MAERIM WHALE PARK RESORT
If you are looking for a place for yourself, family or friends, I have found the perfect place. Six years ago a friend brought me here, I stayed for a few days, loved it, moved in and have stayed here ever since.
The resort has 10 beautiful villas around a lake, apartments and condos for cheap prices. There is a restaurant, coffee bar and the biggest swimming pool in the area. It is so clean that I hesitate to dive in! All the staff are very friendly and happy; the rooms are kept clean, sheets and towels regularly replaced. All set in lovely well-kept gardens.
A circular road takes you round the village with shops, restaurants and bars. There is an outdoor exercise area with fitness machines and a badminton court: all free to use.
Within about ten minutes of walking there is a range of other facilities: Green Valley Golf Course (with eating facilities), Makro, Supercheap Shop, banks, pharmacy, dentist, opticians, 3BB Wifi, 7/11, stalls for vegetarian food, massage and pet care. Nearby is a morning market with others on Tuesday (in Maaerim Plaza) and Friday evenings.
A hundred and fifty yards from the resort is the main road. A yellow sontaw passes every ten minutes to Wararot Market in Chiang Mai. Cross the road (carefully) to an enormous new market area with many shops, garages, Rimping Supermarket, KFC and an incredible eating place where your food is delivered by robotic trolleys that clear away your plates. In spite of the busy road, the resort is strangely quiet as two rows of buildings protect it from sound. I wish I could give you some bad points – but I have not found any!

I didn’t stay at the hotel part. I went for lunch and the food was VERY good 😌

Located in Mae Rim. Quiet Place
Far from downtown but near to Mon Jam
You can just walk nearby and then you will find many shops & restaurants, like KFC, Starbucks, Suki Teenoi Hot Pot, 7-eleven, DIY.
Rooms are good enough for the price.
There’s also a large swimming pool.
But in my POV, breakfast is not that good (doesn’t mean it’s bad). Only because I don’t like porridge.
It would be better if they served different items.
Staffs are friendly & helpful.
I’ll come again. 🤍
