Monoceros Resort in Mae Rim

Beautiful cottages, awesome resort to chill with family and friends, so much lush greeneries, yummy food, breakfast choices was good with protein, fruits and carbs. Pretty flowers and plants, The hosts and staffs are so friendly. You can easily arrange with them for car and  massage services.

Meets standards, excellent service, very friendly. Ideal for a relaxing stay.

The environment was fantastic! We stayed in individual log cabins nestled in the forest. The rooms were quite nice, and the hotel even had a swimming pool and massage services. You could get a massage right in the outdoor pavilion, listening to birdsong and smelling the flowers – I almost fell asleep during the massage, it was so relaxing! The massage was also very affordable, 124 RMB for 2 hours, definitely worth a vacation! The food was also delicious, we finished every single meal! The staff were incredibly friendly and kind! Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing! Monoceros Resort feels like a paradise. Cabins in the jungle, all hours swimming pool, a delicious restaurant with vegan options, free bicycles to borrow... Paul and Orm and the staff are super nice and we also met friendly travellers here. It's in a beautiful area near Mae Rim, next to a waterfall and a gorgeous botanic garden. We extended our stay because we loved it so much!

This hotel is truly a truly healing place.

The surrounding walking trails are beautiful, and the owners are incredibly friendly.
The food at the restaurant is also excellent.

Because it was Loy Krathong Festival season,
we failed to find a hotel in Chiang Mai.
The Mae Rim Hotel, which we chose as our next best option, was truly amazing.
It's a small resort with less than 10 rooms, but it's a cozy, touching, and naturally healing place.

The pool, the walking trails, and the rooms were all fantastic.

After swimming and relaxing in the afternoon, I was about to head to the restaurant for dinner when it started to rain.
But I was touched by the two umbrellas placed on the veranda chairs.

Dinner was also wonderful, and the staff released the sky lanterns they had prepared for Loy Krathong. That was a truly special experience.

I definitely want to come back.

Amazing place. Easy to walk to some of the attractions. The owner is very polite and accommodating. It's a jungle haven.

My second stay at this wonderful place. Initially I was attracted by the beautiful, authentic Thai style of the restaurant along with its excellent food and great service. Next I fell in love with the lush and exquisitely planted garden. This was before I ever stayed here. Finally we booked our first holiday in one of the gorgeous cottages and were able to enjoy the beautiful pool, very tranquil setting and warmth and hospitality of Paul and Orm and their lovely staff. There is a very relaxed, homely and peaceful atmosphere. The location is great for exploring the many attractions in the surrounding countryside and yet is still close enough to Chiang Mai to be able to combine days in the city with easy retreats back to the oasis of calm and relaxation that Monoceros Resort provides. We love the beautiful, comfortable simplicity of the rooms and everywhere the very tasteful, Thai design. The small size of the resort affords a pleasant sense of privacy and a feeling of never being surrounded by too many people or too much noise. We love to sit out on the cottage terrace in the cool evening air when the only noise is that of the insects or occasional lizard. It is truly magical as is the very atmospheric illumination of the garden at night. The whole resort reflects a genuine passion and interest on the part of the owners to create and maintain a unique and very special place which is really a little piece of paradise. I currently have reason to be in this area twice a year and am thrilled that this means I get to stay here each trip! Monoceros will remain one of our very favourite holiday destinations in the world. Thank you Paul and Orm for providing this gorgeous haven!

Although I mistakenly booked the stay for the same day while making the reservation in the evening — meaning the check-in time had already passed by about four hours and I am quite far away in PAI (leaving next day to Mae RIM). Since it was a non-refundable, no-show booking, I initially thought I had lost it.
However, Paul, the reception manager, reached out by email to ask what time I would be arriving. I explained my mistake, letting him know I had meant to book for the following day. To my surprise and gratitude, they kindly adjusted my reservation at no extra charge.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and filled with tranquil natural sounds. The cleanliness was outstanding.
The huts are very nice. The toilet and shower were stylish, modern, and spotless. I had a very comfortable stay, and the breakfast was of excellent quality.

Comfortable bed, room is cozy, the garden is a masterpiece. It’s just so relaxing in this place, breakfast is nice and coffee was decent.

Highly recommend the place for quality rest.

An oasis near Chiang Mai
This is our go-to place to relax and work. The grounds are so beautifully taken care of, and the staff are lovely. A bonus is the amazing food!
