The room looked exactly like the pictures – spacious and clean. The air conditioning worked great, providing a comfortable stay. One thing to note is that the curtains aren't very effective at blocking out light; it was still quite bright during the day (as shown in the picture). This might be an issue for guests who like to sleep in or are sensitive to light. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, which was a big plus for the hotel.
Overall, it's a great value-for-money hotel. If I come back to Udon Thani, I would definitely choose to stay here again.
Roofed parking lot.
The street outside was quiet at night, unlike the livelier surroundings of Centara. Which, on some nights, I could still hear music from nearby pubs until around 3 a.m.
The room door at Clay Udon might need better soundproofing — on my last night, I could even hear my neighbour snoring!
Thankfully, I always pack earplugs, so overall, the stay was still comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. I wouldn’t mind staying here again, especially since it’s slightly more affordable than Centara.
