At the meeting, I had to pay an incomprehensible commission of 80 UAH, although I didn’t say a word about this when booking. At the entrance and on guest cards the inscription "numbers from 350 UAH" is replete with, but in the price list the price tag starts from 500+.
The location of the "hotel" is disgusting, you cannot immediately find it - at the entrance there is a huge inscription "Hotel Tokyo", only on the side door was the inscription "Hotel Steam Locomotive". The area is more than disgusting. Especially at night it’s very scary to go: there are a lot of homeless people and other suspicious people around. In general, it is difficult to find a more disgusting hostel.
Starting from the moment of our arrival at the "hotel", the receptionist, who had not yet listened to us, said that we should pay at the current prices, as if they were changing daily, depending on the client's appearance. Then it was more fun, she looked for our reservation for about half an hour and did not find it, since we had receipts for payment with us, which accelerated the whole process. After that, we had to wait until 14.30, instead of the stated check-in time at 14.00, to get the key to the "room". And then it started: when we entered the room, we felt a wild stench, it turns out that we have a broken sewer pipe and feces are spreading across the floor of the room. Instead of settling, we expected a plumber, because They did not have free other numbers, which was not surprising, given such a level of "service".
After about an hour, the leak was eliminated, and the fetid odor and the contents of the sewer still remained on the floor. No one came to the repeated calls to the maid through the administrator, the cleaning lady had to be caught independently and literally dragged to the room by force, after which abuse and threats rained down at us, and the administrator simply left, as if it were her problems.
On the cries of this grief, the cleaning lady came running to the security and other guests, as a result, under duress, waving a dirty rag a couple of times, she said that everything was cleaned. This is not all, the TV does not work, there is a terrible stench of rotten fish from the refrigerator, and the bed linen and towels are simply dirty, they have not been changed after the last guests, other people's hair is on the bed !!!
The number does not coincide in any way with the photographs that were published on the website of the Tokyo-star hotel. It is impossible to turn around in double rooms! In fact, this is not a living space at all, but just a former hangar of a tram depot, which has been converted into a hotel. There are doubts that people can be settled here at all. There are three hotels in this building: Tokyo Star; Steam locomotive and Crocodile, but in fact all this is one pitiful office! He is simply hiding apparently from taxes or anti-advertising that is constantly being written about them.
The staff is frostbitten! Nobody wants to do anything, they don't understand normally, only if they swear at them, they begin to move a little. The bed was never changed for us, and even for the whole week they never took out the garbage. Since the administrator personally gives out garbage bags to the cleaners, the bags are according to the number of keys issued, and this is done only after the guests have been evicted! But upon settling they demanded to pay a deposit of 300 UAH. Where has this ever been seen, what other collateral ???
Total for a week stay there:
- We witnessed 2 thefts, to which the administration and the guards refused to respond, telling the guests that they were to blame ...
- Doubtful people are constantly present on the territory of the hotel, what they do, what they trade, one can only guess, but they have unhindered access everywhere.
- In the so-called buffet, flies fly, and the frostbitten barmaid is touching all the products with dirty hands.
- Luggage storage of the hotel, as it turned out, exists for a fee
- Hairdryer and iron in one copy exist for the entire hotel, so you need to order their use in advance.
- "Breakfast" is generally a separate topic, it is stupidly absent, all that is given is tea and two cheesecakes or two pancakes of dubious origin. The barmaids are often absent and the guests stand in crowds in the corridor, wasting their time, and so every day!
- In the evening you can watch girls of easy virtue arrive at the hotel
- One of the guests had problems with the car, which was parked right in front of the hotel entrance, to which the administration also replied that they were not responsible for this
- People are not refunded their bail upon eviction, accusing them of soiling towels or sheets, it's generally a practice to fool people!
- Instead of an air conditioner, a hole in the ceiling, it's cold at night and hot during the day
- On the day of our departure there was a fight in the lobby, apparently, someone got tired of listening to a blizzard from the administration.
Conclusion: the worst hotel in Odessa! I do not recommend staying here even for one night.
There is no door between the toilet and the room, only a small curtain. And from the toilet to the sink and to the shower, no more than 20cm.
If initially we had been warned about this horror, then we would have taken a different room, or even better, a different hotel. The contingent of the hotel is appropriate - when they were checked out, they saw lovely gentlemen with fumes and bruises under their eyes. Some were given empty bottles.
When checking in, you must pay a deposit of 300 hryvnia (or hand over the documents), witnessed how, after handing over the keys, the security guard found some kind of "stain" on a towel or bed for which you need to leave a deposit or pay a fine of 300 hryvnia, then read other reviews, this is common practice in this "hotel", but we were carried away, but the deposit was given with a creak, reluctantly.
Since most of the rooms do not have windows, the extractor hood works and it hums a lot at night.
In general, if you are a student, a young stress-resistant person without children, who cannot be scared by the conditions for animals, then go ahead
And yet - to flush in the toilet, you need to try at least 5 times.
In general, the hotel is recommended - it offers one of the lowest prices, is excellent and the rooms are acceptable when you just need to come, wash and rest until the morning.
