island.
Right in the heart of Stone Town, you can go downstairs to the beach. There are fresh coconuts for breakfast, but they are not sweet enough. Haha, maybe the African coconuts are not the right variety, they don't feel sweet enough. The overall service facilities are good and meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.
The hotel is beautiful. It is located at the heart of Stone town. If you like luxury than this hotel is for you. I’m definitely going to go back. The food and the friendly staff made my stay extra special.

My stay at the Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Resort & Spa was incredible. The location is just perfect with direct beach access, and I really appreciated how safe it felt – there's security around so nobody bothers you, which makes such a difference. We stayed in one of the villas and honestly, it had everything. Private pool with loungers and hammocks, really good air conditioning, a kitchen with a...
The best of the best you can find on this island. Location - amazing (a huge white sand beach, a wonderfully curated garden); accomodation - superb (pristine clean, comfortable, spacious rooms); food - unbelievable (quality of ingredients, the way dishes are prepared and delivered, all is top); personnel - wonderful (Hamida we miss you, but also Janeth and all other waiters, Haji the driver, and every...
A fantastic place. The staff is incredibly nice, monkeys come and go in the trees, the spa is perfect and the food is excellent with some nice happenings : local artists are often invited to play music and dance. Thanks to Valerie, the general manager, to Ramadhan, the nicest buttler you'll ever meet, and all the staff : Beatrice, Doreen, Karoline, Moudric the guide, Evelyne and Moreen at the spa...
R&C’s White Sand Villas in Zanzibar was an exceptional venue for our family’s New Year getaway. We left another property in the northwest of Zanzibar when two rooms were available last minute for a stay here. The grounds are impeccable and blend in beautifully with the natural white sand surroundings. The allure of kite surfers is magnificent from the clean, not-busy beach. The villas are extremely...

We had our stunning villa and the large private pool, which offered total seclusion and hours of fun for the kids and beyond, the food was exceptional, every meal was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. It is the perfect blend of luxury, privacy, and top-tier dining. The staff treated our children like royalty...
A Slice of Paradise – With a French Twist! I’m staying at White Sand Luxury Villas right now, and honestly… it’s everything a Relais & Châteaux hotel should be — relaxed luxury with zero fuss and lots of “oh wow” moments. Valérie, the manager (a fabulous French lady), runs the place beautifully. You can feel her touch everywhere: stylish, calm, and just the right amount of chic. The staff are wonderful...

This hotel is paradise. Only 30 villas spread out over a large area with a stunning beach and gorgeous pool area. The staff are plentiful and attentive, all providing service with a smile. Yassine gets a particular mention for being the guy that goes above and beyond, and gets special requests sorted.
From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The villas are breathtaking — beautifully designed, spacious, and thoughtfully detailed, blending luxury with authentic Zanzibar style. The food was exceptional and truly unforgettable. What made the experience truly outstanding was the service. The staff provided warm, attentive, and highly personalized care, making us feel special...
