Last minute Valentine's wknd getaway. Stayed in #225 (booked thru VRBO), end unit right above the parking.
Outerside of the building & ceiling structure of the parking needs some work & better lightingn but the studio was just right! Pool, hot tub & bbq grill on site and small access to the public beach, little tide pool & saw a honu munching on some greens.

Fully stocked with kitchen essentials, towels, beach gear (incl a small cooler); kitchenette, washer & dryer. No AC but there's ceiling & standing fans - we lucked out with not too humid temps and a great breeze.

Be prepared for some night street noise (island cruisers) if the room door is open for ventilation & on Sundays the next door church services start at 730am - music carries over but NOT bothersome. The crashing waves mutes most noise and perfect ambiance to fall asleep to. Little convenience store across the street, shuttle stops to Ali'i Dr shopping area in Kailua is just outside the property & across the street.

We are checked in to our unit and I have to say I’m quite disappointed. We rent thru Vacasa a lot in Washington and Oregon because we know that they hold a high standard and understand that people who are traveling are doing so for pleasure. They want basic necessities for the area in which they are visiting. There is not even salt and pepper in the unit. These are not perishable and we didn’t buy any at the store upon arrival. We have 2 kids on the reservation. There are no sand toys, boogie boards or umbrellas. I have stayed in 8 different VRBO properties in Kailua Kona over the past 15 years and this is the only one that has nothing to help guests go to the beach. This unit should not be marketed to children because there aren’t even sand toys. It’s disappointing after traveling so far that I had to go buy beach supplies at Walmart. I messaged the property and was basically told that there was nothing they could do. They didn’t offer anything. There wasn’t even bath mat or extra blanket in the room. The pool was advertised as heated n it was not. It was unbearably cold. I asked about it and got no reply. The next day, we saw the roaches. They were in kitchen drawers and in the bedroom. We also ended up with bites on our bodies, probably from the beds? It was a horrible experience. Vacasa should hold themselves to a higher standard than this bare bones unit. It will make me think twice before booking thru Vacasa properties again.

We stayed in #211, Nov 2025

Excellent oceanfront location
The location, view, and apartment itself are fantastic!

We really enjoyed the sunsets and watching turtles on the shore below the balcony in the morning!

The primary bedroom and living room are both visible from the ground at night - so you have to plan your use of lights at night. Internet speed could be better, and hoping tub in hall drains better for you.

Second bedroom - you will want windows closed with AC at night because of street noise from Ali'i. This room has blackout curtains.

All that said - this property is well-appointed and had just about everything we needed while there - other than groceries. Management was very responsive to concerns.

We enjoyed it. Hope you do too!

I was very impressed by this place. Not only was the location great, but the staff was wonderful, and the in room amenities were above and beyond. I was also incredibly impressed by the cleanliness of the room. Having been a housekeeper, I pay close attention to detail, and I also know the effort that goes into keeping a place so pristine when it’s near the beach. There was not a speck of sand or dust in the apartment when I arrived. Also noted, I stayed in apartment 264. I would definitely stay in this location again!

Our first day here and we have been stormwatching. XD But honestly, because the view here is just so phenomenal, we can’t complain! Even with the rain and strong winds, the view is absolutely stunning. And I love how the cool sea breeze just hits you while you are in your residence! I am staying at an Airbnb and I would absolutely recommend this short term home. Can’t wait to go snorkelling and what not around here when the storm is through!

Absolutely awful stay in this place. (5 x days ago) Our room (which was located across the road) was filthy - dirty bed cover, stains on bedroom carpet, dirty bathroom - I had to wash dishes (cups) before we could use them. Light bulbs had not been replaced. The condo smelt terrible. So over priced - Would definitley not recommend and we wont be back!

We stayed at this location for 2 weeks in Jan/Feb 2023. Stayed in a 2 bedroom with 4 adults and 2 kids.
The location is fantastic and the views of the beach were great.
The kids loved playing in the pool.
The room was a bit worn - peeling paint, torn carpet, etc, but nothing that impacted day-to-day use.

Excellent location, close enough to shops yet not in the middle of all the noise. Easy to go north or south on adventures or beaches. Beautiful ocean views! Our condo didnt have ac but did have fans that helped and it was clean. For sleeping capacity of four, it was lacking enough towels and cloths and pillows. We had a great stay but I would say if you plan to cook any of your own meals, the kitchen utencils and dishes were barely adequate amd no sharp knives for cutting fresh fruit or.. anything. Poke bar was right downstairs but limited hours. We didnt use the pool area but it looked nice. We had a great stay.

Amazing Ocean front view, property has sufficient parking. Food and market just 2-3 mins drive away, and it’s on Ali’i drive which is lit all the times. Apartment had one window AC in the living room, air could reach the second small bedroom, that was the only downside. Balcony and master bedroom had really very amazing ocean view.
