very noisy with construction and too hot in the room but overall was fine
It was a one night stay for work and was clean, had a comfy bed fresh towels and did the job you'd expect it to do. Not the most luxurious hotel but provides good value for money!

Ideal stay in Newcastle, everything we needed. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again :-)
Excellent hotel fantastic helpful reception 👍
The room this time I stay is quite bigger than my last stay, it was good. Down point would be the dirty kettle, really really dirty, hopefully it will get the deep clean. The hotel staff is alright, nothing stand out. Overall it was a good place to stay.

Newcastle upon Tyne, Baron House Neville Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The location is perfect, the staff are great and the service is as spectacular. We had a fantastic experience at this location.
Very firendly & professional staff throughout. Informative & provided detailed advice on the local area. Room was very clean, practical & has all that you would require for a city stopover. Hotel is located just across the road from the train station & at the foot of town. Near many many restaurants, bars, activities etc. Woukd highly recommend for those looking for an ideal location for singles...
Perfect location, checked in early with no problems. Close to the centre of Newcastle. Lovely breakfast. All brilliant for such a good price
Customer service was wonderful as per usual. Room was clean and tidy. Staff friendly and welcoming. The location is convenient to everything and the breakfast buffet was top tier. This will always be my go to hotel.
It's a very well-located hotel. It's right across from the train station The cleaning service is excellent. But I must complain about the fact that there are no bottled water, no slippers, no shower caps in the room for guests.
An amazing stay at Hampton by Hilton Newcastle! The location is unbeatable—just 2-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station, and only 10 minutes to Quayside and St. James’ Park, super convenient for travel and sightseeing. The free hot breakfast was fantastic, with fresh waffles, classic English breakfast and even porridge, perfect for all tastes. The room was clean, quiet and cozy, with a comfy bed...

Newcastle upon Tyne, Waterloo Square St James Boulevard (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We booked this hotel for its location near to both the railway station and Utilita Arena and it was perfect. Staff friendly, breakfast included. One point to note re parking which isn’t free (you only get 15 mins free to check in) - parking is in the Grainger Town car park and cost us about £30 for less than 2 days. Double beds are quite small but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
Excellent location. Service was great and lovely staff too.
We're staying 2 nights here before easter break. Location is absolutely great, just few minutes from central station, across it is life science centre. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is clean. I would recommend to my friends.
Very fairly priced, breakfast included. Staff were attentive and helpful. Would recommend.
Excellent over night stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Rooms clean, shower powerful and staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast tasty. If staying in Newcastle again I would definitely stay there.
The hotel's location is excellent and convenient, with nice views. The front desk staff were patient and welcoming. The room was quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. I'll definitely book this place again next time I'm in town.

Stayed here a few weeks ago and had a lovely time. Staff are very nice and friendly and room was great. 10/10
We have used this particular hotel a few times now the staff are always friendy and welcoming the rooms are always clean and tidy the beds are so so comfy it is true what the advert says you do get a good nights sleep the breakfast room does get a little busy but the staff cope well and there is always a warm welcome and we always find something to eat we will deffo be returning to holystone
Kind staff, decent breakfast, tired bathrooms. rooms feel dated. Has a motel vibe, close to the highway, yet quiet in my room (facing the yard). Bathroom is worn, water damaged panels, some parts looks like they are in need of a urgent refurb. Ventilation in the bathroom stops after minutes of turning off the lights, so humidity is high and towels take a long time to dry No heating in the bathroom...
It was a lovely hotel very clean warming and room was amazing staff very friendly and welcoming aswell nothing was a problem for them
Breakfast now served onsite. £10.99 a head. Cooked options good. However pastries ran out when it was busy and when asked staff to replace, we had to wait 18 minutes cooking time. We feel staffing levels were to blame as one chef in kitchen and one young man trying to Replace items/ take names on those arriving/ and clearing tables. Once he had help things improved slightly. We feel breakfast was over...
This is a lovely Premier Inn. So close to the A19 but quiet. The staff were friendly. There is a Wetherspoons next door which is convenient - especially for an evening meal. We made two visits to this hotel in December - a good stopping off place between London and Scotland for journeys north and south. On the first visit we walked into town for a lovely Italian meal. Used the Wetherspoons on the...

Excellent hotel, great service from both reception and the bar staff. Nothing too much. Would willingly stay again.
Can’t thank the staff enough for letting me park my motorbike in the staff carpark when I had broken down
Very cheap hotel on Newcastle airport.Ideal for an overnight stay for an early flight.Rooms spotless and friendly staff. If you are looking for luxury it,s not for you.
Location is excellent for early morning flights and price per night
Perfect for an overnight stopover prior to flying. Very good value for money and a few minutes walk from departures

You know what you're going to get with a Premier Inn, they're super reliable and we've never had a bad experience. We were travelling to Edinburgh and were looking for somewhere to split the journey up and found this. Its recently been refurbished and our room had definitely just been done, bathroom was spotless and everything where it should be! Breakfast is served in 'The Social' which was part...
We were very pleased with our two-day stay at the hotel. The Premier Inn Plus rooms are very well equipped – a coffee maker, refrigerator, and hot chocolate are just a few of the many surprises for a budget hotel. But above all, it's worth noting the very high level of cleanliness in the rooms and bathrooms. The service was excellent – the receptionist was smiling and knowledgeable. Thank you, we...
It was such a lovely stay here. The beds were really comfy and the rooms felt cozy and welcoming. I also want to mention how amazing Sharon on reception is — she was so accommodating and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The only downside for us was the breakfast social place on bank holiday monday. Kathleen, who was working there, was absolutely lovely. She was kind, helpful...
Margaret at breakfast is just fabulous, nothing is too much trouble. Gent on reception was so welcoming and friendly on check in. Room spotless and fresh. Parking is no problem. Fab, convenient place to stay.
All the team were amazing very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and was cooked well.
I have been staying here for 3 months now on business. Refurbished great staff and rooms are spotless. Nothing is to much trouble.

Great stay in the Gray Street Hotel. Easy to walk to from the train station and in a great spot for exploring the city centre. Staff were friendly and room was nice.
Had an amazing stay here at the Lord Collingwood suite. Room was clean, tidy, well presented and had ample soap, shower gel, tea, coffee etc. The only minor issue was hair left in the bathtub after the previous guest. Although I understand housekeepers do miss these little things, it is still a necessity to ensure no hair or dirt is left in the bathroom. The location is fantastic; very close to the...
Great location and value. Hotel is an ideal base for shopping, food & drinks and is just down from the Theatre.
Great hotel, good location central to lots restaurants, pubs, cafes. Close to train station too. Hotel room spotlessly clean and breakfast very good. We will definitely be back.
Great experience, starting from being accommodated upon our early arrival at the hotel. Our second floor room had great views down over Grey Street and the Grey Street Hotel was the perfect base for exploring this vibrant city. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious and staff everywhere around the hotel were really friendly and helpful. Would totally stay here again.
One of the best hotels in the city

Overall ok, Room was fine for the £50 we paid, We wouldnt want to pay more though, Beds really comfy, shower a bit dribbly, Next to the runway if you like that sort of thing, I loved it, Staff were generally pleasant, Food AWFUL so avoid eating there, try to plan something else if you can, We didnt have my car and we were catching an early flight so we needed a bite before bed however we Won't again...
My daughter, my friend and I stayed 1 night at the end of March as we were flying early from Newcastle. We had a family room which I was a bit worried about, but my friend slept on one single & said it was very comfy, my daughter was happy on the other. The rooms were cosy with extra beds but we had enough room to move about and it was a nice quiet sleep. We arrived in the evening, parked in airport...
Great location for airport.Easy check in.Warm, clean room with a comfortable bed.Food and drink in bar/restaurant was very nice. My big disappointment was that we were given room 89 on the 3rd floor which is the furthest room from the entrance. We were staying for ONE night only with an early flight the following morning 530am and we are two 60+ adults with two heavy cases and bags to carry in/out.The...
Overall worth the money. Food is terrible and very expensive would advise to take your own and check the prices for parking
The location was great, few minutes from the airport. Great for transfer/ early flight! Recommended

An unusual concept for hotel but a good one. Lovely to park right outside own room. Very comfortable, hot water and an amazing breakfast with the best scrambled eggs ever had in a hotel.
Great room, very clean. Courteous staff, from reception to the bar and restaurant. Being able to park right outside the room was fantastic. Would stay again. Recommended.
Clean, comfortable, warm room, a bit of updating would make it fautless. Restaurant modern and tastefully decorated, food was delicious and generous sized portions, the apple and plum crumble was a delight. Special mention to Claire our waitress who took excellent care of us.
A good 3 nights stay despite the cold weather. The Premier room was just as expected from the pictures, comfortable, clean and warm, once the radiator was turned on, and quiet. Only downside was the noisy cold water tap and toilet refill. The breakfast was really nice, with plenty of choice, and the evening meals also good, helped by the friendly and helpful staff. Glad we didn't stay in the centre...
Large, clean rooms, super quiet at night; comfy bed, slightly tired decor but well-equipped. Excellent staff, always available, very friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant and great breakfast.
The room was spacious clean and lots of little extras like slippers bathrobes toothbrush and paste in little pack. Staff were very helpful friendly and courteous. Food was delicious I had slow braised beef stew and dumplings would highly recommend it. Would definitely stay again when in that area.

Whites Hotel, Newcastle upon Tyne1 / 13

Newcastle upon Tyne, 38-42 Osborne Road (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Fairly standard twin room. Décor and facilities a bit dated perhaps but clean and quite acceptable for one night stay or weekend away. Continental breakfast little more than bread and cereal. Busy local bar on ground floor. 10 minutes from nearest Metro or perhaps 25-30 from the city centre.
The room is large, with an independent bathroom, and two small single beds. The beds are very soft. There is a bar downstairs, which may be noisy at night. There is free parking at the hotel, and a 50 pound deposit is required.
I've stayed at White's Hotel before. It's in a nice area and my room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
Depends what you want. We just needed somewhere to stay over after a concert. The downstairs is a massive loud bar, very popular with young folk. But upstairs, in the hotel rooms, you hear the noise less, and bar closes at 11pm. Hotel is rather shabby, but rooms are fine and have what you need. There’s a £50 deposit against damage. Staff were brilliant, really nice. Basic breakfast in a bag, as part...
It’s really hard to stay in a hotel in the UK at this price, so there shouldn’t be any requirements for anything else.
The service was very good. They also helped with luggage. The stay was comfortable, which was good.

I was very pleased with this hotel. Easy to find & a short walk from West Jesmond metro in a fantastic part of Newcastle. Had everything I needed and more than I expected. The fan on an unusually hot day was perfect along with iron and ironing board. Pleasant room, clean and tidy and I liked how I didn't need to worry about carrying keys or gaining access out of hours as it's entirely key pad access...
Along a road with many hotels, the Jesmond is far enough away from the noisy ones to get a good night’s sleep…. Pretty basic - no breakfast - and the rooms not large, but had everything I needed, was clean, and good value for money… would stay again..
I was really nervous about staying here based on the reviews - in which I didn't notice until after I booked - I will be honest I had a couple of sleepless nights being unable to cancel and rebook. We stayed in a room for three, the small triple room. Before arrival, I received an email with the codes to the front and back door and our room code. It is a self service hotel with no staff. It was really...
Spend there 1 night with my family in November 2019 - was really nice. Rooms very clean and comfy. Breakfast really nice. The area was also nice and interesting. Jesmond metro station is around 10min away by foot so it’s ideal. The only downside is a small car park at the rear of the hotel. Really small if you have a large car especially a SUV 4x4 but we managed ;-) thanks
Stayed here 1 night in a double room. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean, had a TV, tea and coffee and a bathroom with shower. Location was great, short walk to plenty of bars and restaurants in Jesmond. We had breakfast in the morning, there was a good selection of cereals and hot food (but no meat). Check out was very quick and easy. Only downsides I would say the bed wasn't very comfortable...
Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms are small but clean. Bathroom is a wet room which is not to my taste. Staff are very friendly and do all they can to make you welcome. good selection at breakfast.

Room was good condition the heating didn't work, breakfast was included but it took over a hour to get a sausage cob and there wasn't much else
Enjoyed my stay all staff extremely helpful and so welcoming would definitely stay in this hotel again Thank you for making my stay comfortable:)
Stayed for 2 nights. Room was not made or cleaned. Had to exchange towels myself. Arranged breakfast for 9am next morning but then when I came down it was made for 8am and my wife couldn't eat hers due to meat being put in the sandwich despite it being specified that only egg should be there. Address is wrong since entrance is a different road and hard to find. Also no contact phone number for the...

Staff were very nice, property was a bit dated and could have been cleaner
Rooms were clean and comfy, good for the price. Friendly staff at the front desk. Note, there can be a bit of noise from the bar downstairs but that usually goes round 12 so didn't bother me much but if you need an early night might be annoying.
Stayed here on a Saturday evening. As I just needed somewhere to stay over night. All the other well known hotels locally were coming back twice as much in price. So I thought what the hell book this it's loads cheaper. What a correct decision!!! Hotel was brilliant for the money. Staff really friendly, Ideally located, Rooms clean and comfy, Would definitely stay again or recommend. Cheers neil
I booked this hotel for it's closeness to the Metro Shopping Centre and ease of travel from the centre of Newcastle. Both were perfect and as advertised. I did not arrive at the hotel until 7pm. In the Dark found it to look very derelict and not in use. There were no lights downstairs and the windows and curtains look very dirty and tatty. The front door was locked and it took a few attempts, at...
Old and dated but you do pay for what you get... economy rooms but kept clean and tidy by Vicky.. good bar area with a good selection of drinks. Good location in Gateshead for our works digs.. would stay again if working in the area again.......
We needed a place to stay at short notice whilst we visited our daughter who lives very close to this hotel. The room was dated, and there was little water pressure in the shower but otherwise a good size and very well equipped. It was more than adequate given the price we were charged for our two night stay. The staff are lovely and made us feel very welcome in the bar. I would stay here again

Location was excellent, next to the train station. The cosy room would definitely not be my choice again. Ok if travelling on your own, but as a couple not ideal. Breakfast was the best I have ever experienced. Staff all friendly. Will definitely want to stay in this hotel if I ever went to Newcastle again.
Staff very friendly and the location was great, but noisy in and out of the hotel, and the shower was cold. But a beautiful building.
Old hotel with very good location. However facilities may need upgrade. Gym etc need extra £5/day.
Perfect location for exploring the city. Right next to the train station. The hotel looked after our cases so we could enjoy more time exploring. Room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located next to Newcastle Central station minutes from the Cathedral, the Castle, the centre of the city near Monument. The hotel entrance has a faded grandeur that isn't intimidating, more comfortably worn. The room was cosy with bathtub and shower. The WiFi was a little temperamental but works fine. A plus for me was the pool and spa facilities at the hotel. Nothing better than a swim...
Great location, next to train station. Fab pool to use. Room was rather chilly. But a heater was sent up to keep us warm.
