We stayed one night at the Koh Mueangkarn Paradise View Resort in Sai Yok, and it truly lived up to its name. Nestled right on the banks of the Khwae Noi River, the setting is absolutely stunning—so peaceful and serene. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The on-site restaurant was excellent, offering a delicious dinner and breakfast with a view you won’t forget. I traveled with my wife and her family, and we all felt completely relaxed during our short stay. The resort is quite remote, so there’s not a lot to do nearby. That said, the scenery alone makes it well worth the visit. One or two nights is ideal to soak it all in. At around 3,000฿ for two rooms, it’s also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy some natural beauty in total tranquility.

We stayed at Koh Mueangkarn Paradise View Resort for one night. The raft hotel experience is quite common in this area. The property is a little run down. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely small and walls seemed paper thin. There is no kettle in the room. There is a minibar. The shower is part of the toilette space. Dinner was good and the evening ambience on the raft dining are was really nice. Breakfast was ok. Next time I would look for a separate (larger) raft bungalow. (Not one where all rooms are connected)

The entire hotel floats on the river Kwai where you can be immersed in nature. The family room was as described with a great balcony where you can sit right on the river and relax. They have a special section set aside for swimming which is loads of fun because the flowing river still wants to carry you downstream. The floating restaurant has a good menu and will cater for anything you like. They have a free raft trip in the mornings where they tow a section of the restaurant away - you can still sit and sip coffee! Amazing experience. They even have a zipline cart to carry your luggage down the steep slope to the river.

Breathtaking scenery, very peaceful, comfortable room. The missing piece of paradise! Water rushing past on either side of the room. Amazing. Cons no soap provided, staff indifferent at reception.

Travelling to this area from BKK is quite challenge since, even the presence of g-map, the availability of the cellular provider is not consistently reliable. It is recommended to review the route and stop prior the ride.

The road near the area needs improvement since still gravel and sand due to isolation on the major area.

Room can be selected by raft or by the cottage per your preference. For cottage, were situation the land area where few lizards friends will try the sing for you while you were sleep. As for the raft, depends on the weather, strong flow of the water is expected from time to time.

We enjoyed our stay on the double decker raft where you can choose to drink you ice cold beer while side seeing. Food is delicious alongside with the beer.

Rivercruising is quite challenge due to strong current. Staff needs to undergo training when handling emergency situation arises.

What a wonderful gem in the Thai nature. We travelled easily from Bangkok Thongsi Station via Kanchanaburi to Nam Tok Station. We shared a taxi pick up van with 3 others (our share was Thb 200 each) we were dropped off at the resort. I rated the resort 5 stars because I I always use value for money as criteria. Dinner and breakfast and boat drive on the river is included. Dinner and breakfast was great. We have been coming to Thailand for 20 years and this will be in the top 5

We enjoyed our stay on the raft. Our room was comfortable enough, although you could hear your neighbors quite easily. It might also be unnerving with little children and the river is quite swift and the railing would not keep a child from falling in. There was a slide into the river that was fun.
