A beautiful hotel but lacking in amenities. Service was unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was great except the waiters kept forgetting/ignoring our requests and displayed slight signs of ******. We walked into our room one morning after breakfast to see the cleaning lady there so we greeted her but she ignored us and continued to clean our room. There was a lot of hammering noises outside...

It was pretty good and really quiet. I tried two or three different room types.

The hotel has an old-money, Spanish style; it's very elegant and located in the town of Pasadena, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The guests were all white, and the restaurant prices were reasonable. It's quite refined.

Food was good, service was great.  I hope to go again to fully enjoy the amenities available that I was not able to use this time.

Satisfied, good hygiene, good attitude, safe, will come again next time

Plenty of parking, free coffee and water until 10pm. Included breakfast had hot items like eggs, sausage or bacon, and potatoes, waffle machine and continental breakfast items. Room was pretty good size. About a 10 minute walk to the Metro and shopping plazas. Good value for price.

Never fails...front desk staff are second to none and very attentive to customer needs.

It felt like a motel, but not unsafe. There were hairs on the towels, and the coffee and water dispensers in the lobby smelled like detergent. I've stayed at hotels in the same group over a dozen times, but this was the first time I'd experienced a distinct detergent smell, and it was the group's standard detergent.

The cleanliness was clearly done to the best of their ability. A staff member was very welcoming at breakfast, greeting all guests like a landlady. It felt like an Airbnb. Their professionalism is commendable. The overall appearance is rather low-end, like a motel. There's absolutely no soundproofing; you can hear anything. After all, it's advertised as a two-star hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying...

The hotel was ok. I wasn't happy that she put me right next to the housekeeper room, but after the inital check in I never saw or heard them again. Parking is a little tight there. The second night I came back to pick up something from my room before heading out to dinner. There were a group of men standing in the parking lot talking loud. I made the remark that it looked like they were playing...

Loved it!! Clean, quiet, very lovely room! We felt safe in the area. The outside was well maintained & very nice. Would highly recommend!

Staff was amazing! Super helpful and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Ideal location, easy walk to Colorado blvd and downtown Pasadena. Room was clean and everything you need.

Room had dirty curtains, but overall was clean and spaceous. Parking was great! Staff was nice and easy to talk to. Breakfast ended earlier than I personally would have liked, but I'm not normally awake before 9am. Great location and decent pricing. Felt safe, had nearby food locations for restaurants and grocery locations. Overall a good place to stay- would go here again!

Location was near civic center.. Staff was very friendly.. if i had any kind of issue,, it would be that there is NO safty bar to get in & out of tub/shower.. 2 safty bars around toilet, but nothing where one is needed most, the wet bathtub!!

Great Location and Super Happy with my Stay here I appreciated the updated furniture and bathroom counter/sink...the bed was very comfortable...I loved the Luxury-Vinyl floors (as opposed to gross carpet)...and the pool was awesome! Jennifer at the front desk was super when I arrived earlier than check in, and let me leave my suitcase and gave great directions to some close by coffee shops. Overall...

The hotel is close to a lots of store which is nice, the room was clean. The guy at the front was great and accommodating, but we can use some better coffee.

The staff were not friendly, we did not feel welcomed during our stay. My booking had free meals included for our 3 night's stay. We availed one, only on Sunday. The staff then said that there were NO MEALS on weekdays. If that's the case, why does my booking show free meals included, two of which fall on weekdays? There were very limited supply for toiletries. We were only given one toothbrush for...

A normal motel. The breakfast area is only open on weekends, but on weekdays you get a box of bread and other treats. Also, the microwave is outside the room. There's a supermarket nearby, so the location is good.

Stayed a night here prior to attending a UCLA game at the Rose Bowl. No frills but perfectly comfortable for my wife and I and our son. Air conditioner worked well, and the pool and hot tub were fun. Drive to the Rose Bowl was 5-10 minutes tops.

I'm sure all of our experiences are different. I had no issues with this hotel. Front staff was friendly. We did have to pay $20 for early check in (check in at 2, but arrived at 12. $10 every hour). The room was supposed to be non-smoking but the stench of cigarettes hit, the moment we opened the door. I had to go back to the front desk ho ask for a different room.

Definitely retro back to the 60s vibe going on here. Clean rooms and a great experience. It's no St.Regis but pulling in here really takes you back decades. The faucets all remind me of my childhood. If you want a clean nostalgic motor inn, this is it.

I stay here every year when I run the Rose Bowl Half Marathon. The rooms are a bit dated (like me), but charming (I hope like me). Very clean, convenient parking and pleasant lobby. Definitely reminds me of California in the 1960's (in a good way). Very nice and helpful staff. Quiet at night.

About a year ago we found the Saga Motor Hotel. We were in Pasadena, it was late and we needed a place to stay. Instead of getting on our cellphones and inquiring through hotel apps we drove down Colorado Blvd. and saw the Saga neon sign and noticed the hotel looked very vintage, inviting and quaint. If you have not stayed in an older hotel then you may find the experience eye opening. The decor and the atmosphere takes you back in time. The room key is an actual key. With that being said our stay was pleasant and it offered a nostalgic feeling I have not had in a long time. Property is quiet and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

I’ve stayed here in the past and have always had a great experience. However, this was my first time staying during the holidays, and I noticed significantly more disturbances than usual especially other people fighting in the hallway. The last couple of days of my stay were particularly challenging, which may have been related to the Christmas holiday period.

I had a good experience at this old hotel. The manager and employees, especially the maids, were first-rate. The manager needs to replace the old sofa and coffee table with a table with two chairs so the guests can eat their food properly.

No major issues! The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way and the sheets looked a little dirty. Parking was easy though!

This bed and breakfast was so dreamy! We stayed here for a one night staycation and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. My husband and I just stayed at Bissell House for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The home is beautiful and immaculately kept. The Bissell House was the gorgeous getaway Mom and I needed! The home is stunningly furnished and adorned with antiques do the eye candy is endless. I came here so I can run the rose bowl half marathon. I was able to do late check out for no extra charge which was amazing.

It’s a Motel! I didn’t realize I had booked a room at a MOTEL! I pulled into lot and was greeted by a homeless man and his shopping carts. The Office is a window! The room was decent. Room was clean and apparently recently renovated. If in the area I might rebook. If traveling with wife and kids, no go!
