For the price, value wasn't there. Building is run down in multiple places, walls, elevator, windows. Confusing billing and billed for breakfast that was covered in package. Great service and wheel-chair help with my sister. Appreciated. Valets are too aggressive to move me out of way, needed to pickup up disabled sister at the front.

We had a nice view and a fairly quiet room. The pools didn’t do much for us but we could see how kids may enjoy them. The condo was clean and well equipped. If you needed anything additional the front desk was helpful. The portable air conditioner was a life saver for being able to sleep. My only concern was the bed and pillows. They definitely need updated. The pillows need to be updated ASAP.

We were very surprised when we arrived our condo had no air conditioning! I was told most units do not have air. The front office helped move us to a suite with air in the bedroom, thankfully as we were there for 6 nights. I feel it should be advertised better on the website that air conditioning is limited. We had a great experience at Whaler's Cove! The space (#212) was perfect for our family (2 adults, 2 kids), and had everything we needed. We were comfortable and loved the view! The location was so great as well - close to good food, shopping, and easy for day trips around the island.

The Fern Grotto Inn made our stay in Kapa'a very enjoyable. Our unit was compact yet comfortable, and the kitchenette was well-appointed with small appliances and cookware. The house was very clean, the gear well-maintained, and our experience was 10/10. They even ground the coffee and left flowers for us. The front desk service was so-so. I requested twin beds in the booking notes, and booked through an agent on Ctrip, but they couldn't get one. They even said that terms like "king/twin" don't guarantee availability. Lesson learned, and I'll share this with others: if you definitely want twin beds, read the details carefully before booking. Resort doesn’t offer anything that can be close to 4 star. No host or resort employee knows premises after 7pm, it’s hard to connect with them on the provided number after hours. We booked our stay here last minute from Oahu and were so glad we did. The resort has been perfect for us including room size and amenities on the property. The washer/dryer in the room is a HUGE plus for a family of 5 and the length of our stay. We couldn’t be more pleased and definitely plan on visiting again soon!

This was a piece of paradise. We stayed here for 3 nights. Great location close to restaurants and a grocery store. Views were amazing and you can walk from the room to the beach down a private path. The pool made you feel like you were truly in a tropical place and not just a hotel pool. The restaurant had love music and great food.
