I came with friends to see the sea. It is in the center of Stone Town and has a good location. Overall it is good and I will choose it again if I have the chance.

The Madinat Al Bahr hotel is conveniently located at a beach near the airport (3km, 6-10min drive) and also not far from Zanzibar City (7km, around 10-15min drive) with its famous stone town and ferry terminal to Dar Es Salaam etc. The hotel's architecture is impressive. Overall the hotel was good. The beach and pool was very nice. Food was hit and miss as certain items were repeated. Our Butler Ramson was provided with our Jungle Villa was excellent and his service was impeccable. Th hotel is approximately 1.5 hours from Stone Town. Overall we enjoyed the hotel amenities and food.

We enjoyed the stay and the staff were very friendly. However, due to a flight cancellation we arrived a day after our check-in date. I did send the hotel a message advising them of this and asking if they could do anything about the (all inclusive) cost but received NO response.
