Rajthani Hotel in Surat Thani City

Don't think twice about booking this gem of a hotel! 💎 For US$16 a night, it is better than some hotels 3x its price. Great central location, close to night market, river, temples, and the Phantip Travel agency that has transport to airport, Khao Sok and other destinations. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with AC, wifi, and a small fridge. Lobby is cute, modern, and inviting. Staff were courteous and could speak English. So glad I stayed here for a stopover night and would highly recommend it!

Very okay hotel considering the cheap price that is conveniently placed right next to Surat Thani bus station so it is very easy access from the airport.
Night market is just behind the corner and couple restaurants, cafes and bars are also close.
Beds are very hard.

The hotel left mixed but generally acceptable impressions: nothing outstanding, but also nothing critical that would stop from staying there again. It is a normal option for a short stay if expectations are not too high.

The room was of average size, with basic furniture and standard amenities; everything functioned, but some details felt a bit dated and could use a refresh. Cleaning was okay overall, although a bit more attention to small details would make the stay more comfortable.

The location is convenient enough for getting around the area, but it is not the most picturesque or quiet spot, so it works more as a practical base than a place to spend a lot of time on the property. Noise levels were acceptable, though at times it was possible to hear other guests or sounds from outside.

Staff were generally polite and tried to be helpful, but the service was not always consistent, and at busy times responses could be slow. Communication in English was possible, though sometimes required a bit of patience and repetition.

In summary, this hotel can be a reasonable choice if the priority is price and location rather than high comfort or design. With a few improvements in maintenance and service, the overall experience could become much better.

A functional hotel providing clean rooms good facilities. Great location near night markets a great array of restaurants and transport including ferry company offices.
While no breakfast next door provides a western style breakfast at discount for hotel guests.
We chose to eat local fabulous selection of cuisines especially tasty is southern Thai food.

Staff helpful. A choice of good hire car companies especially close by.

A Michelin badged nice market stall nearby.. a short walk to the picturesque river Chinese temples and Thai Wats.

Very conveniently located close to the night food market and the centre of Surat Thani town. Easily accessible by cabs and only 30 minutes from airport. Clean, functional rooms. Only thing is mattress and pillow cab be a little softer.

It was only a one-night stay as part of our transfer to the island, and I was a little apprehensive. It turned out I was completely wrong – the room was large and had three beds, plus it was in a great location for onward travel. It's not a super-comfortable resort, but I expected less than what we got. The price-to-quality ratio was excellent!

Great location and plenty of parking. The place is good value for money, with nice quality and friendly service. I really liked the lobby, and there’s a café with good food and drinks as well. Overall, a pleasant stay.
