SakSukSmile Resort in Sukhothai

We really liked this place, and found it very god value for money. The hotel is modern and very clean, with excellent facilities in the room and a really great bathroom (central hot water system and hot water in the basin!). The photos on Trip.com are representative. Staff speak good English and were very helpful. Its about 2km from the Historical Park (Old City) and the hotel will rent you bikes so you can ride in. There is also a shuttle bus and a stop nearby. There are several nearby restaurants and the one we tried was quite good. Only disadvantage is that there isn't any nice area for guests to sit around in, and the hotel is right on the main road which is busy and noisy. It does quieten down overnight, and didn't disturb our sleep.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from Sukhothai Historical Park, but still within reasonable distance. Given that the sidewalks aren't in the best condition, taking a Grab might be more comfortable. This is a small, family-run hotel, which contributes to its very friendly atmosphere, and the staff speak English. They offer bike rentals, though at 180cm tall, I found them a bit small. Our room was clean, and the shower and toilet worked without any issues. While the hotel doesn't serve meals, there are several local eateries nearby. Plus, the gas station next door has a convenience store if you need to grab some simple food items.

Overall, excellent! The bedding was clean, and the interior felt fresh and well-maintained. My only very minor quibble would be with the large shower head, which didn't spray water properly. Definitely recommend.

The hotel is located about 2km from the Old Town. Our room was quite spacious, and the cleanliness was decent. The only major downside was that we frequently found termites in the room at night. The hotel provides bicycles, which were quite handy for getting to the Old Town. However, a word of caution: make sure you're back at the hotel before dark, as the roads around the hotel have no streetlights, and it can be quite dangerous navigating in the pitch black.

The room was easy to find, conveniently located right by the road and close to the historical park. The owner was lovely and welcoming, and the room itself was spotlessly clean.
