Mark creates a very warm and welcoming hostel experience. The rooftop patio has hammocks, dream catchers, tables and games to pass the time with other world travelers. The beds are comfortable. There is water and other amenities in the lobby and the streets are quiet at night.
The hostel itself is located close to good food and historic temples, the river walk to the night market is charming & clean, and there is fun night life that is friendly to travelers (I don't speak a lick of Thai).
10/10 I would love to come back

Awesome hostel. One of the best i have ever stayed at. rooftop with hammocks, sunset view lots of beautiful mosaic and a very nice host that gives you all the good recommendations what to do in the city.

One of the best hostels i have ever been! Mark and mint are really sweet and helpful, they will happily show you all places to visit in and around the city. The place is clean and the rooftop is perfect to chill around and socialize if you feel like it.
It's a 10 minute walk away from the train station and the center where you can find good food and some bars for a drink. Definitely recommended to go here! I booked 1 night and eventually stayed for longer than 2 weeks.

I stayed here and felt very welcomed and at home. Mark is awesome he showed me all the good spots around town and we all got dinner each night. The rooftop is also a vibe to hangout and chat with good company. Highly recommend for backpack travelers who don’t mind being social.

I stayed at Karma Hostel for 10 days and really enjoyed my stay! Mark and Mint are great hosts, truly nice people and very welcoming. The atmosphere in the Karma Hostel is very good and I genuinely met some nice people there. There are lots of things to do in Phitsanulok and the surrounding area, and Mark will give you a great introduction and advice on everything. The town itself is lovely, with its river, local markets, and very friendly people. It really feels like a unique part of Thailand. I definitely recommend!!

Fab hostel to stay at, it has a great rooftop to chill on with hammocks, etc. I stayed in the A/C dorm and was fab! Felt super safe staying here as a solo female traveller.
There’s plenty to do within the area, Mark is super helpful on places to go and eat.

I had an awesome stay at Karma Hostel in Phitsanulok! The vibe is unbeatable—warm, chill, and super welcoming—thanks to the amazing owner, Mark. He’s a genuinely kind host who makes everyone feel at home, sharing local tips from his Thailand know-how and fostering a real sense of community. The place is clean, comfy, and full of charm, making it the perfect spot to relax and connect. I’d highly recommend it to any traveler!

This is my second time staying at the hostel. The host, Mark is an outstanding person overall. He is an amazing host. He would show you around the best spots in town and the best part is the restaurants that he’d bring you to. The hostel is located in the heart of the city of Phitsanulok. You can easily walk to anywhere you want in the town. Name it, restaurants, bars and the market. The hostel’s kitchen is well equipped with tools and utensils for you to cook. The toilets are clean and the hot water is working fine to keep you warm during the cold nights. Would return here again anytime without hesitation. Karma Home Hostel feels like home to me.

Stayed in the private room and in the AC dorm. Both comfortable and pleasant. The rooftop is the perfect hangout spot. Plenty of showers and toilets. Plenty of seating space about. Lots of books. Always new people to meet. The owner keeps everything VERY clean and it was handy being able to leave laundry for him to do

Great social hostel. I have been back to this place like 4 times. The owner of this hostel knows the city and its surroundings very well always having great suggestions on what to do and visit. After exploring the city and its surroundings we would usually go for yummy dinners and sometimes follow up by going to bars or night markets. I can recommend to stay for a few days because Phitsanulok has more to over than you might think and in this hostel you’ll usually find others to visit nearby attractions such as Sukhothai and temples in Petchabun.
