We were looking for a place to stay in Seward during our recent Alaska adventure earlier this month, and I'm so glad that we found Bell in the Woods. When we arrived after an arduous drive in the rain, there were baked goods, as well as coffee and tea, waiting for us (which they do on a regular basis). Our room was very clean and comfortable. The two breakfasts that we had were exceptional. And it was a short drive (roughly 10 minutes) to downtown Seward. If we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again (which might be likely considered how much my wife and I enjoyed this trip), we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Here they deliver as advertised. Stay if you enjoy communing with other guests and staff. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The B&B is in the temperate rainforest and a few steps from the river. We stayed in the Mt. Marathon room which is the largest aside from the apartment-type rooms. It has a comfy king size bed, spacious bathroom, 2 side chairs and plenty of places to either hang or store clothes and luggage. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. A coffee/tea station is available all day along with home-baked cookies and muffins. The other indoor and outdoor seating areas are welcoming. While inviting, we didn't take advantage of the outdoor patio due to weather.

We had a fantastic stay at Bell in the Woods. The location is just a few minutes outside of Seward and very quiet. The owner was very accommodating, allowing us to check-in a little early and providing us an early breakfast so that we could make it to our glacier tour. Our room was modern, clean, neat, and updated. We had plenty of room to relax and enjoyed the quiet nights. Breakfast is delicious--three courses of gourmet home-cooked food that keeps you going all morning long. We definitely recommend a stay here while visiting Seward.

Our first B&B experience and they’ve set the bar high. 5 star service from start to finish. Amazing and comfortable rooms, close to everything, great for walking for exercise, and blackout curtains!! The 3 course breakfast, everything homemade, was out of this world. 10/10 recommendz

Cozy bed and breakfast about five to ten minutes outside of Seward. We stayed in the Mt Eva Suite on the ground floor and it was like our own little apartment. Nice three course breakfast to start our day with a 7,8,9am time available. Owner is friendly and hospitable. Great stay!

For the first time in MY LIFE I was kicked out of a Hotel, my family was visiting Alaska for the first time, they don't speak English well, we arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check-in just to see the location, we asked in the main lobby if we could go to our room and a girl who worked there even guided us to our room, we went in and 15 mins later this lady who said she was the owner showed up in the room without even knocking the door, I was checking the temperature when she opened the door and started yelling at me that we could not touch anything and that my reservation was at 3 o'clock, she told us that if we damaged anything she was sure we would not be able to pay, she told us to leave and that she did not want to have "people like us" in her establishment. All my life traveling around the world and the first time I have been kicked out of a place is where I live, Alaska. I wouldn't have said anything if the problem hadn't felt personal.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast, approximately 10 minutes drive from the centre of Seward. We stayed in the Mount Marathon Guestroom, which was very comfortable, spotless and with en suite bathroom. Breakfast was superb! It was great to have complimentary coffee and fabulous homemade cakes available throughout the day - the white chocolate cookies and cupcakes are not to be missed!
