Beautiful hotel and lovely staff but the room cleanliness was not up to standard also having to pay £7 each extra to use pool etc was a surprise

What a perfect location for a flight from Newcastle.. The room was massive , beautiful bedding, fridge , kettle , coffee etc and a delicious complimentary cookie when we checked in. We ate in the Italian restaurant where the waiter and waitresses were so smiley and helpful. Wonderful service . We’ll be back for certain

Great location with walking to metro and airport. Good room with useful fridge. Also Iron and heated towel rail. Gym is also useful.  Bathroom a bit cramped and shower door lets water across bathroom floor

Room was very tired. This use to be a lovely hotel but now, from our recent experience, it’s very much fur coat and no knickers. Everything was perfectly fine — the breakfast was very tasty and well prepared, and an additional highlight was the beautiful view of the river, which made the morning truly special and enjoyable.

This was a great hotel and I LOVED the views from our corner "Townhouse" (essentially a large 1 bedroom apartment). I wish it had a microwave. Also those who walk around should note that riverside location means uphill walk to main town. Walking along the river was wonderful though.

The room was nice, the view was great, and the breakfast was good too. The only downside was the lack of privacy in the bathroom, which was a bit awkward; a curtain would be a good idea. The location is a little inconvenient if you're walking the whole way without taking a taxi, but overall it was good!

Well what started as a bad experience was quickly sorted by the excellent staff. We won a nights stay at the INNSiDE Newcastle and on our way driving up we got a call from the PR agency saying there was a mis-communication and we actually had no room to stay in. The room this time I stay is quite bigger than my last stay, it was good. Down point would be the dirty kettle, really really dirty, hopefully it will get the deep clean. The hotel staff is alright, nothing stand out. Overall it was a good place to stay.

Very slow check in Only one person at reception dealing with with check-ins, phone calls, staff etc. at the bar late in the evening when we returned for a drink after our meal no waiting staff ! We had to q and carry our drinks to the table.

It takes around 15 min to walk to the central station. Really excellent view beside the river. Very good soundproof and quiet. Good hot water. But there is no ventaliation in the bathroom.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Especially Sam on reception. Went out of his way to help resolve an issue not related to hotel. Had dinner at hotel which was very nice and good value. The only downfall was the cooked breakfast was lukewarm, with bacon cold.

Arrived very early and asked if we could store our bag. The receptionist, who was friendly and efficient, allocated us a room right away. Great views over the river and the food from the restaurant was lovely. Within a short walk of the are arena, train station and shops. Will most certainly book again.

Heating not working the room is cold. When you take shower the water coming slow, drainage for water not going through. TV is old no apps you can't pair your devices. They need renovation on their room. The place is good but the hotel is too old

It's a very well-located hotel. It's right across from the train station The cleaning service is excellent. But I must complain about the fact that there are no bottled water, no slippers, no shower caps in the room for guests.

Quiet location next to the river, the hotel seems old but everything was clean and fully functional, the rooms are huge. But when I asked for toothbrush , the staff told us we can get it from the vending machine in the hotel, but the vending machine was broken and seems like the staff didn’t know which was a bit disappointing.

The hotel is in the city of Newcastle, the location is very good, the hotel staff is very enthusiastic, helping with luggage, very gentlemanly, very satisfied during the stay, the room is large, clean and tidy

We booked this hotel for its location near to both the railway station and Utilita Arena and it was perfect. Staff friendly, breakfast included. One point to note re parking which isn’t free (you only get 15 mins free to check in) - parking is in the Grainger Town car park and cost us about £30 for less than 2 days. Double beds are quite small but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

We're staying 2 nights here before easter break. Location is absolutely great, just few minutes from central station, across it is life science centre. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is clean. I would recommend to my friends.

Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clear and the food was good. My only critisicm would be the Gym and Spa facilities. The poolside was dirty as people had used their outdoor footwear to walk into the pool. The gym equipment was very dated but functional.

We have used this particular hotel a few times now the staff are always friendy and welcoming the rooms are always clean and tidy the beds are so so comfy it is true what the advert says you do get a good nights sleep the breakfast room does get a little busy but the staff cope well and there is always a warm welcome and we always find something to eat we will deffo be returning to holystone

Fairly standard twin room. Décor and facilities a bit dated perhaps but clean and quite acceptable for one night stay or weekend away. Continental breakfast little more than bread and cereal. Busy local bar on ground floor. 10 minutes from nearest Metro or perhaps 25-30 from the city centre.

The room is large, with an independent bathroom, and two small single beds. The beds are very soft. There is a bar downstairs, which may be noisy at night. There is free parking at the hotel, and a 50 pound deposit is required.

It’s really hard to stay in a hotel in the UK at this price, so there shouldn’t be any requirements for anything else.
