Dheva Mantra Resort in Kanchanaburi City

After 4 nights/5days, we were not ready to leave this peaceful province so we decided to check on Dheva Mantra where we wish to spend the New Year’s.
Luck was on our side — we managed to get a deluxe room river view which was the last available room at the time of our inquiry (in person). Despite being occupied with check-outs, Khun Teng (front desk officer) was kind enough to show us the room and give us a tour of their beautiful property. Such a nice lady with pleasing personality. During the NYE dinner, she approached to greet us a Happy New Year (wearing her infectious smile). As if making us feel so special is not enough, she made sure to approach me at the lobby terrace to bid me a warm goodbye. This lady is a gem.

Check-in (coming from another hotel) was an ease. A wonderful surprise — the flowery scent that greeted us upon opening the door of our room gave us a feeling of luxury. Definitely so inviting, we thought to cancel our activities outside. The room was spacious for a de luxe room, floor was spotless, in fact too shiny we couldn’t wear slippers coz it felt like Disney on Ice.
Hotel has huge adult and kiddie pool. Unlike in other hotels where kiddie pool is the size of a jacuzzi, theirs is huge and surrounded with lush greens where you hear the choir of birds.
The lobby is grand with a terrace overlooking the pool where you can read a book, have an afternoon tea or just indulge in sabai sabai.
It’s our first time to stay here but the pasty chef, Mr Wirat had small talks with us as if we are returning regular guests treated with special care. Knowing our daughter liked the butter cookies, it so thoughtful and kind of him to give her some extra before we left.
A gesture any parent will appreciate.
Not saying this hotel has no imperfections but there is nothing not to like about this property. If you’re looking to unwind in Kanchanaburi at a luxurious hotel without breaking the bank, this is the best choice.
One more reason to support this hotel is their charity work helping the children of their province.
We definitely would like to come back here soon.

P.S.
if there’s one thing we wish to have the next time we stay in this property, it would be having western food selection for breakfast like cheese, cold cuts and jam. Since we are a multi-cultural family, we like hotels that offer varied choices with a mix of Asian and Western breakfast options

Still worthy of a 5-star rating because of the overall experience.

The place is very spacious.
Environment: Cleanliness is good.

The room quality and breakfast were good, and service from staff in other areas was excellent.

Unfortunately, the front desk experience did not meet expectations. Special requests submitted in advance were not received from the booking system and could not be fulfilled. Front desk staff require improvement in communication skills, professionalism, and customer service attitude. Providing incorrect information and refusing guests should not happen at this level of hospitality.

I encourage hotel management to review this area for improvement and look forward to returning once service standards are enhanced.

This colonial style hotel is real luxury, the rooms are enormous with huge private terraces. The restaurant and breakfast was delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's out of the centre but tuktuk or grab gets you whenever you need to be in minutes. We had a lovely time here and will definitely visit again.

My room was in separate building than the main one , the room was super spacious but the building and room inside was little old . The public area and garden is super beautiful with river view and pool is nice as well.

Pros: the garden and public area is very beautiful, the river passes right near the hotel and you have very beautiful view of nice river from some of the rooms and also the garden and outdoor restaurant in the middle of river to have incredible view. The staff are nice and friendly. The sheets are clean and bathroom was clean as well . AC works fine. Food in restaurant was nice and pool is good . For location i have no idea because i went with bus tour there .

Cons: inside the room is old and building was old , the door is old wooden door with lots of open spaces on the frame as it is old and not energy efficient. The balcony door is not sealed properly like the main door so mosquitoes are welcome and not energy efficient. In general it is old inside and not sealed very well.

In general garden is beautiful with river view with lots of greens , mosquito and insects are normal as it is near garden and river .

Big, comfortable room, good breakfast and very nice atmosphere.
