Totally remodeled and looks beautiful. Lobby decor and rooms are all brand new with flat screen TVs and beautiful bathrooms.
This hotel was incredible. The spaces were clean and the staff went above and beyond to assist me. I was stranded in Lexington due to a flight change and they sent a shuttle to collect me from the airport. Their bar is enjoyable and their staff offered to keep the pool open late so that a few guests could continue to enjoy the facilities. I was offered a late check-out since I was flying out at 6pm, and they paid for my taxi to the airport when the shuttle wasn't running. Overall, I was extremely impressed and would gladly stay again.
I am so embarrassed that I had rented a room for my daughter to stay there. I am shocked Marriott would even allow people to stay there.
First positive note was the front desk staff was nice. But everything went down hill from there. The first room the bathroom ceiling was coming apart and she had to move. When she moved into a new room it smelled so bad and the room was dirty. The smell was so bad she had to checkout and went across the street and checked into the Best Western. And according to her the place was 100 times better and cleaner.
I wish I would had read the reviews about this place before booking!

The rooms and services were very good when managed by Marriott but since they opted out, the standards have dropped greatly. The lifts are very dirty, housekeeping hardly exists and the rooms though ok but don't have fridges. At a rate of over $100 per night, more value was expected for money.
For the hall, after the event planner finished decorating, nobody was available to clean up....expected much more.

For the price I expected more updates rooms but it was very clean. They don’t have fridges In the rooms but when I asked about this they brought one up to me. For some reason they were not serving breakfast while we were there. The indoor/outdoor pool was very nice. For a one night stay it served its purpose, probably would not stay again though
Great staff. Food & drinks are reasonably priced and very good. Hotel & guest rooms are clean, updated & will definitely stay here again
Not many amenities but the beds were comfy and that's all we needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Oh also the indoor pool is indoor/outdoor and was pretty cold!
The stay was nice. It was easy to check in and the gentleman at the front desk even showed me how to get to my room. The room was beautiful. The shower was nice and it had tv with shows my son would like. The only complaint would be the bed. The sheets were sort of rough and the bed was more firm than I'd like. Besides those two complaints the stay was wonderful.
Nice hotel and friendly staff but... in my opinion the pillows were to soft there was no mini fridge or microwave in the room. Not a big deal if you aren't staying long but would have been nice. The price is definitely not worth the room I've stayed in cheaper hotels with more room amenities
Good location reasonably close to the Kentucky Horse Park, the hotel itself though is not up to the standard of most Starwood properties though.
The ac didn't work when we first got to the room and we had to get maintenance to reset the unit. The second night we stayed there was a bus load of teenagers that checked in and the walls did not do a very good job of attenuating the noise. We were next to the elevator equipment room and listened to it run a lot too. Finally the Internet at our room was very intermittent with a poor signal strength.
It looks like they have updated some of the rooms, but they need to work on some more of the basic things.
