The Lantern Hatyai Hotel opened in November 2021. We chose to stay here because we were looking for a new and modern hotel 😄🙂
The hotel features a Chinese-inspired design, with all furniture beautifully decorated in this style. The room is small but cozy and well-organized. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the pillows are just right — perfect for resting both your body and your mind.
The price is affordable, and the location is great, especially since it’s close to the famous and delicious #Manduey Restaurant (definitely a must-try 😋). There are also plenty of lovely spots around the hotel for taking photos.
If you’re planning a trip to Hat Yai, we highly recommend this hotel!

I understand after big flood, they need time to reinstall. The lift was still under maintenance , the hotel was not fully operated. The hotel itself was aged so the bedsheet and facility in the room need more improvement. The best thing of the hotel was located at train station and super convenient to catch tran

A perfect place to stay in Hat Yai. It is right in the centre of the city, close to Kim Yong market.

The staff are so nice, friendly, and helpful, especially Somsa, the cat! Lol, guess she’s the most popular staff there.

The room is spacious and clean. The only thing I don’t like is the light from the A.C. that can be too bright at night, but I could probably just not know how to turn it off.

Will love to go back and visit Somsa again!

i have stayed at this hotel 3 times and will definitely come back in the future. The overall concept and design of the hotel is really nice and the cafe serves affordable and good drinks. I've stayed in both deluxe and suite rooms, both are pretty good and they even provide extra beds if needed. Even during the aftermath of the flood, they have been doing quite well and renovations aren't slow. The staff are also very helpful and friendly, and have been doing a great job since the flood. Also the next door restaurant's (?) cat will often linger around the 1st and 2nd floor, apparently her name is Somsa, she's friendly and will let you pick her up too lol

Cool hotel for a cheap price. This hotel was recommended by my friend and I can totally understand why he keeps on coming back to this hotel. Great location as just a walking distance to Lee Garden, 7E, Watsons and massage place. Facilities are top notch, no complaints from me. The only downside was its not really sound proof as you can always hear people coming in and out of their room and cars motorcycle outside.

Lovely boutique hotel that we will stay at again
1. Price. Got it at around 1600thb which was reasonable
2. Room. Clean, well-decorated (black, chinese classic theme) with all expected amenities. Aircon and water pressure was good
3. Location- downtown with plenty of restaurants nearby
4. Parking- there were about 7 parking spots. We got one so was happy ots provided
5. Staff- Friendly and all great

In general, we thought the overall experience is probably greater than a nearby bigger-brand hotel and cheaper.

The hotel is very worn out. Need to renovate/make good seriously.

1) Lobby Aircond turn off at all time, only on upon request (not welcoming on a hot Sunny day).
2) Late check-in time (3pm) due to late laundry delivery for housekeeping.
3) Very worn out and dirty room (Greyish-white pillow), dusty bed frame and scary toilet.
4) The lift was out of order 2 days for my 4 days stay.
5) Free parking (park at the road site)
6) Smelly carpet at the walkway before entering room.
7) The room fridge is off when you leave the hotel room along with the room key.
8) My sincere experience on (17th September 2025).

If you need to catch the early train it's very affordable with great location. There's a lot of tuktuk nearby, you can always catch them to go anywhere. The hotel receptionist allow us to put our bags at the lobby as we arrived early than the check in time. The family room was big enough for 4 of us.
