Average location, slightly out of town, but that's quieter. Enter past beautiful manicured garden, large car park....all good so far....until the room itself. Bare, blank, no chair, tried to stop bedside light from falling over, has the bulb ever been wiped clean? Didn't look like it. Looked for extra electric sockets so moved the unit the TV was standing on and WOW! this had not been cleaned behind for months. I found a used Covid facemask, a lanyard, an empty polythene bag and a dried-up frangipani flower - all covered in what appeared to be a thick coating of fluff/dust/and general muck. It's good to keep the place looking polished on top, but don't forget to clean the underneath as well

Fantastic rooms, decor, and grounds in an off the beaten path part of town. Limited local amenities, I found just 2 restaurants open after 6 within 5 Km. Fun French owner with very capable, friendly staff

We booked the Rose room however the room facilities did not match up to the description. There was no tea/coffee making items, no gowns or slippers, the wifi was absolutely rubbish, the toilet seat had 1 hinge completely rusted through( this was replaced when we mentioned it, why they hadn’t replaced it before 8 have no idea, also it was advertised as giving a welcome wine/champagne, this was not forthcoming. They only provided 2 bath towels which were hard, grey and one was torn. The bathroom had a bad smell. Breakfast was not of a great variety, 2 fried eggs, the best we have had this trip, 3 chipolattas, a bit of salad, 2 slices of toast with strawberry jam coffee and a couple of orange.
