Budget hotel with low price and standards to match.
Booked this Hotel for one night due to our usual hotel being fully booked for one night of our holiday, due to the Ubon Candle Festival.
Usual price of this hotel is around £17 per night and this obvious reflects in the standard of the hotel. Due to one night of the Candle Festival all hotels in the area increase their pricing so we paid around £52 for the one night. (Usually can get you a four star room in Ubon)

I was not expecting too much from this hotel, knowing it was a budget option. The hotel has a private car park at street level where unusally the welcome desk is also situated. The owners/staff are friendly but dont speak much English. There are three floors but no lift, we were allocated the twin room on the third floor so was a good workout getting up the stairs with the suitcase. :)

The stairwell/corridors are not air-conditioned so very warm, and at each landing there is a washing machine for guests to use. The corridors resembled the set from Prisoner Cell Block H with bars on the internal windows, I was expecting to see Charles Bronson to pop out of one of the doors to head to the exercise yard.

The room doors are key only (not electronic). On opening the room door the initial impression was basic but clean (after all this is a £17 a night room). However, as we ventured into the room, the standard of cleanliness was noticiably worse. There were cobwebs which had not been cleared, and worse still, the toilet seat had not been cleaned properly (or maybe at-all) from Mr poopy pants who stayed previously.

The room has an air-con unit and a fan which done a decent job of cooling the room eventually, however the humming of the air con unit was a little loud but not excessive.

The bed sheets and pillow cases seemed washed but could still see old staining on the pillow cases, which was a bit off-putting. The mattress are harder than Chuck Norris on steroids, and there are no duvets, just a fleece blanket.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel unless you are on a very low budget and don’t mind a hostel type environment.
