No good location. Definitely need a car. No elevator !
Much better places available in Ubon for same price or even lower !

The accommodation wasn't very impressive, but the food was delicious and there was a good selection. The location was good, near the main road and a 7-Eleven, making it convenient to find food nearby.

The hotel is located 15 minutes from Ubon Airport in a really good location. Several shops are within walking distance, as well as street food and a few restaurants. The hotel itself is fine for a few days; the rooms are clean but a bit dated. Breakfast is mostly Thai, but you can also order omelets or egg dishes if you don't fancy Thai food for breakfast. Overall, my stay was very good for a short time, and I would book it again.

Helpful and friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Plenty of parking. Good location. Many good food shops are a short walk away. The building is old and the systems are not well designed. Hot water is unstable either too hot or not hot at all. Water pressure is sometimes low and water is not clear and sometimes has an odor. WiFi is not secure so you need to use a VPN or risk compromising your personal information. The balcony on the second floor is covered so you can not see out. No elevator. Not a good value for the price.

The hotel should change the mattress and bed sheet. It’s too soft like it has been used more than 10 years. The air-con compressor is a bit loud. For the service, it’s nice. For amenities, I don’t expect to be luxurious. It’s okay.

I stayed twice at Pen Ta Hug as a solo traveller for one night each. The staff are lovely and the place is very good value for money, with spacious, clean rooms and a warm breakfast (just be prepared for few vegetarian options – I managed). It is in a quiet area and close to a 7-11 and Lotus’s.
Can definitely recommend for short stays, and imagine it could be a good base for a couple if you either have a car or are happy to take long walks or taxis, depending on what brings you to Ubon.
