Sara Beachfront Boutique Resort in Pathiu

This hotel is right on the beach, and the view—especially during high tide—is truly stunning. The room was spacious and mostly decorated with teak wood, which looks a bit dated. If you prefer bright, modern interiors, this might not be your style, but the view makes up for it.

Staffing seemed a bit limited. We were greeted by just two staff members—but they were very friendly and did their best to accommodate us. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the Western-style options, which were well done (possibly thanks to the Western co-owner).

The room was comfortable, but I’d suggest a bit more attention to the bathroom floor and walls, as the natural stone decor can look a little unclean over time. Overall, it’s a pleasant stay with a fantastic beach view.

We were on a road trip and decided to stop for a night in the area — ended up staying 3 nights at The Sara Beachfront Resort because we loved it so much! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth by the lovely owner, Rotjana. It was pretty late btw ☝🏼She has the most amazing energy and made us feel truly at home.

The resort itself is small and peaceful, right on a beautiful stretch of beach. The room was clean and comfortable, with a super cozy bed — and a big bonus: it’s pet friendly! 🐶

The food was absolutely delicious, and the breakfast had a great variety — everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful, which made the experience even more special.

This place was such a lucky find, and we’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing beachfront escape with amazing hospitality.

Generally speaking this place is a gem. The staff are very friendly and provide anything youask for. It’s a very quiet and beautiful setting right on the beach with direct access to the water.
But work needs to be done in the rooms and bathrooms. The doors and windows have gaps which allows ants and lizards to come in. As long as you’re OK with it, it’s perfect.

Quiet, peaceful hotel with personal service. Comfortable bed with traditional wood furniture throughout. A hidden gem.
Food is authentic and made with local ingredients. Small but excellent menu. Fully stocked bar. Decent prices too. Wr had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed a private table with open sea view.
Beautiful pool right on the sea and beach.
At night the sounds of nature and the stars are perfect for relaxation.

The perfect stop over to break up the journey from Bangkok down to the DonSak ferry.

We had a great week staying at the Sara Boutique Resort on a break from work in Bangkok. It's a small place and was entirely empty while we were there, so it felt like our own private resort. Most outstanding about our stay was the lovely location right on the beach and the wonderful personalized service we received from the staff and owner. They even gave us a free ride to the airport on our way home! Small tip that you should definitely visit the beautiful and unspoiled Ao Yai Ai beach nearby if you decide to go. Pros: -Located right on the beach. -Wonderful service staff. -All rooms have a beautiful ocean view. Cons: -A bit far from other restaurants and shops. -Coffee at breakfast could use a bit of an upgrade. -Could not get the TV to work despite our efforts.
